With less cars on the road and planes in the air, anybody noticing the sky is bluer and the visibility clearer?

Tonight and tomorrow step outside and look west to see the very bright planet Venus transit through the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters constellation. Also nearby is the the fabulous Orion constellation - a favorite to many.

DH actually just dug his telescope out of the garage today. We'll have to take a look one of these nights. For sure I can see farther off in the distance due to less smog.

Many years ago saw an advertisement in the newspapers showing a telescope being sold at a department store. Went with my dad to buy it. Amazing what could be seen in the night sky!

We'll have the ISS passing over in half an hour.

There are times when I am outside in the early evening and will catch it flying overhead. For those interested, on the NASA website you can find when it can be spotted flying over your community.

Sometimes when there is a re-supply craft flying to the station, you can see them both.
