DOES ANYONE KNOW if that huge, annoying floodlight with the extremely noisy generator is still by the pool?? We really felt last trip this cut down on the tranquil setting of the courtyard in the evening.

THANKS! :wizard:

Please try and take some pictures of the new seating area in Roaring Forks during your trips. I still don't think anyone posted any.

I sure will, I spoke with DizneyKid a few days ago, she said that basically they have added more seating by rearranging the table placements.

We requested North side woods view, upper floor. If 5 is still out of commission, which would be best for balcony view of MK fireworks?
Is 6 very smoky for Non smoking lovers? Rooms and hallways? worth it for view of fireworks with DS4 who loves balcony view?
Are there any bunk bed rooms with fireworks view?
It's hard to say, the 6th floor woods view in the smoking section may not be bad at all as the rooms have just been completed. If you or anyone in your group is sensitive to smoke I would just request 4th floor. I'm thinking they may have the 5th floor North Wing done soon so you may just get lucky. The bunk beds? I'm sure there are just haven't received any reports yet. You need to report back after your visit so we'll know how it went.

:confused3 Not sure I'll let you know when I return

Just wanted to say I love this thread!!!!

We just made our December WL reservations! I can't wait!!! We have stayed a couple of other times at WL and WLV, but haven't stayed at Christmas time since our honeymoon in 1995.

Have to say I'll be a little nostalgic for the "old" decor, but look forward to a whole new look.

Thanks for all who post info. I've stayed several times and still learn new things from you guys!!!

While I'm one that kind of likes the new renovations (I actually don't think I could dislike anything about the WL :confused3 :) ) I am thinking, it looks like there is less drawer space than prior to the renovations. With a family of four..this is kind of a bummer, as I hate to leave things in suitcases. Oh, I am so jealous of everyone who is leaving this next week or so! Pictures..pictures..pictures people! :goodvibes

I feel the same way about the drawer space. I noticed the fridge took away some of the space. That's where I kept my boys clothes. I too hate living out of a suitcase. Everything has to be I a place before my vacation can begin. Last time I kept snack hidden in the amoire. I guess that out too. I too can't wait but we still have something to look forwar too!

The Blue Flag Resort Boats schedule are 7:00am-10:00pm so you maybe able to make it. The Internal bus from Ft. Wilderness to Wilderness Lodge is also available much later, you can catch the direct bus at Settlement Depot just a short walk from Pioneer Hall.(The bus trip takes 3 minutes if that)

Can the WL Vets please restore my faith in the cast members on the Concierge level. Our stay runs 11-26 to 12-3 and I feel like I keep getting the run around from the planning staff. They have the wrong party size listed for us which caused us to miss out on any reservations for Cindy's for breakfast. I have sent my kids ages down 3 times and they seem to keep losing them. I was told once that they could not make reservations for the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, I would need to call myself then the next time that I email about something else they said they would make these reservations. They also keep losing my credit card number, which was needed for some other reservations. I emailed them my request list right after we booked knowing that although the dining and activities could not be booked until the 90 or 180 day mark they would have them on file. Today when we finally hit 180 days they tell me that one of the activities does not run on the day I had requested so I would have to pick a different day. If these requests were in the file why could they not have told me this before. Now I have to replan everything. I was really looking forward to the advance planning help but I am thinking that so far they have not been to much of a help. Please tell me I wasn't wrong to stay Concierge and things will get better. I'm not sure when we will be able to take the kids back to Disney and I really wanted to make this a magical trip but right now I am just disappointed with it all.

Thanks Beckie. I know I'm like a broken record with this request...but I really would love to see how they fit more tables in there.

For me and my family roaring forks ends up being pretty important because we do eat breakfeast there everyday. We are early risers so we usually don't have problems with the lines that can sometimes form there or with getting a table.

I feel bad though for families...especially those with preschool kids that show up a little later and have trouble getting a table. I was really hoping they were going to make the seating area larger somehow.

I haven't seen it but as I recall the tables used to be set up in rows in straight lines. If they stagger those lines they ought to have been able to get more tables in the same space.

I'm with you all on the feeling there looks to be less drawer space than before. I've been thinking -- maybe we should just pack a whole bunch of extra hangers, plastic ones of course, (there's only a couple in the closet) and hang up as much as we can. DH and I are always looking to hang up clothing we could also just hang up everyone's shirts/tops. This would probably work out better anyway.

We stayed in room 5004 last year, woods view, but we could see some of Bay Lake, and some fireworks from MK as well. It wasn't a great view because of the trees, but I can imagine that just above us on the 6th floor would see them quite nicely.

I feel the same way and I've been thinking. We never have enough hangers to hang up what we want to (yes, i know we could call housekeeping and request more hangers). What about packing a bunch of plastic hangers and hang up most shirts/tops especially for the adults or teens. That would give everyone plenty of drawer space and utilize the closet space more. I think I may add plastic hangers to my packing list.

What do you all think??

My DH and I were discussing this very thing..and we also thought..take more hangers.

We just got back from our trip & had our first trip to WL! :) My husband absolutely went ga-ga over it all. :D The decor & theming was just wonderfully done!!! We stayed on the 1st floor, just barely within sight of Hidden Springs Pool. The room was in great shape, the cast members very friendly, and he's already talking about wanting to go again. The biggest deterrent was the long wait time for a bus to get to EPCOT or MGM.
