the nicest thing a cm has ever done

Eight years ago we went to WDW with our DD & his friend. I was 6 months pregnant. I had to do a lot of waiting around while the boys did the rides I couldn't go on. One of these days at the MK, I got a wonderful hot fudge sudnae and a tall glass of ice water... yummy in late sept! I was moving toward an empty table outside when, don't ask me how, I fell... ice cream, ice, water and a preganant me sprawled all over the place! I hit pretty hard so I was a little stunned. I didn't even know I had ice cream in my hair and on my face and shoes until a CM materialized with WET NAPKINS! I couldn't have been on the ground more than 10 to 15 seconds! It was truly amazing. He was young and very kind and gentle with me. The kinder he was to me the more I cried. (remember what it was like being pregnant???) Once he helped me clean up, he helped me to a table and brought me a new sundae! EXACTLY like the original one. Of course he could tell what I had on it because I had been wearing it in my hair!! He was wonderful and I was not hurt. It just made me love WDW even more.:teeth:

One time when my sister and I were at Disney we parked at the Magic Kingdom parking lot and then in the afternoon we took the Disney transportation to Epcot and stayed until the end of the evening. When we got back to the parking lot most everyone was gone. We were parked at the far end of the lot against a fence and the car was a dark grey color so it didn't show up very well. The tram driver asked me where we were parked and he drove us right to our car. Said he didn't want us walking by ourselves in an empty parking lot. We sure appreciated it.

For 30 years, I had carried around a 4 year olds scar. I didn't get to meet Mickey Mouse when I went to MK. I wanted to do that one thing and I wasn't able to do it. Well back in September of 2002, I had planned to do the ice cream social at Epcot on our first day in the parks to remedy the situation, but I actually got a bit of a surprise on our first day at WDW, while shopping at DTD with our friends. Gabby and I managed to slip away from our friends for a couple of minutes and I really had considered going to Studio M to have our picture made with Mickey Mouse sometime later in the week, but I was unsure how much that might cost, so I wanted to check without our friend's kids around. I grabbed Gabby and said, let's go down this way and pulled her to the left. Just as we both turned left to walk down toward Studio M, I saw Mickey Mouse talking to a family that had a little girl in a wheelchair. When Mickey was done with the child, he waved to a kid that was on his left and was about to scoot back into his photo room away from the crowd. I said "Hey Mickey, can I have a hug?" and he turned around. Gabby said "Don't cry." but it was too late. I was totally immersed in a huge cloud of pixie dust. I was hugging Mickey Mouse! I was crying like a baby. I explained to the lady there that I felt
like a fool, but I had wanted to meet Mickey for 30 years and it was just awesome and overwhelming. They asked me to step inside with Mickey and they were going to take my picture with him since we didn't have a camera with us. At that point, I didn't care if the picture was going to cost $100, I was buying it. They took our picture and after goofing with Mickey and getting a few Mickey kisses and hugs, I left the room. They gave me the full package of pictures at no charge. I was shocked. I thanked them as much as I could. I offered to pay for the pictures, but they said that they were glad to give them to me and there everyone deserves to have a picture of their first time meeting Mickey. I walked away stunned and very happy. Maggie

On Test Track, when you pull a few feet from where you get in the car and you check your seat belt, well my daughter's failed (she was five at the time) but the car took off anyway. The CM responsible quickly hit the E-stop for the entire ride, and made the entire car evacuate (she said the car should not have proceeded unless all the seatbelts were secure). Well, they sent up an empty car, but by that time my daughter was in tears and scared, so she refused to get in the car. The CM said that was okay, and handed me 10 special GM passes that get you right on the ride (you go through the exit). Well, unfortunately it was our last night there, and it was only my daughter and myself, so we "had" to go on 5 times in a row completely skipping the line (after my daughter got over her fear, which took a whole 20 min!) To this day, it remains my daughter's favorite memory, going on over and over again!

.When we go to WDW we stay at the Poly and I enjoy taking my DD on a late night ride on the monorail before she goes to bed.

We always go in Sept and the crowds are very light, so when we go for our late ride we usually have an entire monorail car to ourselves. Last time we went I left my wallet in the monorail car and the CM monorail driver found it at the Transportation Center and called my hotel room to tell me she had it. She offered to bring it to me right away, but it was 11PM and I didn't want to bother her with that, so she said she would bring it in the morning.

When I hung up the phone, my husband was shocked that I didnt have her bring it now:eek: . I told him, this is WDW, surely nobody would steal my wallet here::MickeyMo.

I was right, the next day I went to the front desk at the hotel, and there it was, my wallet. I was so grateful:tongue: . I wish I would have asked for her name, because I would have like to thank her:wave:

In March we were purchasing our MK park tickets using our visa rewards card which the CM had never seen before so he had to calll some one in and it took a while ( wehad gotten there early to get a good start on our day) and finally got our tickets. it was all good as we still had plenty of time to get to the gate before opening--when the CM said he was giving us a pass to go the the front of one line. My two children thought it was so cool when we presented it at Pirates and a CM took us into one of those doors"cast members only" and then right to a boat.

A few years ago, DBF and I had the late seating for dinner at Victoria and Albert's. Around midnight, we went to the bus stop at the Grand Floridian to wait for the Pleasure Island bus so we could then transfer to a bus to our hotel. An empty bus pulled up and the driver asked where we were going. DBF explained and the bus driver said get on. He had finished all his trips for the night and took us straight to our hotel! It made our awesome dinner even more special.

Our CP dinner last Dec was at Le Cellier. After we were seated and placed our order, we started playing a made up Disney trivia quiz to pass the time. One of us would ask a question and the others tried to answer. Our server - Karrie - started playing along with us which was too much fun! When she didn't know an answer, she asked others on the staff - mainly Joe.

This took off, and we went all out! We would try to stump them - they would try to stump us. They gave us a whole written list of questions and we tried answering - they were much better! :o

As we finished our meal, we were presented with a Magical Moments certificate and each of our ds's were given a Canadian penny! We had such a WONDERFUL experience that night! We bought the Canadian mouse ears pin to commemorate our favorite Disney moment of the trip.

We found out later in the week that Karrie was supposed to be leaving Epcot to return home and we were so bummed that we wouldn't get a chance to see her on a return trip. :(

Last year at MVMCP, when we sat down to eat, my DS6 slid his 4 year old sister's tray out of the way for his and ended up sliding her tray onto her lap spilling chocolate milk all over her and all of her food hit the floor. While I was cleaning up my DD, a CM unexpectedly brought her another tray and as well as two souvenier mugs.

At MGM, the animators studio tour, the cast member showed everyone how to draw Mickey Mouse. At the end of his segment of the tour, many of the kids asked for the drawing, and were turned down.

I left the tour about five minutes early, to get our priority seating for lunch. I noticed the animator/cast member waiting near the exit.

My wife and daughter showed up about 15 minutes later, and late.

The animator had stopped them when they left, and gave my daughter the drawing. He spent several minutes chatting with her about all things Disney and Mickey.

He had to wait 15 minutes for them to come out at the end of the tour. Incidentally, she was not one of the children clamoring for the drawing during the presentation.

Truly Disney magic!

my story takes place in disney land paris 2 years ago. we went over to view the new time share house in the marite village next to disney. we arrived at the hotel newport bay (yacht and beach club) in paris and all we thought all would be ok (not).
well everything went wrong the room had a list of faults wrong with it our lugage got lost going to the room the view we were pommised when we booked over looked the car park and finaly i was left with a wife at the end of her tether and very upset over the whole holiday.plus we lost our camera when we were set to go into the theme park for the day and we left it on the bench out side the hotel.
well the manager saw her crying in the front loby and asked what had been going on. we told her all about it and said we were going to our room to rest up.
well after 20 mins we get a phone call from the manager she has arranged for us to have evening dinner on her we are to go the reception at 8.00pm to meet her. so at 8.00pm we come down to the lobby and there is cinders coach they take us up the disney land hotel (floridian) that looks down main street and then take us into the hotel for evening dinner where the head waiter waits on us all night with wine, drinks and 4 course meal and mickey, winnie the pool, tiger and mini mouse popping in to see us thought the whole meal. we had the suite reserved for vip guests only and could look down on everyone leaving the park and the castle being lit up though the night.
then we were taken back to our room where they had again moved all our stuff from our room and re-set it back up to look over the lake for one last night.

this we could not belive and to this day we can not thank disney enough

I misread my daughters blackout dates on her Fl Res Seasonal Pass (acquired when she turned 3 after hubby and I had our AP). Dad's ticket went in fine--DD didn't and I didn't understand why--put my pass through fine. CM saw looked at her ticket and let me know my mistake.

I asked what we needed to do--she said buy a day ticket--or just not worry about it.

We chose the latter :)

Two years ago we were going to the Xmas party and has PS at Liberty Tree. This also happened to be the day we were checking into our hotel. We were there with two of our daughters and their family, so we went to the MK for the day. Around 3pm my DH and myself left the park to go to the B&YC to get our room number and luggage to our room. We knew we were not going to be coming back to the hotel until late since we were going to t the Xmas party. We drove over to the hotel. Everything went fine. We got our room number (2 had a two bedroom suite) and luggage sent to the room. When we were looking the room over we had notice trash left from previous tenents and called housekeeping. They sent someone up right away ( forgot to mention this was the dvc section of the hotel and the hotel had just opened a couple of weeks earlier) and she apolized and took care of the matter. My husband had looked in the second bedroom then and found crayons drawing on all of the furniture. Not wanting to be held responsible for this we called again and they also sent someone up right away and she took care of this. Then we get phone call from the manager who tells us they were going to give housekeeping for the whole time we were there. that was great.
Now we go down to take a bus to the MK. We wait and wait buses come and buses go but not one to the MK. We make the decission to take the car. As we were waiting for valet to go get our car, I was a little upset and the head valet heard me talking to DH about all that has happened and the time and how we needed to get to the park and he asked me about it. When the car comes he hands me a piece of paper and on it was a special pass to be able to park in the Contemporary parking lot as long as we liked. He said this would cut out a lot of time for us so we could get in. It was such a nice gesture that turned a really bad afternoon into some very special.

1997: My parents were supposed to meet DW, DD (2), and I at EPCOT. They didn't show because my dad had a heart attack that morning. To make a long story short, we ended up spending our entire vacation at the hospital with dad as he recovered. One evening at the Contemporary (Concourse Grill), DW had a weak moment and began to cry. A CM asked what was wrong and we told him our story. By the time we returned to our room, there were flowers, a sympathy card, a full refund of our park passes, and a basket of fruit. Needless to say, we were completely overwhelmed.

2003: I am working with the most wonderful person in the concierge office at the YC. I want to put together some nice gift baskets for DW, DD (now 8), and DS (4). It is supposed to be a surprise. To make things extra special, the CM goes shopping for me in EPCOT and is LITERALLY walking through each pavilion and talking me through the options over a cell phone! All of this a MONTH before we were to arrive. Everyone was very surprised and happy...and I was very grateful and happy to see me family happy.

The finest service people in the world work at WDW!

Back on our honeymoon in 1996, my husband and I were trying to get our photo taken with as many characters as we could. On our last day there, we stood in line to see Daisy and Donald Duck. Of course, as luck would have it, as soon as it was our turn, it was time for them to go on their break. We told the CM that we were on our honeymoon and it was our last day. Was there any way she could sneak in one more photo before they left? She smiled and told us to come with her... she led us away from the crowd and towards their exit gate, where she let us pose for a photo with Daisy and Donald.

Holly:tongue:
