~*~The OFFICIAL 2014 Dates Thread - Come Join Us!~*~

Thanks! :) It's been so interesting reading through the threads on this forum.

I'm hoping to stay in a Little Mermaid room in AoA. We stayed at POP last year and really enjoyed it there, but when we walked over to AoA from POP, I was really impressed with the theming and thought it might be exciting to stay there. Plus we can't afford anything more than a value :rotfl:

When I put you on the list, I'll put you down for AoA. If anything changes (your dates, your resort, etc.) just be sure to post an update for me, k? :goodvibes

There's nothing wrong with staying in a value! My husband and I stayed at POP and really liked it and have recommended it to many. :)

I'm so glad you have your answer now. :goodvibes Now you can start making real plans and everything will fall into place. :teeth: Should I go ahead and update the list?

I've heard FW is the place to be at Halloween, so I'm sure you will enjoy that very much! At least he is still keeping the possibility open for the future - it definitely could be worse! ::yes::

Yep, we can update! Jan 27-30 at the Poly, Jan 30-Feb 3rd at BC. Of course all of this is depending on a decent winter discount. It seems like the last few years have been 30-35% on deluxe so hoping that trend continues. If for some strange reason there's either no discount or a crappy discount it'll be the full week in a Cars suite at AoA.

Now's when the real fun begins. Booking tomorrow, Feb hours on the 15th(ish), ADRs on the 31st and then I can finally put that Touring Plans subscription to good use. Waiting on pins and needles until October for a discount and then before you know it it will be Christmas and time to surprise the monsters. I've been reading everything I can on BC today, I did a lot of research on the Poly before but BC is new to me.

Enjoy! I scheduled an afternoon just to visit AoA and look at everything. I have a Cars addict so I'm sure that will be his favourite part but the whole resort looks amazing.

Tomorrow is finally almost here!! (If that made any sense) :confused3 Still not sure which resort I will book, but I know I can always change it. :rotfl:

Hey Holly! :wave2: I'll get you moved from October to November. Where offsite are you considering staying? Once you get your resort plans figured out, just post so I can update that - for now I'll list you as TBD. :teeth:

Best of luck in the Jingle Jungle 5K! :cheer2:

Thanks! :) I am excited...I haven't run a 5K race yet, but by then I hope to have a couple under my belt. We aren't sure where we are staying yet. We can get a great deal with my husband being a veteran at a few different places off site, so we are going to decide when he knows exactly what dates he will have off of school. I will update when I know more! :goodvibes

Hey everyone!

Nothing booked yet, waiting on a job confirmation but it looks like we will be back at wdw in may 2014!!!!! :cool1:  :cool1:

We are planning for the 9th to the 20th. So hopefully our dates will let us see the Epcot flower and garden festival, but we are just excited to to be going back!

:woohoo:

We are planning to do the same thing, we are going to use one of our days as an "off" day and we are going to go tour around AOA and take pictures of all the amazing statues. :goodvibes

Well it is finally here, July 10th and the rates are being released. My travel agent is armed with all our info and I can't wait to hear from him later this morning and know that we are finally booked. pixiedust:

I need as much pixiedust: as you guys can spare for tomorrow morning. I just checked my international long distance rate and let's just say if they leave me on hold changing my reservation too long I might have to use my vacation fund to pay off my phone bill.:rotfl2: So really I just need some "no waiting on hold" dust. Why can't Disney just get a toll free number like every other international company in the world?

Thanks!! :hyper: I can't wait to check out packages today :) I will definitely keep you updated.

When I looked this morning it only allowed you to look up dates before mid-July 2014....so a year from now. It wouldn't let me look up anything for Christmas. :santa: So I'm just going to call on the 31st and do the 499 days out room-only booking.

On hold now. I'm not sure what this hold music is but in some parts it sounds exactly like the music from Harry Potter. It's sort of hilarious.:rotfl2:

We're (mostly) booked! :cool1: I just checked the email and she accidentally booked me until the 31st at the Poly but that's no big deal to change and it can wait until the release date madness is over.

If any of you talk to Ethel at the reservations center this morning be extra nice to her. Her day is a little less than magical right now. :)

Clock is tick tock-ing by and we are super excited.

Plans have been made, now we have to just find ways to pass the time.

Might be too late but I know that a while ago people were asking about staying at POR vs. AoA. We did a split stay last November between the 2, stayed at Alligator Bayou at POR and in a Lion King suite at AoA. If anyone has any questions I'd love to try and help.

You don't have to leave the thread just because you're going this year now - keep coming in and chatting! :hyper2: You have to come in and share details from your trip to keep the rest of us going! :rotfl: :lmao:

Congrats to your husband on his new job! :goodvibes

Thanks :) And you never know, we could always end up throwing in another trip next year. DH did laugh last night at dinner that if he gets a shut down next summer he knows where we'll end up ;)

We should arrive there late on the 27th this month. I saw this a.m. AoA has LM available so we may end up booking there. Have the ressies and last night BOG opened up more slots as there was a lot of availability and I was able to get one so I am completely excited!

Priced our 2014 trip with the release of rates. Only went up about $164 for us. But I've heard several stories about drastic increases for Deluxe.

Can anyone tell me around how much out of pocket 2 adults on the dining plan will cost. What I am asking is what is spent on average for tips and 1 meal a day that are not included. This would be for the regular dining plan so 1 sit down 1 quick service and 1 snack. I know that there is no way to tell exactly but I am looking for an estimate so I can budget (I would also rather budget high than low) Thanks!

Sorry behind on answering this and I know you got a few other answers, but wanted to throw my 2 cents your way.

I have always gone on the dining plan with 2 adults... and while it depends on a lot of factors, tips usually come to $20 or less. A strategy that I do is to go to Allears website and look at the menus for the places that I plan on eating... pick out the most expensive items on the menu (or if I know what I want that item)... add it all together and figure what the tip is from that total.... I always OVER estimate... this can also help you figure out how much you would need for extra meals... personally I always found the 2 meals more than adequate and had a hard time using up snack credits, which I know some people will use those to buy foods to make up for the 3rd meal.

I hope this helps!

Whoo Hoo!!! All booked up. Got our reservations today. :cool1: :cheer2:

My family will be arriving on Friday night (Jan 17th) at 5:10pm. Check into Caribbean Beach Resort preferred rooms hopefully in North Trinidad but either there or Martinique for sure. We have 8 days of tickets with Park Hopper option and the Dining Plan. pixiedust:

Our prices went up drastically this trip but that is because we are paying for the preferred room this time and we have to pay for the Dining Plan, the last 2 times we went in Sept and the Dining Plan was free.

Oh well. I am just so excited!!!! Got our plane tickets, hotel reservations, park tickets and food taken care of. Now we just have to wait till July 21st to make all our ADR's!!! In the home stretch now. :goodvibes
