I got 2 of these. Once when we stayed at the CBR and one when we stayed at CSR. Anything we get from Disney gets you excited about your upcoming trip, especially if it's personalized. They are really nice and are personalized. I saved them and put them in my scrapbooks. Enjoy. :cloud9:

We got one when we stayed at Pop a few weeks ago. It is a really nice touch!!

WL Vets - I need some help :goodvibes

I just managed to nab an AP rate for a courtyard view for Dec :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

So can anyone help with a room request??????

On our first visit to the WL several years ago we were upgraded to a "bear faced room" and it was fantastic :cool1:

What should I put on my ressies this time :confused3

I was thinking.....

Facing Bay Lake, upper floor, close to lobby.

Is that too much? Anyone have a better idea???????

I would request, facing bay lake, main building. But that's me.

Yes, the pools are heated. We are in DE, too, and we went in late November last year. It was a tad chilly at night, which is when our DS5 LOVES to swim, but we did it anyway! We are in Newark, De...where are you? DE is so small, I love to find other Delawarians on this board!

Someone else here is from Delaware??! Neat! We live in North Wilmington, and I work in downtown Wilm. My dh teaches at St. Mark's. I'm glad the pools are heated-- my dd (who wil be 4 when we go) is an early riser, so I know she will want to hit the pools before the parks open.

I think it all depends on what you want. If you want to see the fireworks at all, request North wing upper floor woods view. If you want to have a landscaped view, I'd request North or South wing inner courtyard view which also gives you a nice view of bay lake.

I found that a nice quiet view is the south wing villas pool (quiet pool) view. This is also a courtyard view so be careful when requesting. It's very quiet especially on the higher floors if you like to relax and spend time on the balcony.

Lastly, some people would prefer to have a room the opens out to the lobby. Most of those are woods/parking lot views but it gives you a nice balcony to relax on and the door to your room opens right out to the lobby so you get a great view either way. :)

Hope this helps. If not, the webshots photo gallery uin my signature also has some balcony views with room numbers so you can see what your view would be from different room numbers.

WOO HOO!  Just paid off the trip.....45 days to go.

Can you tell I'm excited!
Yay!!!! Congrats! I'm almost at the 100 day mark! Just a little over 3 months to go!
WOOHOO!! :cool1:

We will be there Sunday, I'm so excited.

Only 2 more days of work til the vacation starts.

Have fun! 2 more days of work, but we all know where your mind REALLY is! :bday: , too! There is no better place on earth to celebrate than at WDW!!!! Enjoy!

How is this for a room request - lobby room, inner courtyard.

We're hoping for bear face, but would be happy with anything very close to the lobby or (lastly) on the upper courtyard in the north wing. How should I word our request?

That's Sooo cool! I've never gotten anything like that before! Are you staying CL level? Did you book directly through Disney or with another TA?

I would love to get one of those. The kids would love the treasure map!:thumbsup2

We booked directly through CRO and we are not staying CL Level!

Can someone please tell me what a "bear faced room" is. I have been to WL several times but I have never heard of this.

If you look at the lodge from the lake, the two dormers on the roof represent the eyes and the large "dormer" shaped roof in the middle is the nose. It is easier to see closer to dusk when the lights are visible. When you use a little imagination, it looks just like the face of a bear.

There are very few rooms that are considered part of the "bear face".

If you look straight at the lodge from the end of the pool (by the gyser) the rooms that are straight ahead look like a "bear's face". You can see the points that look like eyes, ect.

Take a look at the 1st picture on the very 1st page of the thread. The loby area is what I'm referring to. Hope that helps.

To all of you WL vets, I just booked what will be our 2nd stay at WL. (Feb 2-10) We LOVED it the first time, but had one complaint: the sound of toilets flushing all night long. Does anyone know if there any rooms/floors to request where this isn't as noticable? We were on the 3rd floor with a woods view. This time we will be in woods view with bunk beds (DD7 and DS5's wish). Does anyone know what floors bunk bed rooms are located on? Any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks! jen

Bathrooms are back-to-back, so closing your own bathroom door will greatly minimize any noise from the bathroom next door.

Awww...Yes...The turbo flush toilets....LOL..It wouldnt be a Disney resort without them. ..I havent found one that didnt have TFTs...:laughing:Now I know WL has them also...
ear plugs?:confused3
The time it bothers me is around 5:30-6AM...but I would be getting up in another hr. anyway..;)

I got a really cool mailer today waiting for me when I came home, from "jean" of the WL! I thought it was really nice of the WL (and disney) to do this to get you excited! (as if i wasn't already) has anyone ever seen this? It's the first time I have!

I just got one of these today..only 12 days till we're there!! :woohoo:

We had room 6157 which was an inner courtyard view, pretty far out towards the pool and geyser. It had bunks and a queen. The balcony was walled in which was fine for all. We saw the Pirate/Princess fireworks 2x; they were higher in the sky than the Wishes show, but we could see most of Wishes too. We could see the EWP nightly at 9:35 too. This was the first time ever I asked to switch my room in any hotel...but...we paid for a courtyard view and they initially put us in a lower floor room viewing the pathway to the villa pool on the opposite side of the main courtyard. They said that was also considered a courtyard view, but I think it is a pretty thin argument.:confused3 I was completely sweet and pleasant about my question about my view with the initial room, but the staff was rather short and seemed to be ready for a fight. I held my ground sweetly and they said reluctantly I could have 6157, but tried to talk us out of it because of the walled balcony! Maybe a lot of people complain about those types of balcony but not me! Now that I think about all my room assignments in all my disney stays, it seems that I am always given a less desirable room...at the end of a hallway even though I've paid for a good view, or with a standard view I get a trash compactor view! Do they do this intentionally because they know certain guests will always complain about their assignment and they need to save good rooms for the grouches!? Maybe I need to speak up more because this was the BEST room and best view I've every had and the WL is a new favorite for our family.:goodvibes Our housekeeper, Nancy, was great too and gave my daughter towel animals daily. We ate at WCC (breakfast really good!) and Artist Point (best meal of our trip!) Boat to/from MK was speedy and pleasant. Bus service everywhere else was terrific, although a little slow to AK.
Boy was it hot and crowded in WDW last week! No afternoon Tstorms at all!
Wish I was still there!:sad2:
Thanks for your help on this thread!:cheer2:
