I ran further today than I ever have before! 8.13! My training plan had a 5 miles but crazy me signed up for a 12 miler that is in 2 weeks so I felt like I needed to up my mileage to get a little closer to 12. I did a trail run for the first time and really liked it. We'll see how my body will feel about it tomorrow. Running around my neighborhood gets so boring so the thought of running 8 on the streets sounded horrible. I need to find some other places to run to mix it up some more. I felt great about my run - I finished just over 1.5 hours which was quicker than I thought I'd be able to do it.
Getting more and more excited about the W&D day by day. BTW - is anyone else addicted to looking for other races to run? I've created a spreadsheet to keep track of races that look fun or interesting. I think I'm a little nuts.

) and she turned back to her yard. I kept on running, and finished out my last mile and a half feeling pretty strong.

. I have no idea how to prevent this
. It's only my second toes (which are not longer than my big toes) which is odd. All of the other toenails grow out...the second toes grow UP. A while back, I'd gone 7 miles and my toes hurt so bad afterwards. The toenails turned black and blue the next day and took about 6 weeks to finally fall off. Now, the second toes on both feet are all black and blue (and really thick
??) so I am taking today off and hoping to try and run tomorrow morning before work. I've heard (from the salon that does my pedicures and the folks at the running store) that this is not an uncommon problem, but nobody had any suggestions for me. How about you guys...anyone have this problem? What do you do?
