Hello! Welcome to my PTR! I am now 45 days away from another fun-filled Disney vacation-Come and join my countdown...

This is the story of our Happily Ever After:

The first chapter of our Happily Ever After was our wedding/honeymoon. Dh and I got married at the Swan, 10/22/05. We spent a glorious week in a fabulous room at the Swan-enjoying WDW with family and friends.
WeddingFL199.jpg

The next chapter was a trip to DisneyLand in 2006 on my birthday! It was truly magical! (I don't have a pic of us at DL-we didn't have our digital camera with us but this is from that same trip!

This guy made his appearance in 2007-DS,Brady:

But he didn't make it to WDW that year. DH and I did a couples trip to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We stayed POP and had a great time!

For our next chapter we did a bounceback offer for FD and made plans to take DS with us for his first trip the following year. (We asked my mom to go with us and she happily agreed! She's been travelling with us ever since!)
BUT
DH had other ideas for the next chapter and he planned out a surprise trip to US for my 30th birthday!! It was awesome!! We stayed at the Royal Pacific and visited both US and IOA.

Later that year the BIG chapter was written-DS's 1st trip! We stayed at POFQ and had a wonder, glorious, magical time!

For the next chapter I conviced DH that we could handle DS alone in WDW so we went back when DS was 26months. We stayed at CSR and has lots of family fun!

The next chapter was Christmastime at WDW-well early December time anyway! And we were bringing Grandma back with us! Deluxe accomodations were calling our name so we were off to the Wilderness-Lodge that is!

Con't next post...

After our fabulous WL Christmas trip we were undecided on when to go back. I think we did book a BB offer for the following fall as it was coming up on our 5th anniversary and I really really wanted to spend it in WDW, back at the site where we got married!

The next chapter would be our 1st experience with DVC! I surprised DH with a Birthday trip and rented DVC points. We stayed at SSR and had a great adult vacation!

After the trip we decided to rent points again for our 5th anniversary stay. I was able to get a 2bedroom at SSR in Late October! Yeah!

Soon after we booked our trip we found out we were expecting DS #2! The trip last fall was like no other and while I did have fun I'm glad I won't be experiencing WDW pregnant again! Brady really LOVED this trip. He was able to do all the bigger rides-Splash, BTMRR, Soarin' and Test Track! I made DH tape everything for me on the rides I couldn't go on!
We fell in love with the DVC accomodations. The kitchen was great, the bathrooms were great, the space was great!

Yes Mickey, there's a baby on board!!

Our 5th Anny at Ohana' (where we celebrated our Wedding Reception!)

A few months later this Guy joined the family!

Riley! (the baby-not the dog!)

As if that wasn't a great big exciting event that was enough for the whole year we had another exciting thing happen...WE BOUGHT into DVC!! :woohoo:

We bought a resale at SSR that even came with some extra points! So Brady and I convinced Dh and Grandma that Baby Brother really needs to add the next chapter of our Happily Ever After at WDW!!

We are going at the end of September but we will be there for the 1st few days of FWF and MK's 40th Birthday!!!

If your still here, thanks for reading along! I hope to share my planning and countdown with you. I hope to share some tips and learn some tips!

45 days to Gooo!!

I'm in! And first I think! Both of your boys are adorable! Can't wait to hear all about your plans!!

Oh me too! I want to hear more! And what adorable little boys!! That's very very awesome you were married at the Swan - I can only imagine how beautiful everything was, especially there. I bet you have the most wonderful pictures.

Since you guys bought into DVC, which property will you be staying at this time?

Our wedding was beautiful, but a tropical depression set in 15mins before the ceremony causing it to be moved indoors! :guilty: I was sad as I saw them moving the chairs inside but all that matters is I married my wonderful DH in the happiest place on Earth!

I'll tell you more Trip details coming right up!

My DS Loves WDW! Seriously, he does.

SSPX0236.jpg

I don't know where he gets it from.

SSPX0237.jpg

Ya know what he remembers from last trip? Is it the 1st rides on Splash Mt? No. BTMRR? No. Test Track? No.

All the kid talks about is SSR! He loved sleeping in his own bed next to DH and Me. He loved having his new favorite breakfast of Cocoa Puffs sitting on the kitchen counter area in the main room. He loved the spa tub!
Disney2010119.jpg

(Bathing Suits are worn in this picture to protect my DHs reputation!)

He loved the kids play area at the pool!
SSPX0092.jpg

So you know what, I couldn't deny my son his favorite parts of the trip! We are off on a 5 night stay at SSR in a 2bdrm villa!

I thought about trying out OKW or AKL. But ya know what? We all had a great vacation last year and since Baby Bro will be joining us this year and that will be a big change to DSs life I decided to keep SSR and hope we have another great experience! Plus, they have a great new pool area in the Paddock section so we'll have to check it out!

Brady is adorable! SSR looks really nice! It's on my list of places we need to stay! My youngest sister loved our resort (POR) too! In fact, she's told us that "she doesn't want to go back to Disney World unless we stay at Riverside"! Who knew kids were so opinionated about where they sleep? :rotfl:

It's so funny what kids remember and want! It'll be fun hearing what he actually remembers once you're there. I always wonder if my nieces or nephews remember certain things from when they were smaller, and then they'll say something like "Aunt T, remember when we were sitting on that bench at that place and the bug flew up??" and I think "no, absolutely not, I am not even sure where you're talking about... but how do YOU remember??"

A two-bedroom villa is going to be very nice, especially with the new wee one!

Yes, little kids are quite funny with their opinions! Good thing for your parents she didn't fall in love with the GF!

Kids do remember the strangest things! Brady will start telling me these stories and I'll have no idea what he is talking about and the story will end with "remember when we did that mom?"
He's also a tad bit OCD-We got a red Charger for our rental car and he insists we must "go to disney and get in the red car." Everytime he sees a charger he always says that's the kind of car we had in FL!

Why has Brady been waiting to go to WDW for 6 months? Well, you have to be careful about what you tell your kids!

Soon after we got back from our trip last October (like 2 weeks after) Brady started asking to go back to WDW. We told him that we had to wait until Baby Brother arrived before we could go back. Well you better believe that almost as soon as I got home from the hospital Brady was thinking we were hopping on that airplane and going to Disney!
SSPX0218.jpg

So, "after Baby Brother arrived" turned into, "when Baby Brother gets a little bigger", which has now turned into "when the summer's over".

Man, I have to watch what I say to that kid!

Brady is a very good big brother to Riley. When we brought Ry home Brady almost started speaking in this little British accent and said "Hello Fell-la"! I have NO idea where he got that phrase from! I have never said the word 'fella' before!

So that is the reason we have been counting down very patiently for 6 months now! Riley was exactly 6months old yesterday!

Too cute that Brady wanted to go to Disney World right after Riley came home from the hospital! :)

Hahaha, he is TAKING YOU AT YOUR WORD. That is too cute! And calling his little brother fell-la; I bet that's one of the "roll-your-eyes-but-also-melt-your-heart" kind of sayings. I don't have kids, but I have 8 nieces and nephews and come from a fairly big family, so I've been around a ton of kids; I love it when they just come up with something so off the wall!

And that little baby is just adorable. What a pic!

Oh yes, he thought the next stop from the hospital was the airport I'm sure!

Brady calling Riley 'fella' is really too cute. We keep saying we need to record it. I'll have to do that next time the camcorder is charged!

42 days to Goooooo!

Some things we will be doing again and some things we are skipping this trip:

Doing Again:
Renting a car-DH is not a happy camper when it comes to relying on WDW transportation.

Cooking in the villa-We do have some of our favorite ADRs planned, but we will have at least 2 dinners in the villa and we will eat breakfasts there as well.

AK-ok, I confess, I am not an animal lover-or for that matter an AK lover. We haven't been to this park since Brady's 1st visit in 2008. We have PH this trip so I hope to go back and enjoy the Safari and Dinosaur rides. Maybe even go for a spin on Kali RR. I've never been!

Crystal Palace BF-It's always a favorite and I have an ADR before park opening.

Date Night-DH and I have an evening planned at the F&WF! We may also hit up the Velvet Session at the Hard Rock Hotel-depends who the band is.

What We will Skip-
MNSSHP-We've been before on Brady's 1st trip. With the little kids I don't feel we'll be able to get our money's worth this year. Maybe when the boys get older.
All fireworks shows including Fantasmic-DS is deathly afraid of fireworks! One year we got stuck in ToonTown during the fireworks and Brady freaked! We took him on the Barnstormer to try and get his mind off it but he kept his eyes shut the entire time and even 10mins after the fireworks ended. He didn't believe us that it was actually over. Poor kid.

Spa Services at SSR-As much as I would love a massage-I don't think this will fit in our budget or schedule.

Water Parks-we've never been and probably won't until the kids ask to go.

Chef Mickey's-although I do have an ADR I just don't feel like paying the money to eat here and will probably cancel it. We also have an ADR at Garden Grill so Brady will still be able to eat with Mickey.

Next post I'll let you know what we will be trying for the 1st time!

I'm back with my 30 Days to Go Update!

So I've been gathering some random things to pack that will make my life easier in WDW. I've gotten some things from the seasonal aisle at Walgreens-a lightup TS3 wand for $3, an automatic bubble maker, $2.50, a little paddle ball set with the velcro ball for $1.50. I"m thinking these purchases will help me save some $$ in the parks!

I've also had to buy some new clothes for Riley. These purchases really pain me because he will really only wear these clothes for 2 weeks or so. I have managed to buy things at garage sales (a few onesies and shorts sets) for .50 per item and also the sale rack at Carter's where I also had a coupon. That little boy just had a major growth spurt and he just turned 6months. There's no way his 6month or 3-6m baby clothes will still fit in another month!
IMAG0034.jpg

I've gotten some things for myself too!
IMAG0018-1.jpg

These puppies will keep me going in the morning! :thumbsup2 In the summer months I like to have a nice iced coffee in the morning. IMO there's no greater jolt in the am than StarBucks! WooHoo!

I'll update again today with our day 1 itinerary!

30 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!

Day 1-Off We Goooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Well, I did something I usually try not to do-I booked the 1st flight out in the morning-7am! Get an infant, a grumpy 4yr old and a grumpy DH to the airport for a 7am flight :scared1: We'll see how this goes.

So I'm not sure how to handle this-We live 15 mins from my mom and she lives less than 10mins from the airport. We usually drive to pick her up and her DH drives all of us to the airport so we don't have to pay for parking. This year I don't think we'll all fit together with the baby (and the luggage). I'm thinking of maybe getting a taxi transfer for her but still having her DH drive my family (nice aren't I!) since we'll have the carseats and lots of luggage. My DH says we can all squish in the car at 5:30am and it should be no prob. This is still pending a decision!

So with that early (direct) flight we end up arriving at 9:40 at MCO. This is where we split up. My mom is taking Brady on DME and DH, Riley and I are going to pick up the rental car. We are doing this because I don't want to fight with luggage and a rental car. Guess what, I'm going to pack a lot-and have either a double stroller or 2 singles. I'm not trying to shove all that and 5 ppl in a rental car!

Upon arrival at SSR 3 things might happen.
1) We get our room and it's ready and we will go shopping  Either to the Outlets and stop at a grocery store on the way back or directly to Super Walmart or Target.
2) Our room is not ready and we stash our stuff and go to MK.
3) Our room is not ready and we go to the Outlets.

Not sure what the plan will be. I like to try and hit up the Disney Warehouse Outlet. Last year we got some great deals! Plus I like to try to eat off property for lunch. Saves a little bit of $$!

We will eventually make it to EPCOT that evening for an ADR at Garden Grill. This was the one ADR that my momma wanted :goodvibes We've done this once before and I hope we have a wonderful experience again!

That'll be it for Day 1.

Things to still decide:
-Which stroller(s) to bring
-How to get all of us to the airport
-What to do once we get there
-Should I get an Amazon delivery of diapers and baby food?
