This may have been asked, but I have a question about the executive suite. Is the king pull down bed in the parlor comfortable? I'm thinking it would give us an additional seating area with the sleeper sofa, but don't want to give up the heavenly beds if the wall pull down bed is not comfortable.

I have heard others say the murphy beds are comfortable, but I'm with you - so hard to think about giving up that heavenly bed. :cloud9: ARE they really as comfortable?? Looking forward to hearing the answer from those who have experienced it....

They aren't bad but don't measure up to the heavenly beds in my opinion.

Thanks, Greg! That takes care of it for me - we go to the Dolphin for the heavenly beds :cloud9: (among the hundreds of other reasons!! :goodvibes)

I hear you, I am very greedy about my heavenly bed while at the World.. just makes me wish my December trip was tomorrow!

Can you tell me about the king pull down bed. I am wondering how comfortable it is

It's very comfortable. My daughter and i are like the Princess and the Pea. We cannot stand lumpy or uncomfortable beds and we slept like babies on these.

Thanks so much for the reply. We are not going until July 2011 but have the executive suite reserved so can't wait!

We're just back from a wonderful but too short trip to the Dolphin. It was our first time at the Dolphin, although we have been to the Swan twice. The Dolphin is a beautiful hotel, and it seems there was more "stuff" in that hotel as opposed to the Swan. We loved the grotto pool. The beach cabana bar was very pretty too. We ate in the Blue Zoo, which was quite nice. Any questions, I'll try to help!

Feeling a bit blue tonight -- wish I were still there!

Would you have any pictures of the executive suite that you could post. I went through the entire picture posts and a couple people asked but I could not find any pictures posted.

There are pictures and a room layouts on the S&D website.

Thanks, I did see these, but there none of the executive suite at the Dolphin showing the pull down king bed. The 360 tour is of the Swan and the CM on the phone told me the pictures on the web site are also of the Swan and don't show the decor and exact layout (except for the floor plan picture). It sounds amazing and we are looking forward to July 2011.

I know how you feel...I've been back almost a week and I want to go back already! Next year we are planning California though. Disneyland, etc. It's quite a challenge and I just started!

How far in advance do you typically book at the Dolphin? I was hoping to book a bounceback reservation when we're at Disney this November, but I'm not happy about the missing Fall Value season for 2011! I've always thought we'd like to stay at the Dolphin, and I'm thinking now may be the time!

Can I apply a bounceback offer for a stay at the Dolphin?

Can you book and then apply a discount code later, or is it better to wait until you have the discount in hand? I need to evaluate my usual system for booking a WDW trip (booking a year in advance and then watching for discounts), because I suspect going through Disney Reservations won't be the best way to go about it with a S/D stay.

I am a member of the recipe club, but I don't qualify for any of the other special rates...

Thanks in advance!

I am so glad you enjoyed the alcove room! I would love it too! However, WDW is the only place I never seem to look for "extra room" except for my beloved balcony! We are so rarely in the room!

Just back from a trip down to Cape May (the REAL one lol) :beach:and had a fantastically spacious room. Two queens, a sofa, two arm chairs, a desk... spread out and very comfortable. But we spend some time in the room after the beach to shower and relax in the air conditioning before heading back out for dinner, etc. In Disney, we never seem to get much of that time, we are always "on the go" ! :cool1:

I just never thought to book a larger room at the Dolphin! I DO wish we had two bathrooms, however! :dance3: Even a family of three gets spoiled when you have 2 1/2 baths at home for 3 people, then have to "share"! (the horror!) :lmao:

Hi Singing Mom! If you do not mind sharing, can you tell me where you stayed in Cape May (the real one);) and what the room rate was?

Hi guys, it's been a long while! I hope you're having a great summer :)

I just inquired about the teacher rate and it's hard to pass up for next year! I was thinking of doing an Epcot fireworks view, but am also considering a resort view with balcony. Looking at the front of the Dolphin, it looks like all the balconies face away from the front of the Swan and more out towards another wing so I'm wondering what the resort view with balcony really looks like...could anyone confirm if this is a nice view of the Swan or BW or TOT, and if there's a particular wing you would recommend or request? Can anyone share a picture of your resort view w/balcony? TIA in advance! Now I'm really getting excited for 2011!

I thought I would ask the friendly folks on the S/D board 1st if there is anyone who would like 2 restaurant.com certificates. Our plans have changed so we won't be using them. There is one for Kimonos and one for Garden Grove. The Kimonos one is $25 off a min. $35 and the Garden Grove is $25 off min. 2 entrees. I got the Garden Grove one before they added the "dinner only" restriction, so this one should be good for breakfast too! They do not expire and I will mail them to the 1st person who PM's me they would like them.
