WILDERNESS LODGE ROOM RENOVATIONS
I read on another board about a guest who just returned from the WL and stayed on the 6th floor. The room was renovated with new furniture, bedspreads and a flat screen TV. No other details were given.
Anyone the exact details of WL room renovations or better yet, pictures?????
THANKS!!

By the way - we were able to see Wishes Fireworks from the WL boat dock each night we were there last June!
Hi CuteAs Minnie - I stayed in the renovated room last week, No. 6047. We had two queen beds. The headboards were lether on the bottom and on the top was a carved scene, deers, mountains, etc. At the top of the bed posts were beautiful carved animals, rabbits, sorry can't remember what other ones. The comforters were nice in blues, browns, reds, dark colors but not to dark. Hidden mickeys were all over them in the flowers. As I stated on the other thread, I took pictures and will ask DD to post them tonight.
The carpeting was a light brown, but had a raised pattern, leaves and such I think.
The entry way and bedroom part are painted a cream color, with a very simple boarder across the top.
The vanity area was black marble. The walls in the vanity and area and bathroom is wallpapered with different leaves, raised slightly, and also in the cream color theme. I kept thinking someone did a great job painting but DH pointed out a bubble, confirming that it was wallpaper. The shower curtains had the new smell.
The burears (sic) were dark brown with the trim a hunter green. The refrigerator is beneath a door under the bureau in the entryway. The TV is part of the Burear (sic) in the bedroom area. DH aboslutely loved it. As on the previous post, I think it was High definition and very long.
The chairs on the balcony are now a mesh type material, no longer plastic.
I loved staying in the new room. The hallways still have that faint frest paint smell. There is new carpeting, and again hidden mickeys all through it, but not really hidden. The bottom the the halls walls is a new pattern too and is also loaded with hidden mickeys.
As I had never stayed at the WL it is hard too tell people what changes had taken place, but it is quite lovely. When we would sit out on the balcony we could see that the other building across the courtyard rooms were being redone. They worked on them 24 hours a day. I know this because I have trouble sleeping and would sometimes sit out at 12 a.m. or 2 a.m. as not to bother DH's sleep and I would watch them working. As of Thursday night, we left on Friday, they were putting the sheets and comforters on the beds. I have no doubt those rooms were going to be available Friday or Saturday for new guests.
If you have any questions, just let me know I will try to answer them.
