The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

Happy Halloween!!!

I LOVE the Tigger costume! My sister has decided to be crafty, and insisted on making Katie's costume. It wasn't quite what I had in mind.....I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Patsy, how are you doing?

My life just got harder:upsidedow.....Katie is crawling, quickly, everywhere! And she is climbing! You can't keep her still! I woke up this morning just in time to catch her by one ankle. She had climbed over the body pillow I always put on the other side of the bed, and was about to dive head first into the floor. I'm still trying to get her to sleep in her bed, but she screams bloody murder when I put her in it!

What an adorable little Tigger! My 2 year old was dressed up the same!

I got my first full-night's sleep in over a year last night!!! Luca actually slept 10 straight hours...:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I hope everyone had a nice Halloween!! We had a great night. Until bed time. Then crap hit the fan. My older kids were so sugared up they couldnt sleep.. We spent the weekend with my mom, and Vinny decided he wasnt going to sleep.. All weekend! It probably didnt help that we didnt have a crib for him. We only have one porta crib, and Jasmine got it. I think we made the right choice... Jasmine slept through the night both nights. :thumbsup2

My kiddos were so cute! Alex was a Ninja, Kaylee was Minnie Mouse, Vinny was a dog, and Jazz was a cat. The babies even got some candy. :lmao: One guy even had some baby food!:lmao:

:cool1::cool1: Outstanding!! Im thrilled for you! I started bawling last night because Vinny wouldnt sleep.. I was SO tired. My husband decided that he needed to do something "special" for me. To bad that didnt include taking the babies away. :lmao:

Halloween was fun.

Emma got baptized yesterday. She was the only baby out of five that slept through the whole service. She looked so beautiful.

I am very behind on here lately...I just wanted to say  to Patsy. Sorry about your vacation.

If you or anyone else has any questions about taking a baby so young, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to help out and answer anything. :)

I would so love to take her for Christmas this year, but the family that couldn't make it would never forgive us. Hopefully next year. We've already warned everyone that if DH's schedule works out, we're going.

Zander gave me a BIG scare yesterday (Patsy and Sarah, you may have seen my DH post on fb about it). I had Zander sitting in his Bumbo seat while I swapped out clothes in their closet. He started getting fussy and was leaned back in the chair so I decided he was thorugh with it and went ahead and picked him up. He immediately started gasping for air and making weazing noises and continually got fussier. SO I called the doctor and they told me to call 911. The ambulance came (luckily Madeline was with a friend) and they checked his vitals. By this time he was breathing a whole lot better and his vitals were all good, but they wanted me to go to the hosptial to have him checked out anyway. They checked him out at the hospital and determined that either he had one of those "babies who forget to breath" episodes when they get fussy or that he is coming down with croup. DH was out of town until yesterday afternoon, which I was late picking him up at the airport of course and I had to get my neighbor to get my van and come get us from the hospital. I have a follow up appt. with his doctor tomorrow afternoon. He seems to be just fine today! I guess he just wanted to test my emergency skills!

I hope everything is okay. Does he have croup?

(Lily was Tigger too, lol)

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Lily's poop was CRAZY today. She pooped at least 8 times from 9am to 4pm when I came to work. The last time it was green and mucus-y, so either its my oversupply problem or something I'm eating. So no more dairy for me for a couple weeks at least.

DH and I are arguing about introducing solids. I want to wait until 6 months unless she starts trying to grab off our plates before then. I figure why deal with the added mess for no reason? But everyone thinks I'm crazy.

Hi Everyone...we're home....... long week, crazy 3 kids, but we all survived. Hubby and I are in the process of booking an us only appt before christmas for a long weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you tell we need it?? :lmao:

CJ got his real first haircut at MK, my first one to have his real hair cut there, not a first disney haircut. We went to MNSSHP on my bday and had a ball. My mom was with us and we had a good time. Loved the fireworks and parade. We did the fireworks desert party...it was so so, definately a great spot to watch the fireworks, though.

Brady was a typical 2 year old and I'm exhausted from him. Ty, he has adhd and even with meds can be a handful at times, was being an insigator. I'm shocked he went on sooooo many rides that he never would.

He went on RNR, but of course he had to go on w/me, and I've been on once and hated it....so I went on w/him. He went again w/DH. Then he went on MS both the "less intense" and intense side. All the norms...thundermountain, splash mountain test track, etc. out of these, the only ones he liked and went on more than once before was thunder.

We love teh BWI and loved our room...right above the bakery, but housekeeping was lacking big time!! They didn't clean our balcony once the entire trip. when my mom was with us, they pulled out sofa once and never put coffee table back where it belonged. There was a day or 2 I could tell they didn't wipe down vanity, as that's where I would make baby's formula...

Club level staff was great, great view to watch illuminations from.

We got my bday cake for free!!! go figure, $100 for a custom cake and when he brings out the bill he says he took care of some things and left.....then I look at bill and the cake isn't on there, I wait for him to come back and he took care of it. It was a 10 inch white choc mouse filled w/buttercream frosting. then purple foundat w/gold stamped mickey heads. Ontop was a beautiful flower display, and a white choc solid mickey w/gold bow tie....and they told hubby $100, no problem, my bday.....then it was FREE!!!:banana::banana:

Piglet at CP was soooo good w/CJ have some really cute pics, I'll post a few when i upload them.

Ok....enough blabbing, off to make dinner

We love BWI. The rooms are so cozy and beautiful since they renovated. Stinks to hear that about housekeeping.:sad2:

Katie still isn't that interested in food, and she is almost 6 mos. I fed her some over the last few weeks, nothing consistent though. I don't like the mess, and it makes their poop stinky! I have been sending a jar each day to daycare since last Monday-that way they can deal with the cleanup! They say she eats well there, but doesn't want anything but breastmilk at home. Maybe it is the method she prefers;).

We went to "Trunk or Treat" and a stew at my parents' church Sat, and they were determined to feed my poor starving baby:rolleyes:. She let them know quick that she wasn't interested in carrots from the stew or coconut pie!

Jasmine is driving me NUTS with the food thing. She doesnt want her bottle anymore.. She wants whatever I am having. I was trying to drink my coffee this morning and she SCREAMED at me to give her some! I didnt.. of COURSE! which did not make her happy. She had some scrambled egg yolk and toast this morning.. and gnawed on a hunk of apple when Kaylee and I were eating lunch. I just dont know what to do with her. Vinny is easy. He just wants his bottle. Nothing else.

Emma has started cereal.

She is drooling alot and eating her hand alot...thinking a tooth maybe getting ready in there.

Sounds like a great trip Stacy!! Can't wait to see pics.

Thanks for the food thoughts ladies.

Tomorrow is voting day and my library has a levy up. If it passes, everything goes back to normal (including me having to go back to full time), if it fails, it will be really devestating. All indications are that it'll pass, but it'll be a tense night.

Sorry I got on to take a test so now a ton of time atm but...

Sarah
I planned to introduce solids at 4 months (some online stuff has said carrots are good at 4 months) but! Lucas' pediatrician said the earlier I introduce foods the more likely he is to develop an allergy to something. So we're waiting until we get the thumbs up at 6 months. I figure what is a few more months if he's right and we might inadvertently introduce an allergy?? There are so many allergies out there already I will be doing as much as I can to avoid Lucas developing them.
We got the thumbs up for cereal but will be waiting to introduce baby foods until 6 months.

I plan to make my first batch (carrots!) over Thanksgiving break since Lucas will be 6 months on 12/3!!

I started solids with my two older kids at 4 mos. (because it was recommended then) and waiting until 6 mos. with the younger two. It went much more smoothly with the younger ones than it did with the older ones. I'm going to wait until 6 mos. this time too. Then again, I think a lot of it also depends on the personality of the kiddo and how big their appetite is. My oldest one has always been super-picky, her brother only slightly less; but the younger girls were both born to eat! Clear as mud? Basically, it has worked better for me to wait until the kids are 6 mos., but I reserve the right to change my mind if Alexis is trying to steal food off my plate before that. ;)

We started at 6 months as directed by our pedi. We didn't even do cereal before that even though I felt so bad because Allison used to stare us down when we were eating and actually open her mouth and practice chewing!! It broke my heart.
With that said, she has accepted most foods great! Her first time with cereal she ate it all and seemed to know exactly what she was supposed to do. I have been making all of my baby food since and the only thing that she doesn't like has been bananas and avocado.

Okay.. we made our first dining ressie! Chef Mickeys!! The hours are out for most of our trip.... So I have most everything planned out. I think. This is where we plan on eating..

On our first full day- Chef Mickeys. and we will be doing the Magic Kingdom..
Day two- Animal Kingdom and Ohana for Dinner
Day Three- DHS and 50s Prime Time Cafe for lunch
Day four- Seaworld... and the Luau that night. The 8pm show
Day five- Typhoon Lagoon and DTD that night
Day six- Sleep in day... Cinderellas Royal Table for lunch, and then rest time.. Off to Epcot that night for EMH and Marakesh for a late dinner. 8 or so I think..
Day seven- Disney Quest and Boma for dinner that night. So far Disney Quest will only be my husband and son, I dont want to go, and I REALLY dont want to deal with the babies in there. It will depend on Kaylee if she goes or not. We might just hang at the hotel, or go to the MK or something.
Day eight-nothing in the morning.. then EMHs at MK that night.
Day nine-Epcot in the morning and Biergarten for lunch. Not 100% how that will work. We shall see, I guess.
Day 10- Blizzard Beach.

We also want to fit in an Ohana breakfast.. My dh loves those characters, so I dont know what we are going to do. I was thinking about doing it the morning we fly out.. If we have a later flight. Anyways... What do you guys think? I also want to do the pirate thing at the hotel.. We are staying at the POR. Ill have to check into that some more and see if we can fit it in. If they have it Sunday, that would be perfect.

I am so worried that I am going o be to stressed out to have fun. :headache: My dh is really freaking out about the plane trip.. Between the twins and my mom, I dont know if we are going to be able to stay sane! We have our tickets for going out there, We are flying Southwest. YICK. I hate southwest.. But it is cheap! I am hoping that the seats are only 5 across, that way I wont have to deal with my mom freaking out with the babies. We have one seat for both babies, and my mom seems to think they will both be sitting in it. Ummm... Doesnt work that way! We are taking one car seat, and will be switching the babies in and out. UGH. I HAVE flown with a lap baby before and it BLEW. But I wasnt buying the seats, my mom was.

I sorry for writing a book here.. I just have SO much going on in my brain with this trip. Its six months out, but I feel like it is crunch time! :lmao:

Thanks for the encouragement. I know DH will go with what the ped says at her next appointment. Maybe I should call and make sure he'll say 6 months! lol

Looks like you have a great plan. I think the Ohana breakfast on the last day would be a really nice way to leave the world. :-( Anyone else do that? get sad about leaving way before the trip even starts? lol

How long is your flight? At least you don't have to pay for your bags with SW.

I do! I always get into a major funk about 2 weeks before a trip. I work so hard for everything to be perfect... only to have it go by so quickly! Bums me right out!:lmao:

I think the whole flight, including layover is 10 hours. Im not sure how that takes into account for the time change though. If we take off the three hours, it will still be around seven hours. And YES!!! For not having to pay for luggage! I was sweating that one. I will have 3 car seats, aside from the one on the plane... and clothes for a week and a half for 6 people? YIKES.
