Look for my LGMH on the door Nov 28-Dec 4! Hopefully we will run into each other- it will just be me and DBF

Swung by HD today and they were fully stocked with LGMH (at least 50+) so I'm guessing there aren't many of us in my area. I'm prepared now. :teeth:

How do you get one of the bouncing Icky heads with the Santa hat? I think people are calling it being frosted.

Gotta question!

I was looking at WL pictures on another Disney site tonight (I'd post the link, but it's one of those that shows up as *'s here, unfortunately). There were some taken from the roof of the WL, including signs labeling the "observation service stairwell"

Is this only accessable if you are the flag family, or is it possible to go up there any time?

Thanks!

I just put the deposit down for our WL July 2007 stay...I booked a bunk bed woods view and we can't wait...my question is 1) do all rooms have balconies? I've read that they are enclosed; are they all enclosed? What's the point of the enclosed balcony. Thanks.

I think that by "enclosed" balconies, they mean the ones where the lower portion is solid wood, rather than bars you can see through.

I understand what the enclosed balcony means....I was wondering if all their balconies are enclosed?

I believe it's only the Club Level (concierge) that has enclosed balconies. Anyone, correct me if I'm wrong.

Hello to all the WL lovers!

Just wanted to pop in after reading almost every page of the 4th and 5th WL FAQ Threads. I just booked a surprise trip to DW for my kids. We (my DD 12, DS 10 and my BestFriend) will be staying for the first time at WL!!!

I booked a woods view bunk bed. I asked for a high floor. I also said to the CM when booking, "I know you can't guarantee a BB room, but if you could note the ages of my children, and the fact that they are brother and sister" And she said, no problem, we can guarantee that for you! :thumbsup2

I was thinking about upgrading to a deluxe, but my understanding is the deluxes do not have the BB option, correct? I am a little nervous about us sharing a small space, as our previous vacation was spent in a 2 bedroom condo.

But I have decided just to relax about that, and go with the flow. I'm hoping we will all be so exhausted that we'll just fall asleep while watching tv at night.

Anyway...keep up the posts here, it's making my countdown much more bearable, especially since I can't talk to the kids about it! :hourglass

Oh, and we are going in June 07!!

The Wilderness Lodge is a Deluxe Resort, just not on the Monorail.

I actually meant a "deluxe roon" within WL. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hi everyone,
I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how much internet is each day. :goodvibes

Broadband internet via ethernet cable in the room is $9.99 daily for 24 contiguous hours from first signing on. It must be renewed after each 24 hr period. The ethernet cable is in the closet.

No - Sixth Floor rooms in the lower portion (the wings closer to Bay Lake as opposed the the Lobby area of the Lodge) have enclosed balconies.

Concierge only takes up the wings nearer to the Lobby simply because the 7th floor doesn't extend right to Bay Lake... if you look at a picture of the Lodge, the roof steps down half-way along both sides. So yes, all of the seventh floor normal rooms, plus a lot of the sixth floor rooms have enclosed balconies.

What is the point of them?.... I don't think there is a point per se... it's just the architecture - the rooms are in the "attic" area so they are in the roof, and the roof extends beyond the floor of the balcony, so the balcony inevitably is enclosed.

As above, plus .. yes, all rooms have balconies. Enjoy. It's a fantastic place.

Alrighty guys, I'm leaving Sunday morning... :wave2: Gonna spend the night in Savannah and we'll be arriving at the WL Monday during lunch. Is there ANYTHING I need to know? I haven't been browsing this thread much lately. I know the buses to the MK aren't running and everyone is either driving themselves or using the boats. How's that workin' out anyway as far as crowded boats go? Is there anything else I need to know? For those who don't remember....it's our 1st time! :yay:

BTW, did anyone catch my question earlier about what info can be found in the rooms? It's not crucial to know before I leave. Just would help to know ahead of time. Thanks!

I hate to show how computer-stupid I am  but......As long as you have the ethernet cable connector thing on your laptop, you can access the internet at the WL. Right? I just want to make sure, before packing the laptop, that there aren't gonna be any compatibility issues. Thanks!

Not as far as I'm aware - I brought my laptop from Scotland and there wasn't a problem.

Planning a July 2007 trip with DH and DTwins (boy/girl) aged 17, and want very much to stay at WL - it is beautiful. Fell in love with it during last visit to FW cabins and knew it was where we would stay next. Question: Are the bunk beds large enough for 17 year olds to sleep in? Are they the same ones that are in the cabins at FW? Just trying to decide if I shud request a BB room or just a standard room and sleep with the daughter while DH and DS sleep together. My non-Disney loving husband may protest at this solution
p.s. - I'm new and this site is absolutely wonderful!
