~*~The OFFICIAL 2014 Dates Thread - Come Join Us!~*~

I guess I'm in the minority, but I would do MK first. One, my girls have been and my oldest would probably have a fit not going there first! But mainly b/c MK is a 2 day park for us, and I imagine it really will be in the summer, as I doubt we will get it all done in one day. I would do MK first, that way if there is anything that you really want to do, but don't have time for, you can re-arrange and go back a second day. Then I would choose either AK or DHS, based on what my kids were into.

We're going to be staying at BLT from January 20th-January 27th!
This is only going to be my second trip...my first was when I was 5 and it was the 25th anniversary - so I haven't seen Cinderella Castle without all of that pink icing all over it! This trip is also going to consist of me convincing my DBF that we need to move to Florida. :stir:

November 2014 two weeks undecided waiting to see what offers come on

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. :teeth:

Resort room window decorations, stroller signs, dining punch cards ... way too much to explain - go here Creative DISigns and check it out for yourself. :teeth: Be forewarned though - you can spend hours looking at stuff (it's a real time suck!). ::yes::

We had lots of fun decorating our resort windows. We added some postcards from our home town and personalized Disney decorations for everyone. We did not see many other windows that were decorated at the resort but had come across some on-line sites that had some incredible decorations that folks had done on both windows and doors. We knew to use materials that would not damage any surfaces and no one at the resort seen to have a problem with our windows. In fact, the mousekeepers even added some "towel animals" to our display. Not sure if folks in some resorts tend to do this more than others but it was fun and we hope to do this again.

I'm planning a trip in October, just me and my youngest with my father and step-mother. I haven't picked a firm date yet, but know that it will be early to mid-October. We will stay at POR.

I finally figured out the dates on our first ever family vacation. It will be July 25-30th. I figured we can celebrate my husbands birthday. While we are down there.

Does anyone know how much it is to do the dress your girl up like a princess? I would love to do this with my step-daughter. What all should I take? This is my first time going to so i am actually clueless about what to take with me. I know sunscreen, etc but i dont know what else i should take.

My grandma lives down close to WDW so we are going to stay with her while we are down there. :cutie:

Can anyone else not get the wdw website to work for 2014? I'm trying to price out a trip for early March 2014, but the site either tells me that there are no rooms available anywhere on site(hard to believe), or when I try to select a date in March from the calendar it closes the calendar and keeps the current date in. I've tried on three different browsers and two different machines.

Package prices for 2014 haven't been released yet - and I believe you can book room only but have to call it in.

That being said, DH has given me the green light to book once the packages are released and to "go all out" on next year's trip :cool1:
I have to admit though, I still would like to sneak in a quick trip this year - last night I came into the room where DH was and he was watching WDW parades on youtube! I about fell over that he was doing this with no kids around - well DS caught on and started asking "more Disney? Go back to Disney?" (he'll be 3 next month). and DH asked if he wanted more video and he responded "no, Tyler go back to Disney". So this led to putting the personal videos on the tv which made me really wish I was going back sooner. But the bright side with waiting to next year, we can plan a longer trip and not rush as much.
This week is also a tad bitter sweet because I really wanted to take DD for her 5th b-day which is next Wed. and we talked about it which would've had us leaving this upcoming Sunday but due to everything else going on, we couldn't fit it in. (To cheer me up, the new carpet is being installed on the 16th :) )
Sorry to babble, haven't been back on in awhile and I'm sitting on my lunch with nothing more to do today :)

 for new carpet! It sounds like next years trip is going to be amazing.

I solved my stroller dilemma. I was cleaning out the basement storage room and found our Combi flare. I bought it when DS was little and put it down there when DD was born and we switched to a double and then completely forgot about it (we're not going to talk about the fact that I had so many strollers I actually forgot I owned one :rotfl:) It folds small and very light for the bus, storage basket, sunshade, tall enough for both kids and the front bar comes off so they can get in and out themselves. Everything I wanted and best of all, FREE.

Even though it is 18 months away, I am getting super excited for my next trip. Everyone thinks that I am crazy! We will be at the happiest place on earth from 9/19-928. Not sure where we are staying yet. Have stayed at CBR twice and loved it. But want to try something different. Stayed at CSR last trip. My absolute favorite thing about CSR is that is perfectly located centrally to everything and bus rides were so short to everywhere we went. I wasn't in love with the rest of the hotel though... Thinking about staying at port orleans but afraid it seems almost remote after CSR. Also very tempted to stay at Wilderness lodge. Love everything about this place, except the idea of sharing transportation with other hotels... Advice on hotels would be great.

Looking forward to most on this trip: MNSSHP, new mine train coaster, mymagic plus enabling the princesses to greet my daughter by name, and the expansion of potter world!!!

We are going January 2014. First time as a family!

Is there a FB page?

I'm not sure if there is a FB group set up for January, 2014 or not. There may be an individual January thread here though. If you want to be added to the list on this thread, just post your dates and where you're staying. :goodvibes
