Thank you!! You as well. Never thought I'd get a discount for this week and for Beach Club at that :cool1:

We are staying at AoA Little Mermaid rooms November 16-21 w/deluxe dining.

Our price is right about $2,550.

I know PIN's don't apply to these rooms but I was wondering if when the room discount offer was released we could move over to WL or AK and keep our price point the same. Or any Deluxe really....

If not, what about POR Royal Rooms? Anyone know about how much these would be with deluxe dining for our dates?

Also waiting for Nov 7 - 10 RO discounts. Hoping, but not hopeful….Looks like everything must be well booked in WDW this year. FD seems more limited than usual. Looks like an off site or maybe the Swan/Dolphin. I'm really hoping for the BC or YC or even an MK resort.

Hang in there, everyone!

First, chocolateavacado, I wanted to say thank you for giving me the TA info. I'm always amazed at how helpful people are on here. Wish we could have had it work out, but I guess it just wasn't mean to be.

Does an agency not have to honor their quote? :confused3

I just wanted to update my experience with the TA. Got a great quote originally from him (2 rooms, with a high probability of booking a 3rd). Gave him my credit card information and asked him to book for us. He then emailed me and said it would be an additional $300 because somehow Disney wouldn't honor the rates he quoted me. I feel like something seems off about the whole thing.
The agent I've used in the past has never not honored a quote they have given me. No one I've talked with personally has ever had an agent switch rates after they have been quoted. My agent calls Disney direct for a quote and then quotes me a price on the room she has held in my name. Not sure how this place works or how he came to his totals.
All I know is I'm extremely disappointed in this agency and I'm going to have to stick with my original plan and hope for a discount directly through Disney. Hope others had a better experience if they tried.

Following along in this thread... We are already booked with free quick service dining at Pop Century for Nov 12-18th. We REALLY are hoping for a room only discount for POFQ and we will switch and pay for QSDP instead. The price will work out to be the same as what we have right now.

Last year they didn't release RO discounts for fall/winter until August!! But things change, obviously they did FD early this year, hoping they do the same!!!! :thumbsup2

Have Free Dining booked Nov 14-18 at the tail end of a conference my DH will be attending. We're thinking of joining him for the lead up week and getting APs, but the best way to make it all work is a room only discount.

Watching and waiting with you all!

Booked a cabin at Ft Wilderness for Nov. 12 - 18. I was able to get a AAA discount but am hoping for a RO discount. Just 2 of us so Free dining really doesn't work for us. We are not very big eaters. Does anyone think there will be one soon??

yup me too...but 30% at animal kingdom lodge always is good hope it comes out this year too were going december 2-11:worship:popcorn::

I m hoping for the same deal! We are booked 12/2-12/7 staying at CBR hoping for a room discount so I can upgrade to a deluxe! Fingers crossed they come out soon!

I googled october RO and some TA offer oct 8-18th :)

Really??? We'll be there the 13-20....a little bit of a discount since we don't get free dining sure would be nice...

I love how everyone keeps saying that they were already booked for a certain time because they thought they'd get free dining....Disney started offering free dining to get people to visit during what used to be slower times of the year. But now, if everyone books ahead, thinking they'll get free dining, Disney sees that they don't need to entice people down to fill up those rooms, so they don't offer the free dining during those times. We were going during our week no matter what because of the kids' fall break, knew we wouldn't get the free dining...but I just laugh when everyone is surprised... why would Disney offer free dining if most of the resorts are already booked?

The TA should be able to get that offer extended to cover your dates assuming that there is availability. They can often get an extra day or two from WDW Group Sales.

And hey, don't diss everyone who expects Disney to keep up with the sweet FD promos of years past! Disney is not a dumb corp - they are playing the game of Capitalism perfectly. We (the market) are having to bear the brunt of how great those deals were for a few years.

Supply was high and Disney knew that sweet sweet FD would bring the masses and establish a new fall season for them. Now we will see how reliant the season is on people expecting FD or a RO promo...if they leave things as they are now and cancellations start rolling in then next year they might return to deals of the past. If bookings stay high, they will continue to cut the deals until they find the right balance.

When are you guys looking to go? It's really disappointing that they've excluded POR. I hope you're able to get a pin / discount and still make your trip.

Thanks Chocolate:goodvibes

Our ideal trip dates would be 11/28 - 12/7 encompassing 10 days and 9 nights. In 2010 we had to do a RO reservation for one night, then start free dining the next. In 2012 the free dining encompassed the day after Thanksgiving. Both occasions we stayed at POR-AB, being 5 of us, the 3 DD being 10-7-5 at the time.

Without a pin code none of the dates nor the hotels really work for us. Frankly I actually don't want free dining. If I could get a 35% RO discount for one of the deluxes I would probably take that over FD. My pocket book though is slapping me upside the head and saying Think Pooh Think.. and take free dining at a moderate. Unfortunately that is not looking good at the moment.

Our options seem to be;

-Get a great RO discount for our time frame
-Look at maybe getting an AP for our family and then booking an AP discount
-Stay offsite. We have a family that might be interested in going a week earlier and would want to go offsite, this might :( be our best option.
-just shrug our shoulders and say, not meant to be

Right now, it looks like we will have to wait until August when they historically release discounts for our time frame and see if anything changes. It will be interesting to see, not that we may ever know, how many cancellations Disney will have to deal with once people realize that they've booked and their dates aren't covered. Hopefully come August, Disney will start targeting lower occupancy dates with discounts and we will be fortunate to take advantage of one. Which is also why I don't want free dining, as we would be well prior to our 180 day mark for making reservations.

Like so many others, time to wait and see.

Having such a hard time waiting... I want to book flights, but they're more expensive than I wanted for 11/30-12/06... I've tried to look at alternate weeks but can't seem to find any that work. :confused3

-Week after I'm afraid they won't offer a RO discount as it's Pop Warner week

-Going earlier in November we won't be able to do the candlelight processional, or Osbourne lights...

This is the first I'm hearing of TA's being able to get better discounts than booking straight through Disney... Can someone PM me a TA name you've used with additional discounts? TIA!
