Took DD's annual "first day of school" photo this morning. She looked so cute...but more like college than high school junior - in her tropical print knee length cotton shirt and white sleeveless top, all tan and hair all blow-dried pretty. waaaaaah!

No--no jokes. But, I'm here. Just got in from work a bit ago. I am one beat puppy--and I only had one patient today, really. I am training a new nurse and she took 4 of the 5 we had together,so, I didn't do a lot.

Talked to an old friend today, that I hadn't heard from for 5 years. Very bittersweet. Just not sure if it was more bitter or more sweet....

Pay me no mind...I'm just being maudlin tonight, And, well, I guess that phone call brought back lots and lots of memories....some of them were of some of the best times of my life, while others were of some of the most painful times in my life.

Do you believe in a true soul mate--someone you were supposed to be with? That there is one person who is your destiny?? Whether you are with that person or not. You know that person is who makes you complete. A whole instead of a part.

I do. I also know that sometimes, it just doesn't happen, no matter how hard(or how many times) you try. Something keeps getting in the way, no matter how much you may both want it to work. Kinda like the karma is not right in this time period. Or you have to atone for mistakes or sins in a previous time.

That whole thing makes me really wonder about re-incarnation. You know, that you have to keep doing something over and over, until you get it right. And, maybe you won't get it right in this lifetime...maybe you just get a little closer each time. Maybe the next life will find it happening or at least closer to happening. Maybe the life after that is the right time.

Anyway, that's who I talked to today. And I found out that sometimes, even tho someone is far back in our past, you never forget and the feelings are always there, just under the surface....

Howdy Pardners!

Just Milo checking in. We've been here a week now, and have settled into our apartment. Still have a ton of boxes to unpack. We're heading out to Alabama on Saturday to visit DW's folks. And then come back Tuesday, to head out again on Wednesday to visit SSB.

Seeing the kids & grandkids so often has been great, but I still haven't gotten used to being here, and still miss Phoenix terribly.

We haven't even begun looking for jobs yet, but figure we'll do that when we get back from WDW, and will catch up on all the Cheerleader's news.
