Really??? We'll be there the 13-20....a little bit of a discount since we don't get free dining sure would be nice...


I love how everyone keeps saying that they were already booked for a certain time because they thought they'd get free dining....Disney started offering free dining to get people to visit during what used to be slower times of the year. But now, if everyone books ahead, thinking they'll get free dining, Disney sees that they don't need to entice people down to fill up those rooms, so they don't offer the free dining during those times. We were going during our week no matter what because of the kids' fall break, knew we wouldn't get the free dining...but I just laugh when everyone is surprised... why would Disney offer free dining if most of the resorts are already booked?

I can't speak for everyone, but we chose fall because we like it, chose specific dates due to school fall break and frequent flier availability and are just *hoping* for a continuation of discounts available in the past. I fully understand the way discounts and supply and demand work (well. . . Maybe not ALL discounts. . . FD on Christmas week, but not Columbus day?!?) I assure you, we didn't "expect" anything, nor did we set out to disturb the laws of economics by booking in the ever-more-popular fall season.

Well I no longer have to worry about waiting for a room only. I recieved a FD pin yesterday, and had it applied to our reservation and switched from Pop to POFQ, Nov 12-18th!!!! I am so excited to get to stay at my favorite resort again. My TA also informed me that pin was a better discount than getting 20% off for RO (IF POFQ even gives 20% off) because the nightly rates were lower than she thought for our week, so we made out better!

Good luck to you all! Hope the room only becomes available to you when it comes out! I no longer have to follow the thread!

We are in the same boat. We are checking everything, everyday for some kind of discount. We are taking kids and grandkids this time for their first trip and it is going to be very expensive if we can't get some discount.

Not released for that time yet. Looking at late July or early August for that, which is normal.

Even though I know the past discount release timing per allears.net, I also was hoping with the summer special falling off the special offers page, something might appear to replace it. . . No dice so far!

Hope you don't mind me posting this here. But I've been kind of waiting for discount room myself. I'm taking a trip in October to Disney and am hoping for a bounceback offer for the end of April 2015 (end of month well after Easter) I am hoping for a room discount and get a good rate for a deluxe resort, possibly even a club level room. But since I'm going in mid October, should I expect the bb offer to be free dining? Should I be getting my hopes up for a room discount?

I will be getting an annual pass so sometimes they offer discounts for rooms, but I'm not sure how far in advance they offer those as I've never had an annual pass before. And I don't want to leave it too long after October to book.

Just a tad on the edge of my seat with all this cause I've never tried for a discount before at Disney.
