Patsy...my boys kept drinking the same amount when they had solids...still do. But not sure if it's cuz they are so big. I would go thru a huge tub of similc from BJ's weekly, sometimes a little less.

Yes, we love Cleveland, we just want to move to a different subburb with a better school system. Right now Lily would go through the school system that I went through, but we want her to go to the one that DH went to which is in a neighboring city. My district has almost no Art education and with a daddy and grandaddy who are artists, I want her to have access to more that what my district offers. Plus the houses in our current city are all little bungalows and we want something a bit bigger.

Jasmine CRAWLED today!! So crazy... After, what? Two months of Vinny trying to crawl, Jasmine just popped up on her knees and took a few scoots. It was so awesome! Vinny just watched her.. and rolled over onto his back. He is so goofy. I about DIED the other day.. Jasmine has been sitting up on her own for a while, but not Vinny. We figure.. how could the poor kid with a head that big?? ANYWAYS! The other day I finally got him sitting alone. Next to Jasmine. SO CUTE.. right? Not to Jasmine! She reached over and knocked him down! She just grabbed his face and PUSHED! These babies are so funny!

OMG that's too funny. I imagine having twins is a lot like (but not at all like ) having 2 cats from the same litter (like we do). They just have their own language/way of interacting that is just hilarious.

Right after I posted, the woman I went to school with showed up with her dd. This girl is her best "new" friend (she was new at school this year too), so that worked out great. None of the others showed up, including her best friend since preschool. They haven't really been speaking to us since we switched schools. My sil did come with my nieces (7 and 4). They had a good time, but you can tell her feelings are a little hurt. I had bought enough stuff for lots of treat bags, so I stuck it all in the closet.

Katie is now sitting up without propping, and crawling all over the place, so she was good entertainment for the grownups!

It is so neat to watch them interact.. they love to stare at each other.. and grab each others faces. He didnt do much.. Just grunted.

I just got back from the grocery store and got a KILLER deal on formula. I had a coupon for buy one, get one free of Enfamil gentle ease.. I wasnt going to get it, because it only covered $13.80... A little can was $15. Then I was getting ready to check out, and they had the big cans of it clearanced out for $13.50.. So I got 2 BIG cans for !3.50!!!

Holy COW!! Both babies started really crawling this weekend. Vinny is doing an army crawl on his belly.. But he is FAST! Jazzy is full on crawling. The opposite direction, of course.

And I would think that solids would mean fewer bottles, because eventually there was a decrease in nursing once the babies figured out that the food took the place of it.

One would think, huh? Yet I seem to definitely have a Piglet on my hands!!

Patsy, my SIL has a 14 month old at home and I know she was feeding her a BF/bottle just at nap time and bedtime at 10 months and was trying to ween her down to just at bedtime until she was a year old and able to get cows milk. She gave the baby juice and water at other times from a sippy cup. (Is that what you were asking?)

He also goes for his 2 month shots on Tuesday. The doctor mentioned to NOT give him Tylenol beforehand but everyone is telling me to do it. I think I'll bring it along and give it to him right after the appointment. Also my SIL mentioned infant Motrin and that the two can be used together (Tylenol every 4, Motrin every 6). Anyone have any exprience with this? I'm petrified that he's going to be hurting after his shots.

Right now Piglet has a cows milk intolerance (so he has soy formula, stinky!) so I'm not positive yet if we'll be switching to that Stage 2 formula stuff that Similac makes... or maybe if we'll try cows milk... or if we'll proceed with soy milk?
I can't handle milk straight without getting a little sick so I figure he got it from me but I hope he outgrows it.

I know that most other of the others on here have said no to Motrin before 6months but my pediatrician said YES to Motrin.. he actually suggested it over Tylenol.

It basically says that in 2001 Motrin was found to be safe for infants 2months and older.

My babies eat twice a day, but are still taking just as much formula as they were before. From what I remember... It was once we started more table food that they slowed down on the formula. The babies arent really taking much table food yet. I seem to remember that my older kiddos were down to just a little formula on their first birthday. I might have even started milk a couple of weeks before they turned one... Just to get them acclimated.

I looked at the jar and noticed it said a whopping 35 calories.
I figure he'll continue to bankrupt us on his formula habit.

I think I've figured out that he is going to keep eating just as much. I wanted to make sure he could handle carrots and didn't have a reaction to it before I made a batch homemade... and he's been eating a jar in one sitting and following it up with 8oz bottles... so I think it'll just be in addition to formula for us.


Oh, and anyone who is planning on making their own baby food (or cooks carrots for meals, really) I read somewhere to cook the carrots WHOLE and then chop/mash/puree/whatever. Apparently the carrot holds more nutrients if cooked whole.

Our LO has 2 teeth now. It's so weird how he got his teeth right around the same time as my other DS. Did anyone else have kids that did this too?

Lilliana cut her first teeth this weekend, she will be 6 month's on the 28th. My DS4 cut his right before his 6 month mark too. Other than that she doesn't seem to be advance as he was.

I have an '09 Jeep Compass (they've changed the body, according to the salesman, so I can't even go on the websites where people review fit to car & seat) and it's as big as *I* will ever go. Everything I've read is that Britax seats are HUGE!! I'm not sure if it'll fit or not?!

We sure aren't talkative around here lately.

Lily was awesome today. Last night she slept for 8 straight hours. We got up and went grocery shopping. After that she would sleep for an hour, wake up, eat, get her dipey changed, fuss for like 5 minutes and go back to sleep. I got to play 3 hours of my new video game! lol Priorities. When I left her with her daddy she was being SUPER cute, which was good cuz he had a bad day.

Oh, and DH and I talked. We decided that the cosleeping thing is working out so well that we don't see the need to force her into the crib. We're still going to try--especially for naps, but at this point, we don't want to fix what isn't broken. Plus, I've gotten really attached to it! Which is too funny since I hated it in the beginning. I actually sleep better now than I used to and there's nothing like opening your eyes and seeing that tiny little sleeping face. She does this thing where she'll smack her little lips...it's probably one of the things I like the most about this parenting thing so far.

I so glad she slept well for you!! Vinny is a MUCH better sleeper in my bed then he is in his crib. He loves to snuggle up all close to me.... He would sleep on me if he could!

I really like these.. I can rear face them until they are 35 pounds.. I would rather have one that rear faces until they are 40 pounds. I know I had found one, but I dont remember where.
