You will have plenty of info in the room plus they give you lots of stuff at checkin. Don't be afraid to ask for things when you checkin.

What info do they keep in the room as far as maps/locations, restaurants (menus/hours), phone numbers, etc.? I was wondering how much WDW resort info I would have in my room 'cause we won't have a computer to access the Internet. Is it all just about the WL or do they provide info on the other resorts too in the room?

When you check in, ask to be Flag Family one morning. It's a great ceremony and affords you the absolute best view of the lodge and surrounding areas.

See the pictures in my signature for more.

I don't believe they let you up there unless you are flag family.

Gotta question!

I was looking at WL pictures on another Disney site tonight (I'd post the link, but it's one of those that shows up as *'s here, unfortunately). There were some taken from the roof of the WL, including signs labeling the "observation service stairwell"

Is this only accessable if you are the flag family, or is it possible to go up there any time?

Thanks!

Yum! Skillets for breakfast and Pulled Pork for lunch!

Can't beat the buffalo at Artist Point if your a steak eater!

Getting hungry writing this!!!

Oh yeah, I'll be down 12/6 to 12/17 staying at AKL (got a really good rate and WL had limited availability for the length of our stay.)

Attending MouseFest and will have a table at the Mega Mouse Meet on the 9th.

Hi, I will be arriving on 12/9, can someone let me know how the food at Whispering Canyon is? I have heard mixed reviews. Not sure if I could get an ADR at this point, but would like to try. thanks :thumbsup2

I haven't stayed in a Honeymoon suite but I've toured it and taken lots of pics. See the link in my signature for lots of pics. :)

It has all you expect but it also has raised ceilings so the room seems much larger. Very close access to the club level staff desk and the old faithfull club for morning eats and night treats!!

The balcony is nice but alas the only down side is the view of the roof. You can't have a lake view from any of the 4 honeymoon suites.

Hope this helps.

Also has anyone stayed in the Honeymoon Suite? I am understanding what i am reading correctly and that is does not have a balcony? Do you think it is worth the extra money? You get a jacuzzi tub and king size bed though right?

Sorry I ask so many questions but this is a very important decision.

Only 5 1/2 days before WL!!! WOOO HOOO! I'm not ready, I'm really not ready, but still wish we were just there already! :teeth:

I saw a rumor that the direct bus from WL to the MK is back up and running....anyone know if there's any truth to that?

Thanks!

Have a safe and great trip, TiggerAllie.

Jeez, my psychology comments really threw cold water on the hot AKL thread :lmao:

I heard the bus was running too, guess i will find out Monday, only have 2 more days left. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm back and just to let everyone know that the bus is up and running at WL to MK. I just got home so I just wanted everyone know. I found the transportion very good no complaints at all. Had a wonderful time. Will do a trip report as soon as I get myself together. Every place I ate I had very little issues. Just one thing if you are splitting resorts they do not promise that your bags at the new resort until 3PM. I rann into this when I transferred from POP to WL. Bags where picked up a 6AM and I did not get them until after 3PM and this is what I was told by bell captain. Not a big issue but it would have been nice if they would have told me that at POP.

Cool! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the bus update!

Since I've never personally taken the direct WL to MK bus, I can't state from personal experience that it's faster than the boat (when we were there 2 yrs ago it was before the direct bus), but based on several postings I've read I believe it is.

I agree. Bus is faster. Have a wonderful time December vacationers!!

I think it is a draw. You need to know that the bus is shared with FW and GF at times. I preferred the boat myself. I just loved the ride. One morning I had breakfast at CR and then just took the monorail. Must add the Breakfast at CR was so YUMMIEEE. Had French Toast covered with Maganamina nuts and banana carmal sauce. Not sweet at all and mine was made sugarfree. Have to say this beat Tonga Toast never thought anyone could beat that.

How about a little holiday WL photo! The WL is a great place to visit all year but extra special at the holidays!

Beautiful!
Thanks for posting these! We'll be there in 24 days! :Pinkbounc

Now that WDW has announced that they will be outsourcing valet and bell services, does anyone know where the wonderful valets (like Bill) and bellmen will be going within the organization? They were suppose to be offered comparable positions.

My family will really miss these guys! It is great seeing the same faces on ever trip.

Since we are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO close thought I'd bump up the Mini-DIS meet if anyone is interested.
5 nights and counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cloud9: :woohoo:

Hey, you all are meeting on my Birthday so have an extra one for me. pirate:

WOW! We just got back last night. We absolutely  the WL. We went to CR, Poly, GF and POFQ and nothing came close. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The only drawback....no monorail service here. Maybe one day.... It doesn't hurt to hope. We were totally prepared for this trip (our 1st). The DISboards and TGM are all you need for a successful WDW vacation. I have the UG and PP but only consulted them for brief descriptions/info. For planning, stick with the DISboards and TGM and you won't be disappointed.

For those of you who have stayed on the (7th floor) Club Level, what was your experience? Do you recommend it to others or not? We're considering it for our next trip in October. What appeals to us is the food/liquor. The planning department wouldn't be utilized much I don't think. I kinda liked doing it myself for the trip we just took. So, what's your opinion of CL and what was the view from your room? I just cancelled a reservation for POFQ for October. I need to decide between CL, Courtyard or Woods View. Heck, I don't even know if all of these options are still available for October. I need to get a move on!

OH! We got Dream Fastpasses at the Jungle Cruise last Friday (12-01-06)! pixiedust: I even took a picture of it!
