That would be another school of thought.... just feed the baby what you're eating (within reason, of course) just cut up small or cooked soft & mashed with a fork....... probably what our grandparents and great grandparents did. Only tried rice cereal so far w/ my babes & have had the same reaction you have. I'm thinking of trying veggies instead, but haven't done it yet. I'm in no real hurry.![]()
That's what I'm looking into. Baby led weaning. It sounds very interesting to me. Plus no $$$ on jars of baby food.
When do you guys stop using special detergent for the LO's clothes??
I've never washed our stuff in the free & clear and he's cuddled with us, laid on our blankets, etc. with no issue so I'm thinking I can probably start washing Lucas' stuff with ours, right?
I washed her stuff the first time with the deft and haven't used it since. It doesn't get the stains out like Tide does. And I use Downy too.

Sometimes he totally wakes up and sometimes he will put himself back to sleep, which he just started doing in the past week or so. He totally wakes up at least 3 times a night and takes a bottle, but he keeps his eyes closed during the feeding. We tried the Enfamil Restfull formula, which is supposed to thicken in the stomach so babies sleep longer, and he still woke up 3 times! If I have to change his diaper when he wakes up he gets sooo angry because he's so hungry! He cannot sleep longer than 3 or 4 hours before waking up, which sometimes means I've only been in the bed an hour or so myself before I'm up feeding him again. He also doesn't nap during the day more than 45 minutes.![]()
I definitely agree with the no talking policy. I think it engages and excites them!
Thanks for the well wishes!
Well, you probably don't want my advice since I still sleep with my 6 month old. We get up anywhere from once a night to 3 times. You're story is one of the reasons I'm terrifyed to move her to the crib. She'll only nap in there for 30-45 minutes most days.
You're only changing his diaper if he poops right? You totally don't need to for anything else. If he has any redness just slather him up with desitin.
Technically sleeping through the night is only one 5 hour stretch. What you're describing is actually pretty normal.
