Ok first of all can I mention............. 8 days til I am back in the World!!!! I so need to go back on vacation, I work as an ER nurse and work has been kicking my tail lately! I have been bouncing from working 12 hour nights to 12 hour days all in the same week, unable to sleep well because I don't know if it is day or night, and a few heart tugging situations that have been weighing heavily on my mind lately. So I am really really ready to be on a break for a while.

Anyway! Onto our lunch at Sci-Fi. We were on the dining plan but paid for this lunch OOP. We chose this because we thought the kids would like it for the theming and really lack of any good CS at MGM.
From what I had read it seemed the basic safe bet was to stick with burgers. Everyone did, except Dh and he got the chicken sandwich (and he liked it just fine) The burgers were good, real meat, cooked well with basic fixings. We all got milkshakes for drinks which were very yummy, but really how can you screw up a shake? LOL For appetizers we had shared onion rings and the spinach artichoke dip, and both of those were good as well. Can't make any complaints about the food, but nothing was spectacular either. Our server was nice, we only waited 10 minutes, the restaraunt was really well themed, that was the second to best part. Like I said the youngest of the kids was 5 years old...no one was scared of the movie, they all thought they were hilarious..I don't know why some people think their kids are going to be traumatized by this place My DD(7) wanted to know how come they weren't in color LOL. I don't think she had ever seen anything in black and white before.
So my #1, favoritest, most wonderful, most glorious, numero uno, best pick for being my fave part of this restaraunt. IT IS DARK, COOL, AND QUIET. It was a very hot day at MGM, we had been running and running around everywhere, and after being in the theme parks for 4 days, it was nice to have quiet. LOL.
So basically my opinion is try to do SCI-FI for lunch, try to stick to basic things like the burgers, go for anything that includes ice cream, and enjoy the cool quiet darkness!!!!

You have led a deprived life, hun!

Down here in the south it is not whether or not you have had cornbread, but whether or not you like yours sweet. I personally prefer the savory version. I want my cake for desert, thank you very much.

Really, though, your reviews are great. We are going to WCC for the first time in December. My dad can drink more iced tea in one sitting than most people can in a week, so I can't wait for him to get a bucket of tea!!!

I just MAY be trying some cornbread later in this trip report.....hmmmm you will have to keep reading to see if I like it or not. LOL Your dad would definelty need one of thsoe big Mason jars full of tea then.
I alreadyhold your opinions in high regard since you come from the south, home of real to goodness sweet tea. The most glorious drink ever. Around here sweet tea is iced tea with a packet of sugar added. it's just not right lol!

You are right, iced tea and a sugar packet do not equal sweet tea. They just make grainy iced tea.

I will keep reading, your reviews are great! Can't wait to see the result of the great cornbread cliffhanger.
