Let me preface my upcoming review that I am not a newbie to the dis nor am I a newbie to staying at any of the resorts
saying this I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had when dealing with a Disney Resort. I love Disney, I love the magic it brings, I usually see the bright side of everything, I am normally one of the most laid back, positive people
although when you rack up a mirad of controllable factors going haywire sometimes I have to vent

I had a not so great week so Friday at the spur of the moment I called Disney and asked for a resort reservation, the least expensive we could go I am a passholder and a FL resident so I got a great rate Oh by the way we stayed at All Star Sports I figured we were only going to sleep there one night so why waste money on a moderate. I have stayed in value before and all was well. We checked in pretty early 9am, and wonderful a room was ready! Got to the room and the only request I had made wasnt granted no comforters please! Ok no big deal it was an early check in...throw our stuff down and deal with it later. Lets go to EPCOT! Had a wonderful day at EPCOT, by the way my sons bday is this coming weekend and mine had just pasted so we were celebrating both. Tried out Via Napoli yummo! The strawberry water is very good! The male servers are delish to look at and I fell in love with the glassware! My only suggestion to make this place better is to put the Tequila Bar and Via Napoli closer that would be perfect! We had a great morning/afternoon and the clouds started rolling in so we made our way back to the buses to catch it before we got drenched got back to the hotel and decided to call a friend while I was talking to her my son and I removed the comforters and I made myself comfortable on the bed 1/2 way into the conversation I saw a hair on the blanket then another and another and OMG the ugly pink blanket was full of long hair! Ewww I was laying on this blanket I hung up w my friend and called the front desk and told them what was going on they transferred me to housekeeping and we got that handled they did a complete linen change for both beds as my sons bed had a few hairs too we left so they could do this and roamed around the store/cafeteria/lobby. About 30/45 min later I went up to the front desk and asked if she could call housekeeping to find out if my room was ready she said no what? She said housekeeping was gone and she couldnt call I said well may I use a courtesy phone b/c I just spoke to them she then decided to look my room up in her computer and said well it says it is clean and occupied, I just kinda looked at her and she called someone and said ok its finished...I said thanks and we went back to the room so I could take a shower...after laying in someone elses hair I was a bit grossed out. By this time we missed our ADR so we just go ready to go to MK for EMH boy its packed on holiday weekends but it sure weeds itself out after 10 gotta love EMH! We walked on just about everything we wanted and had a great eve just one note to folks who dont know you dont need a flash for fireworks on an slr camera there are some great settings that let in just the right natural light for such things read about it! Ok back on the bus, back home to our now non hairy beds! I was tired at this point and so was my son, sleep was sounding great little did we know we werent going to get any! All night long there were teenage boys running around with a wheelchair, having a great time if this were daytime I would have probably been right there with them but at 2,3,4 am Im getting grouchy I have stayed at Sports before I have stayed at Movies but I guess I never realized how paper thin the walls were, the man next door had to speak at full baritone all the rest of the time the boys werent goofing around. I called the front desk 4 times that night Finally sleep came at about 6:30, blissful dreamland knock knock knock, housekeeping, Oh I sorry 8 flipping am after I had my do not disturb sign out ok I wasnt a calm rational being any longer we showered and dressed and loaded up the car my son even said he didnt want to go a park b/c he was so tired. We went to the front desk to say a few wonderful things and the manager pawned us off to another nightshift manager we went to have breakfast and in the middle of my waffle munching here comes the nightshift manager. I explained the same story to her and although I got an apology and ½ off my room (whoohoo $32) Im still not satisfied. Its not that I want more reimbursement or something given to me tangibly. I guess what I wanted was something like a reassurance that if I recommended this resort to a friend of family member the same wouldnt happen to them I didnt get that in the least bit Why wasnt security around dealing with kids running around all night long? She blamed the chaperones Why did our blankets get overlooked (and I am not exaggerating when I say they were bad)? She said well they were taken care of Why did my phone calls go unanswered or unresolved? She said that is the Security managers issue and she will bring it up to him
Maybe I am a hotel snob but I EXPECT housekeeping and security to be 4 star or above at Disney, it is what I grew up knowing and I live here so if I am going to pay to stay at the parks that have a Disney logo and the reputation backing it up, I believe that is what I and you and everyone should receive no matter what level you are checking into!
