Annette

If you want to go horseback riding it's not avaliable at Wilderness lodge But...
While staying at Wilderness Lodge many guest enjoy
Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground
following are fun activities, and resturants, located just a quick boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge.

Horseback Riding:
Take a guided trail ride through the woods at the Resort & Campground. $32.00 at the livery (must be 9+yrs.,48"+)

Reservations can be made by calling 407-824-2832 (reservations must be made in advance, up to two weeks ahead of time, and can be cancelled without penalty up to 24 hours in advance). The trail ride is $32 (includes tax) per person. The Tri-Circle D Livery at Fort Wilderness offers guided trail rides six times a day at 8:30 am, 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm, and 4:00 pm. You will be instructed to arrive 30 minutes ahead of time and it was suggested that we wear long pants and close-toed/heeled shoes.

You should check in at the kennel, near the front of the Ft. Wilderness resort. If you arrive by car, just park in the visitor parking lot (free to guests staying at Disney resort, $5 for all others). If you arrive by bus, get off at the Ft. Wilderness Depot stop. If you arrive by boat, walk to the Settlement Depot bus stop, board an internal bus, and get off at the Ft. Wilderness Depot stop.

The above information is located on: Deb's Web Site,Allearsnet

Have a great time.

Does anyone know if the scheduled rehab for WL will include the VP or Presidential Suites on the 7th floor. I think they could use a little updating.

Floridafam

Yes, the rehab does include the suites and the rehab will start on the 7th floor, starting in January 2006.

Hi everyone,

I have been more of a "lurker" than someone who posts on these boards, but after our visit to the WL, I thought I would let everyone know how it went.

We were on the 6th floor (smoking optional, my DH and I both smoke), in room 6016, had bunk beds and even though it was not close to the elevator, could still see the castle (through a gap in the trees that was just perfect) and Wishes every night.

We had an amazing Mousekeeper, who every day posed the stuffed animals (the cutest was when she put my daughters minnie mouse overlooking the top bunk rail with a sheet tied down to the bottom rail where my son's mickey mouse looked like he was ready to climb up, like romeo and juliet), she did towel animals every day also, and made our stay that much special.

We had a fabulous dinner the first night at Whispering Canyon which the kids loved.

Every CM we had there was great and seemed to go out of their way to help in any way whatsoever.

Since this was our first time there, we were obviously sprinkled with lots of pixie dust since I cannot say one bad thing about it!

Hope everyone else who stays there has a great trip!

You all gave me great info last year before my trip on room requests but I simply can't remember what I requested. I know we didn't receive it BUT did receive a comp upgrade to bear face inner courtyard view :cool1:

We are getting ready for our next trip which we will be splitting with AKL. We will be moving to WL on a Monday so hopefully this won't hurt our good view room chances.

Anyways I was thinking of requesting the following as we have booked a woods view room (great AP rate). What do you think?

Nonsmoking, upper floor, north side

I am also going to mention that we are celebrating my DM birthday and my grad and hope that helps with the room selection. You never know. We will be happy to just be there but a great view would be wonderful!

This is our first time at the lodge and i can't wait.
Thank you for all your help.
Question We have a woodsview I requested the view of otter pond/will that have
a Magic Kingdom view?
We are on a Grand Gathering i hope they hook us up.

Yes, it is usually around 3, but this last trip it was almost 4 before our room was ready.....I would think 4:30 would be a safe time....in all my trips to WDW, this was the first time our room wasn't ready be 3 - never stayed at WL before, so don't know if that is common there, but isn't at the other places we have stayed.....we were so anxious to check in....had driven over 18 hours then went to the parks to play for several hours, so at 3, we were ready for showers, naps, pool, something...that extra hour was tough :hourglass ...but the resort was awesome, so we quickly got over it.

Just popping in to say that this thread has helped so much in planning our trip which is ....... 11 days away!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks to all! I will pat Humphrey's nose.

Hi all. I remember reading that refrigerators were going to be installed in all rooms at the WL along with all other deluxe hotels. Does anyone know if this was ever completed? Thanks.

We had to ask to have them delivered in both the WL and Poly last month....no problem, no charge, it just wasn't there when we checked in.

How big are the refrigerators?

They are small...."dorm size" is how I would refer to them (the kind kids used to buy rent for their dorm room at college)....Don't know the dimensions, but they are "square" - not really much if any freezer space.

Thanks, just wondering about a gallon of milk. We are big milk drinkers, we would bring a cow, but I think that would be frowned upon. :teeth:

Thanks!

Don't think that would be an issue......the cow would be fun though, don't you think? :rotfl:
