thanks for the info on the fridge, I will definitely ask at check in!

Also should I call to request any certain type room? We are booked in a WV, my ressie doesn't mention anything about Non smoking although I am pretty positive I would have requested that. I would love to see MK from our room....wishful thinking~
Just make sure that you request to have a view of the Magic Kingdom if possible. Keep in mind you have to go high for this to be a clear view. Ask for the 5th or 6th floor. Also note that the 6th floor north wing which has the MK view is the smoking floor.

Probably because the new system reset all of the cookies you used for logging on to the DIS. :) What do YOU think of the new boards?

Oh, thank you for the response, Majestic!
What kind of views do we have to choose from on the concierge floor?
We have stayed at alot of other Disney concierges, but not WL.
We are so excited to finally get to stay there PLUS we were able to get that last minute discount for our conc room!
Our last stay was at the Polynesian LVC and it was OK, nice lounge, but the staf was not as helpful as others.

Expect to be pampered and enjoy all that the Lodge has to offer! I've said it before and here I say it again....the concierge staff on the 7th floor are like no other that I have seen or experienced at Disney World. They will take good care of you.

My advice? Don't be afraid to ask for something. You may be surprised at how much they can and will do for you. Remember, concierge is not just about the food they put out all day long. :)

As for the room, what kind of view would you prefer? They're all pretty good it just depends on your preference.

I will be staying at WL for the first time in Feb. WE have a woods view booked. Where should I request?

I know to ask for a refrig at check-in, as well as a coffee pot. CanI also request bunk beds or is that only in deluxe rooms?

We have been to WDW many times and my daughters are 16 and 12 what special things should be see/do at the hotel. Hubby is not the Disney fanatic I am -- he goes because he loves me. He hates crowds and loves the outdoors what special thing can be do?

Hi Rneighh

With a Woods View I would request North Wing overlooking the otter-pond on the 5th floor, not only would you have a view of the woods and the otter pond but with any luck you will have a view of the Castle over at the Magic Kingdom with a possable view of the fireworks.

On the first page of this thread there is information on many fun things for guest to do while staying at the lodge please see the first three or four post as so much information has been gathered for new guest.

....I'm not sure that I like it yet! I guess, like all things, I gotta get used to it.

....campinggal is doin' the 'Single-digit Dance'!!

to see how many days left til I'm at the WL

LOL - I'm torn between wanting the time to fly by so I can be in the Lodge
and not being at all ready for Christmas which comes first

Is there or isn't there now a direct bus from the Lodge to MK. I thought they started one in November but the last post I read was confusing. We are going in two weeks and would like to know the right story. it may make a difference whether I rent scooters in the parks or from a private company. Sometimes the boat dock is higher than others due to water levels. thanks guys....... I am soooooooo excited to finally get there.

LOL...well...I'm in sales and Disney is one of my accounts so I travel up (from South Florida) quite a bit to make sure things are running smoothly.

Also, I have meetings in the Orlando area often and I always try to stay on Disney Property...sometimes you never know what kind of hotel you may end up with in Orlando...I've ended up in quite a few places that aren't exactly "up to standards" (maybe mine are a bit higher than others...Disney has spoiled me)...For me it is worth it to stay on property even though it may be a bit farther out of the way because I know exactly the kind of quality and room I am getting. The money is usually the same by the time I factor in Florida resident/AP discounts...Despite the fact that Disney is a little farther away or a little more inconvenient, I'd rather stay on property and know what I am getting than end up disappointed someplace else...

I don't go into the parks everytime I am in town...depends on whether or not I have meetings, or plans or what-have-you.

Of course I try to go as often as I can...lol
