There is a downloadable (is that a word?!) WL soundtrack?! I've been playing the Disney Parks soundtrack for my step kids since last August!! My four year old step son now walks around the house singing the song from Carousel of Progress!!! If I could get him humming WL music that would be GREAT!!

(I sort of had to Disney brainwash them b/c there was a lot of "Is this ride scary? Is THAT ride scary?" going on. My step daughter can talk herself out of anything...little timid that one... So I've played the parks soundtrack for them when they go to sleep, in the car, in the play room...so when we go to Disneyworld in August the music will be familiar and comforting...hope it works!! )

I can't WAIT for our trip...I wish it was closer...

having never stayed at WL, I have no idea what room location to request. We booked a woods view but would liketo have a view of the fireworks if possible. My parents are going with us, we requested connecting rooms, does anyone kow of it's possible to get firework views with connecting woods view rooms?

We are not going till December, when do we make the final request for room loacation?

I love this music. I have it on my computer at work.

But as of January 1st, this music is no longer played at the Wilderness Lodge. A whole new soundtrack has been created. Some of the cast members are trying to get all the new tracks so they can get a list together. The new music is still fantastic, although I wish it would be a little louder.

The soundtrack that used to be at the Lodge is now playing at Ft. Wilderness. We heard it when we had breakfast at Trails End.

Anyone have any news/pics of the progress on the pool?

I have some my husband took only a few days ago. We just got a chance to download them into the computer. I will try and post them tonight.

It really isn't bad at all, though. Disney has a way of camouflaging work being done. They even covered up the pipes that were exposed to look like grass!

The villa's pool wasn't too crowded, and they had the hot tubs and the kiddie pool opened when we were there last week.

Oh and Trout Pass was opened the whole time. They do have the one window which faces the lodge closed, so it can be a little deceiving. The two sides are opened. We had to walk down there and to our delight it was opened.

The pool is well underway for refurbishment. They are remarcasiting (sp?) and redoing all the tile and rocks around it. The Villas pool and the kiddie and hot tubs were open. The geyser is also being worked on. Redoing all the inner workings. CM wasn't sure when it will be completed though.

Well, that's about it.

According to ALLearsnet, they were re-doing the kiddie pool and main pool's hot tub as well. Is this true? If so, have those already been closed? I don't care about the kiddie pool, I just want the hot tub!! With only one hot tub open (at the villas pool), I would think relaxing would be tough. I booked this before I knew about pool rehab, and nobody mentioned it at time of booking. Now, there are NO AP rates available at any values or mods, I don't really like AKL at all, and the true deluxes are just too expensive.

ANyone know about the hottub rehab?

Both hot tubs were opened when we were there. It didn't look like they were refurbished yet.

They might be waiting until it gets closer to them finishing up the pool before they start.

By the way, the geyser was also not working when we were there. They are doing some rehab on that also. It did go off one afternoon while they were testing it, so hopefully it will be done soon.

It was funny when it went off, though. People from all over came out of the wood work to see it go off. As many times as I have been to the Lodge, to me it is still a neat experience.

Thanks for the info! With my luck, the hot tub will be refurbed while I am there. WL is my very favorite resort, but I am truly stretching the budget to stay there even with the AP rate, since it is peak season. It is a child-free trip, just Dsis and myself, and I will FINALLY be able to use a hot tub to relax (childfree!!) We are only there for 2 nights.

If for some reason the two hot tubs located next to the Silver Creek Springs Pool are being refurbished during your stay, don't worry there is an additional hot tub located at the Villas, Hidden Springs Pool. It's secluded so most guest don't notice it, we usually have it all to ourself. Enjoy and have a Magical trip.

I feel stupid for asking this. How do you use the counters everytime you post? I went to Ticker Factory, cut and pasted I think bb which went well but now I can't figure how you use this evertime you post. I hope I don't have to go on their website each time.
