Hi Amy! Can't wait to see "our" pictures!

I know, I'm so excited about going!

I hope you are able to get on the road quickly that day! . We onc flew in really late and waking up th next morning IN Disney with a whole day in front of us was GREAT!

This will be our 2nd time taking our DD out of school. Like Kristen, we don't start back until the Tuesday after Labor Day. Madison will be in school for 11 days and then she'll miss 6 days. She's going to be in 3rd grade and she's very smart. The whole month of Sept is all review (which, not to toot my own horn, she doesn't really need) and she can catch up on any work she's going to miss on the plane.

I had friends in HS that would miss school for a week for vacation. They were always able to make up the work just fine. I think it all depends on the child and if they can handle catching up to what they missed.

I think you're right about it depending on the child. Maddison is missing 6 days? That is sounding so tempting to me.
That's good to hear about it not being a problem with students in HS missing a week. I really like going when majority are in school.
And, I still say it's no fair that some of you are still on summer break!

She's missing 6 days because we're going Wed to Wed (cheapest flights). I do like that we're still on summer vacation, but we don't get out of school until the end of June (around the 21st).

Great first school pictures!

I had debated on matching shirts, even thought about having one printed for my entire grand gathering but I believe I have decided against it. DH, DD and I have matching shirts for MNSSHP (if DD wears it, it will be after she gets tired of her costume).

I'm glad the teacher is willing to work with you and your vacation!!

Someone mentioned the Doubletree is nice as a place to sleep for the night.

We check into CBR on Sat, Sept 18th.
I want a full 1st day at WDW, so we will be leaving on Friday, Sept 17th.

I just found your report and cought up on reading it all! We are driving down on Sept 17th too because I also wanted a FULL FIRST DAY! However, since it is just me and hubby we are leaving real late so we drive at night and arrive at sunrise

Btw- your children are beautiful. I would love to have twin boy and girl; that is so special!

We are driving from NC (Raleigh area) and we are staying the first night at the Buena Vista Suites. We got a great deal going through mousesavers.com. $99 a night. Even weekends! It is nice. It has two queen beds and a separate living area (door can be closed). It includes a free hot breakfast buffet. We have never stayed there before, but it has good reviews.

We are not looking forward to the long drive either. We are from Oregon and when we moved we drove cross country...now that was a LONG drive!

I just realized that y'all will be checking into CBR the same day that we'll be checking into Pop! How cool is that?? I think you're going to love CBR!! It's such a beautiful resort!

im in, you will love CBR we stayed there on our honeymoon...if you have a choice of section i would recommend jamaica
we stayed there on our honyemoon and it seemed like that was a good location for catching busses to the parks...most all of the busses enter the resort right before jamaica and it was always a empty bus to get on there...the other stops were pretty full in them mornings

also it is pretty close to the main food and pool still a little walk across castaway cay (i think thats what its called) and has its own private pool if you want that as well.

Your family is beautiful. I love all the pics you have posted, especially the one in the matching shirts in front of the castle. You guys look like the poster family for disneyworld there.

CBR, we stayed there last trip and loved it. The grounds are beautiful and your kids will love the feature pool. Some really friendly ducks make their home there. One even tried to come in the door to our room, we were feeding them some bread and apparently it was still hungry!

You did such a good job on you intinerary book.

We are looking into a hotel the night we get there as well. Am very interested to see the place you choose. Right now I am thinking a value resort since the discount would make it under $100, but debating off property too. I'd like to be the person who could just stroll into town and find something, but I'd rather know how much I am paying beforehand (and scared I couldn't find any place nice).

I'm glad you came over! I know what you mean about the chp links. I do not like reading a PTR/TR that has already started & does not have links! I'm already on here too much as it is.

We drove down the day before the last time we went to WDW. We stayed at Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. It's across from Downtown Disney. It was VERY reasonable priced, clean & room was equal to the Disney All-Star hotel. I thought I might try something different, but I might stay here again since I know what what to expect.

At least I'm learning new things about Disney, right?

I took my camera SD cards to the photolab this week to get all my pictures develop that were on them. I need to get caught up with pictures & SD cards cleared before I add Disney to it. I had around 1,000 pictures developed!!!

This week I bought a Mickey necklace & earrings from a friend at church who sells jewelry. I was not planing on buying any jewelry, but when I seen she had this, then I had to get it! I'm excited about my new jewelry for WDW!

Um, I thought I was the only one with that problem. Just now...stepped away from the laundry thinking "I will just check quick" yeah...that works out well.

This week I bought a Mickey necklace & earrings from a friend at church who sells jewelry. I was not planing on buying any jewelry, but when I seen she had this, then I had to get it! I'm excited about my new jewelry for WDW!

These are SO nice! What a great find! Mickey jewelery is the one item I have been on the look out for this trip that I have been unable to find. I may have to break down and buy something in the parks.
