June 8-13 at Port Orleans Riverside and maybe a royal room to celebrate graduation with my mom! princess:

:welcome: I'll get you added to the list for June. Is it your graduation you will be celebrating? If so, early congratulations! pixiedust:

If either of you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Meanwhile, we'd love to get to know you, so jump in and join the conversation! :hyper2:

Move us out of the May column please!

Decided to skip the hassle of college reunions and two different spring exam schedules and just do a Christmas trip! :santa:

First time staying on-site and first time at Disney for Christmas decorations!!! :yay:

(And last true family vacation for oldest dd -- she'll begin graduate school the following semester!)

So put us down for December 12-20 - AOA family suite

Move you from May to December - no problem! :goodvibes You're so lucky to be able to see the Christmas decorations and do MVMCP! I'm so insanely jealous! :hyper:

As far as MVMCP dates, I went over on the TPAS board and did a quick search. Looks like historically they've been released in the beginning of May, lots of times on May 1st.

Okay, we are tentatively changing our dates. :) I am going to attempt to run the Jingle Jungle 5K (is that what it is called??), and that is in early November, apparently. We are going to try for November 3 - 14, and probably be staying offsite. I am sure plans will change again, but this is what is going on for now! :)

Hey Holly! :wave2: I'll get you moved from October to November. Where offsite are you considering staying? Once you get your resort plans figured out, just post so I can update that - for now I'll list you as TBD. :teeth:

Best of luck in the Jingle Jungle 5K! :cheer2:

Hi I'm Karla and it has been decided that we (me, DH, DS, and DD) will be coming back down to Walt Disney World in July 2014.

We are looking at July 18th - 27th. We will most likely staying at Pop Century or Art of Animation, Little Mermaid room. We need a slightly lower end room but will be splurging on the food. We love the food and that is where we want to spend our money.

We will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary! We are also celebrating our nieces' high school graduation party while we are down. This will be my 19th trip and we are so very excited!!! :cool1:

Will be adding a ticker very soon.

I think those dates will be great! We were there last year the 15-22 and the only time we really noticed crowds was Friday night the 21st at Epcot.

MVMCP--I want to say the dates come out in May, but I am not 100% on that. I was really sick that night so we rode some rides, watched Wishes and left. The parade is supposed to be really good.

Cinderella Castle Lights is my favorite thing!!! They do a little show when they turn the lights on. It is cute if you can see it, but not something to arrange the day around.

Osborne Lights--DH's favorite thing (and a close second for me). Amazing!!!! Pictures do not do it justice!!! We saw them 3 different nights. :lovestruc

CP--In 2011 DB and I waited in line for 2.5 hours to see NPH as our narrator. So good! DH had no interest last year so we skipped it. The dinner package is recommended if you know you want to see it, but dont want to stand in line.

Holiday storytellers are fun too. I have only seen a couple of them. We just dont spend much time in Epcot.

I think every resort has a tree and some decorations. GF has the gingerbread house and BC has a carousel. CR and Poly arent super exciting, but they are so easy to see if you are doing GF anyway. WL has a huge tree and is just so cozy and warm. The campers at Fort Wilderness do tons of decorations. There are carriage rides you can take to see them. Maybe you can ride the bus too?

Each park has a giant tree too. Not sure if they are still there, but in Camp Minnie-Mickey in AK there are Christmas trees for different characters. Very cute!!

Oh and Santa Goofy! He was at the Osborne Lights last year. I think before that he has been at AK.

Why am I going in February again?! :rotfl:

This is SOOO helpful! Thanks!!

I can't wait to start planning all the new activities!

Valgoof put it perfectly. Especially when it comes to the resort hopping to see the different decorations. A good way to kill 2 birds is to plan a meal at a resort that's not yours and from there check out the neighboring resort. This is easiest done with the monorail resorts or the boardwalk resorts.

PS: 2 days until 2014 package release day.

It has been awhile since I have been on this thread, had to get through our trip to HHI last month. Now I am ready to plan again for 2014, we are now booked for two trips in 2014.

We did have a slight change for January 2014, doing a split stay between BWV and BLT. We are waitlisted to be at BWV for our entire stay so this may change again.
BWV January 18 this will be our first time staying at BWV. Any tips to share?
BLT January 19-25

I am trying to figure out our dining plans since they open up on July 22, is anyone else getting ready to book 180 days out over MLK weekend?

I am not sure if we should just do a pool day on Saturday January 19th or try to go over to HS for awhile. I am slightly concerend about the crowds that weekend. Does anyone have any experience on MLK weekend crowds? I am wondering if we should do just HS on Thursday January 23 instead?

Another update for 2014 for us, we booked another stay to celebrate our 10th anniversary on May 22, 2014. So we are currently booked May 18-25, 2014 at BLT but hoping to get in at BC when the 7month window opens up. Does anyone have any experience trying to get a studio at the BC in May 7months out?

Welcome aboard Dis Friend. We all have one thing in common. We Love Disney.:lmao: We are July Vacationers.

Thanks!

:welcome: to the DIS and to our group! :goodvibes

Have you checked out the crowd calendar for the Fall months 2013? That might give you some idea of when lower crowd times are and what the temps would be like for the months you are considering.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think we will go in mid to late September 2014. Hopefully we can take advantage of low crowds which will make the heat bearable. Additionally, we could take advantage of FD if its offered. So tentatively let's say September 21-28th!!!

We are planning an October 2014 trip. It was going to be an October 2013 trip, but my daughter had an unexpected surgery and our Disney money will be going to medical bills.

Our plan is to go October 19 -24. Not sure of resort, looking at POR, POFQ and AOA. MY daughter loves the look of the Little Mermaid rooms. We will be celebrating my daughters birthday (9) during the trip.:banana::banana:

We are going oct 10-20 and celebrating my anniversary oct 6, and my granddaughters birthdays nov 26&27 they will be 9 and 5 on their birthdays. So its a little early...lol

20th anniversary?! Let me be the first to say congratulations! pixiedust:

I can wholeheartedly recommend POP to you, but that being said, I've not stayed at AoA yet. :p POP is just such a fun place, great food court, nice staff ... I'm always gonna recommend it when someone mentions considering it! :thumbsup2

I'll get you added to the list for July. Once you decide where you're staying, just make sure you post so I can get you updated. Look forward to getting to know you! :hyper2:

As far as the questions you have, unfortunately I have no answers for any of them! :lmao: Hopefully someone will be along soon who can help you! :teeth:

Not that we are counting or anything. :rolleyes1

I said something to DH about ADR day being August 11th and he thought I was crazy for knowing that date. :rotfl: I said, I am not alone. :goodvibes

:lmao: My husband always looks at me like I'm crazy and says, "How should I know where I want to eat 6 months from now!" and then gives me one of these :rolleyes2

They just don't understand how important these things really are in the grand scheme! I mean seriously, who wants to be stuck eating at the Electric Umbrella when you could be eating at Via Napoli?!? :confused3

:rotfl2:

We are planning for 9/9-9/16. It is a first trip for my DD who will be 5 and my DS who will be 2. Staying at the CBR, fingers crossed for MNSSHP and FD.

We have stayed at Pop 2 times and loved it! We have kind of outgrown it, but this time we are on a REALLY tight budget and have to go on the cheap. We refuse to do off property as it ruins the "magic" for us. We are driving as it will be half the cost of flying. We stayed last year in the Finding Nemo family suite at Art of Animation. It was superb!!! It is such a well done theme and floor plan layouts. The main pool is fantastic. If you can afford it/need the space and don't want to do Deluxe resorts, this is your new home. Any questions, I would be happy to answer. We loved it in all aspects. Staff, food court, room, pool, theming, transportation, and anything else I missed.

Will let you know when we finalize. We are waiting for the pricing in 2 days. Have a call into my travel agent and she will be getting to me before end of business on Wednesday. :thumbsup2
