I
It's kinda funny, my sister-in-law and I are more bothered with not being informed of the change. My brother is upset that we lost $33 a ticked with the change. When we originally booked, the 6 and 7am flights were available for less than what we payed for the 9am.

OOO... I'm with your brother! THAT would be an issue I wouldn't let go by... how dare them! grrrr... I hate air travel! :sad1:

I agree, that would make mee a little peeved!! We always try for the 1st flight, and usually my problem is the opposite, they move us later, or end up giving us a crazy long layover. I watch my flights like a hawk now! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!!

Thanks, I learned that lesson now. My brother booked the flight, and I didn't know it was as easy as it is to check your flight itinerary/status. If I knew it was I would have probably checked it every week. I have not flown in 8 years so things have changes a little bit.

The ticket price also peeved us off, especially after the guy mentioned that we could buy economy plus for $50 more, but I don't know how they could verify that the tickets were less. We don't know when they made the change, so if we had gotten an email informing us of it, we would have contacted them right away. It's possible that we could have had more flight options at that time. :confused3

I am getting ready to cancel my reservation at the Dolphin for June 21-25. We have a king/resort view/balcony reserved, and I know they have been sold out of king rooms for quite a while. I thought I'd put this out there in case anybody has been looking for that type of room. If you have, just post on here and I'll let you know when I'm going to cancel.

I also have an Il Mulino $25 gift certificate if anybody is going to be there and would like to use it. I can either mail it or drop it off at the resort.

mikegood2.... have you tried calling again and talking to a different supervisor at the airline about trying to get upgraded to the econ seats so you would have reserve seats?? It doesnt always work but sometimes a different person is more willing/able to make those types of adjustments. It might be worth a try.

I really hate to fly without reserved seats and generally will try to pick a flight that has open seats over one that doesn't just for that extra bit of protection. Flying these days is NO FUN!!!

Good luck.

Does anybody know the price of a refillable mug at Picabu? How about a picture? I can't wait to go at the end of May!!!:cool1:

Did a quick google search and here is what I found from a year ago.

Are they offered at the Swan or Dolphin?

The "Disney" refillable mugs are NOT offered at the S/D.

However the Picabu eatery at the Dolphin only does offer a refillable mug for just $12.95. They offer complimentary refills at Picabu ONLY for the duration of your visiting including most sodas and coffee.

These Picabu mugs CAN be brought back on future trips for more refills.

What does the Picabu Mug look like?

They look like this:

Here's a link to The One And Only Refillable Mug FAQ and Questions Thread

Not sure if prices or design (Hope they have) changed since then. You best bet would be to call the S/D and ask.

Sorry but I don't know how to post the box with previous comment....I am truly hopeless with computers :rolleyes1...but to those who were asking about renovations......

Sunday, I received an email that my Executive suite at the Dolphin was being renovated during our trip this 10/28-11/2. They had rebooked us into a larger Grand Suite at the Swan for no extra charge. I called because I was really planning for the Murphy Bed at the Dolphin and the proximity to the pool, and they upgraded me to a 2 BR.Grand Suite at the Swan for the same original price of $329 plus tax/resort charge per night. That is inclusive of the Nurses Discount. I received an email confirmation of the change and could not be happier!

Looks like renovations to the suites are still ongoing

Wish I had "Swalphin-ed" it years ago!!

To those talking about Bluezoo.....Boston Magazine has a big article this month trashing Todd English and his chain of eateries. I have only been a few times to a few different spots here in Boston and Vegas. They were fine, not fabulous or horrendous. Check it out if you can at bostonmagazine.com

:rolleyes1

Congrats on the room upgrade. It is always nice when a hotel goes out of their way, and handle an issue it a way that benefits the guest. :thumbsup2 Now if only the airline industry would learn the same lesson.

We are staying in an executive suite in June and it will be interesting to see if they have been renovated or not.

See, I am learning, Mike!
I get what you mean about the airlines. I am losing it while waiting for JetBlue to extend their dates past 10/29. I really don't WANT to come home from Orlando, but he kids do need to get back to school!:dance3:

I got an email today from Jet Blue that they are expanding their schedule to Jan 3rd starting tomorrow.

I think you might only need to wait one more night!

Good luck.:goodvibes

My DD and I just returned from an Easter weekend at Disney. This was our first stay at the Dolphin; we usually stay at Disney’s deluxe resorts. I have some pics of our stay to share. We arrived late (12:30 AM Thursday night) and were given our reserved standard room. I asked about any comp upgrades and was very nicely accommodated for the next night. The first night we would be staying as reserved, standard view. Check-in was great and the staff member was very nice! Here is the first room (5th Floor) and wonderful view (I took the window views the next morning).

As you can see the first standard view was very standard. The room was ok but the air conditioner made a horrible noise the entire night. Since it was so very late when we arrived we just turned the TV on to muffle the noise. I would not have accepted this if I had been in this room the entire stay.

I will post the other room and view tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see/hear about the other room and the rest of your stay!

Now that our plane is arriving 3 hours early than expected, I've got a few questions about holding luggage at the s/d if our room is not ready.

How secure is the area they store your luggage? Would you trust leaving a bag with a laptop and electronics their?

Do they have anyplace we could temporarily store any items that need to be refrigerated from our grocery stop? We were planning on picking up some milk/juice.

Also, any suggestion on places that would be quiet enough for two young girls to take a nap if they need it. Not sure if they will need it, but options are always nice. :thumbsup2

I just had a quick question:
We are booking our stay for September on Friday. What's the lowest possible rate that we can get right now? Are there any specials right now? We are not eligible for the teachers/nurses etc disc. We are getting married at the Swan but not having a reception, so we didn't qualify for the discount with that either.
Thanks in advance!!!
