~*~The OFFICIAL 2014 Dates Thread - Come Join Us!~*~

I haven't booked a WDW trip becasue I am checking to see what the bounce back offer will be when we go in September but my family did book our first disney cruise for may 1st!!!

Your first Disney cruise? How exciting for you! :yay: :woohoo: I've never been on a cruise, Disney or otherwise. Where are you going?

You are coming from a long way away - is Australia as beautiful as I imagine it to be? :goodvibes

How many days are you planning to spend on the dark side? :teeth:

I'll add your resorts onto the list. If anything changes, just post an update.

It is, most of the time. But I can see why people live to visit :)

We are doing 2 days at the dark side :thumbsup2

Thank you! :flower3:

You sound so disappointed, Kelly. I'm sorry the prices were higher than you expected. Any way you can make it work?

Talking that over now!

Considering several options -- going ahead with trip as planned, staying off-site, going with the original May plan (since it's less expensive than Christmas), going with 2 or 3 of my kids and leaving hubby home -- so not sure what we'll end up doing right now.

I'll keep you posted. popcorn::

Sooo ... was everyone able to book what they wanted today? pixiedust:

I priced mine from Aug. 3 to Aug. 15 2014 in a LM room at AoA, and it actually seemed feasible!!! Now I'm itching to book but am waiting for a new credit card to arrive... :rotfl: I hope everyone else had good luck!!

Hubby -- the voice of reason -- :lmao: -- says not to do anything until August 1st. That's the day we can call for a room-only booking quote. Hopefully we will hear an affordable number!! pixiedust:

"Not do anything"...? I'm almost willing to bet, you have your ADR's and back-up ADR's in some sort of mental PTR rough draft. Not to mention potential MVMCP, Osbourne and CP nights.

3 weeks to go for us December-ites. Ho ho ho... :santa:

Whoo Hoo!!! All booked up. Got our reservations today. :cool1: :cheer2:

My family will be arriving on Friday night (Jan 17th) at 5:10pm. Check into Caribbean Beach Resort preferred rooms hopefully in North Trinidad but either there or Martinique for sure. We have 8 days of tickets with Park Hopper option and the Dining Plan. pixiedust:

Our prices went up drastically this trip but that is because we are paying for the preferred room this time and we have to pay for the Dining Plan, the last 2 times we went in Sept and the Dining Plan was free.

Oh well. I am just so excited!!!! Got our plane tickets, hotel reservations, park tickets and food taken care of. Now we just have to wait till July 21st to make all our ADR's!!! In the home stretch now. :goodvibes

We loved being in Martinique when we stayed, so close to everything. We will at Disney the same time as you. We have been to Disney many times in January but never over MLK weekend. Have you been there over the holiday weekend before? I am wondering if we should have a pool resort day over the weekend or just go for and go to HS on Sunday, Jan 19th. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that free dining is offered during your stay. We are DVC members so it is not an option for our trip but I hope it comes through for you.:wizard:

I'm so bummed! We've never stayed on-site before -- my hubby always said that he wanted a kitchen and space to spread out in. Finally talked him into staying on-site when we went to Disney this past May and met up with a college friend of his and his family -- who were at AOA as it turns out! -- and now I think prices are going to send us off-site again. :(

We can stay off-site at Windsor Hills for around $110 a night. And for that we have 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a private pool right outside the door. Guess I'm not meant to experience the "on-site magic" -- at least not until some of our kids have families of their own to vacation with. :(

I hope free dining comes available for your trip to help bring the cost down. WOuld the Cabins at the Wilderness Lodge work for your group? Then if free dining comes available you are set.

Whatever gave you that idea?? :lmao:

He just had to remind me that while the cost may be more, we have more months to save up the cash. So hopefully it'll all work out in the end!

Three weeks from tomorrow we can book room only!! :santa:

I think we would get free dining at AOA as long as we have a suite. They don't offer it for the LM rooms. And the hubby insists on two bathrooms. Otherwise it'll take forever to get out the door in the mornings! And it's not just our daughters! Our teenage boys can also monopolize the bathroom! :lmao:

Fingers crossed that you get the number you want. How does he expect you to do nothing until then? I don't even think that's possible. popcorn::

We will be there from May 30 - June 6 - celebrating my DD's 14th BD. Staying either Poly or WL :cool1:

LOL! Probably not!

I think what he meant was to not give up on the Christmas trip until we get a room quote at least. Not too rush off and book off-site or switch plans back to the May stay.

Oh, well that's far more reasonable then.:rotfl:

2 things:

1) It's 200 days today! Starting tomorrow that ticker will start with a 1. Seem like just yesterday it started with a 3.

2) Has anyone done a pre-RD breakfast at H&V and still done Jedi training? Trying to puzzle it out is making me crazy. I keep reading that DHS actually opens earlier than the published time most days, if they open before we're done eating what are the chances that it will fill up before we get there? Touring Plans has it at a 5.1 on the crowd calendar.

Haven't done Jedi training but have done H&V. Love it!!!! My youngest insists on it every trip (she has special needs and loves all the Disney Junior characters).

I know HS opens at 8:00 on SWW days. Unless they're doing the morning EMHs then it could be 8:00 those days as well.

I think if you got a 7:30 breakfast time you would be fine. It's a buffet so you aren't waiting to be served.

Hi everyone!! I am so excited to be adding a 2014 trip! I just booked the Yacht Club for November 6-10 for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon! I am going for my C2C medal next year, and am doing Tink in January in DL.

I have never been during the Food and Wine Festival and have always wanted to go - this seemed like a good way to take advantage!

I am hoping for a BB when we go in August this year, and if one is available I am hoping to add an end of summer trip as well.

Bearcats, I am so sorry! The dates changed (thankfully we got refundable airfare), once I was able to really price everything out.

The trip is officialy 2/3/14 through 2/14/14, POFQ.

Not only does that save us quite a chunk of change, the predicted crowd on the heaviest day we are there is 4/10, not counting 2/14 as not only is it Valentines, but it is the start of Presidents Day Weekend.

Which means my count is down to 207 days, and in just 27 short days, I can start making my dining reservations.

We were also able to change our flights with no problem for the same price, so that was a bonus as well.

Once they announce the dates for the Wine&Dine 1/2 for 2014, we will book the November trip as well.

Now that its all real (ie booked), time to buckle down and get this trip paid and save for the souviners and the next trip. :scared1:

Hi, my dates can now be updated to 10/1/14 to 10/10/14! :goodvibes

Will be booking Beach Club (or Yacht) when the room level I want are finally available!

We're booked! :thumbsup2 Booked 1/22-1/25 at CR - bay lake view. Booked it for the 4 of us for now (me, DMIL, DS & DD). Still waiting to hear from DH and DNiece and if they are both coming we'll have to move resorts but for now its official!
