The next country to drop the "bomb" will be?

Can you clarify this for me? I stated I love my country and that bothers you? :confused3 Why would you not want me to love my country? Can anyone explain this to me?

Do not be alarmed by his post making no sense. He simply wanted to belittle you, a proud American, for being so.

He has absolutely no point, other than to run down the USA and Americans. Nothing more.

Ok,
let's agree that the use of the two bombs is at least debatable.

The other issue:
I would never try to ease the guilt of my country regarding what happened '33-'45. There is NO way to ease that guilt!!!!!

But what what really nags me is that self-righteous attitude used by some Americans when it comes to their country's guilt
-The native americans did NOT commit suicide nor handed over their land voluntarily.
-The slaves didn't swim accross the Atlantic Ocean to apply as labourers on the cottonfields
We're talking about WWII and the bomb, I believe...if you're losing this argument you could walk away or deflect it elsewhere I suppose?

You've seen 'Project Peacemaker' one time too many ;)

AFAIK it's not exactly an easy task to convert a stolen warhead into a backpack-bomb.

Never seen it. As for backpack, I was thinking more like back of truck.

Where did I lose that argument? I agreed that we disagree.
And I didn't walk away nor did I deflect. I was other people -you for example- who brought my country's history into a discussion about nuclear devices.

Go and get that movie. It's very thrilling and fits perfectly. The leads are George Clooney and Nicole Kidman and the plot is about some Russians stealing a MIRV-warhead and selling one of its bombs to Yugoslavian separatists who then build a backpack-bomb and smuggle it to NYC.

Makes me wonder why melon threads aren't allowed on the DIS, but this crap is. It's just argumentative, unproductive, "rubbish".

Bring it TB, my sleeves are rolled up!

It's not totally unproductive.

We get to see little Vikey for who he really is, and to feel how much contempt he has for the USA. I'm glad to know just how much he really despises our country.

I don't think viking despises the US..All countries have warts..Ours does..His does..I don't see any good in covering them up..We need to face them so that we can become an even better country.

Well it certainly doesn't have the bite of many of your insults but I believe my point was made :thumbsup2

Which part of 'I really like the USA and because of that I can't eat as much as I want to puke when I see what happened to the USA since the rightwing nutcases took over.' didn't you understand? :confused3
The only thing I despise is your current administration, but hopefully that will be over soon - The first step will be the Shrub becoming a lame duck in November :teeth:
TCBaby. you so full of hate that I can only pity you :sad2:

Oh, that movie. I have that one on DVD but it's called "The Peacemaker".

You're quite easy to satisfy, aren't you? ;)

Probably because your melon threads, among others, are rife with innuendos and double entendres, and therefore not within DIS board guidelines; whereas this thread is a discussion/debate, which, if kept within DIS guidelines, is permitted. Back when the Debate board was around, this would most likely get moved there for a continued debate, however, with that board now history, this type of thread is allowed here on the CB. And yes, a debate type thread, almost by definition, is argumentative, though not necessarily unproductive and/or rubbish. I would say however, your melon threads, and similar, here on the DIS, were/are unproductive and rubbish.

Not sure if that is the reason Pete would give you, just how I see it, TB. :confused3

OOOPS,
sorry about the confusion. The German version of the movie was called 'Project Peacemaker' - I just had a look at the cover of my copy and it states 'The Peacemaker' as original title in the fine print on the backside.

So don't you think that one is far scarier than a truck?

Yeah, that was nice. :rolleyes1

Do you have any sources that say the US dropped the second bomb as 'an extended field test of a new weapon' or did you make that up?

I supplied a source for my opinion on the subject.
