The fridge can hold a half gallon of milk, it did not have a freezer section, so our little freezer packs weren't operational after the first day. We ended up putting some ice in a baggie, and stuck it in the cooler and that worked all right.

The mini fridge is a decent size. It held sodas, water, half pound of sandwich meat; cheese; grapes, the milk, a smaller bottle of OJ; some juice packs.

It worked fine for us!

Thanks for the info, and the great idea about putting Ice in a small bag in the cooler...I would have never thought of that :) Now I can bring some cheese to nibble on while waiting in those long lines! :scared1:

Just got back from a wonderful trip on Saturday...will definately recommend the Swan and the Heavenly beds. Great stay and wonderful weather.

I'll get some pics up over the next few days. Unfortunately we did not have the greatest view from our Alcove room, but I wasn't there for the view...just the parks and a good nights rest after a long day.:thumbsup2

Here is a pic I took with my phone at Epcot...

Lissiesmum hope you get packed soon! I get so excited when it is time to pack. But my OCD steps in too so I pack early to make sure I don't forget anything. HA!

Today at work my sis called & I asked her if she had packed yet. A lady in my office started saying that she knew I was already packed. HA!

Hope to see you there!

Are you guys kidding? It's been almost nonstop rain here, I have over 2 months to go...... I'm ready to start packing now!!!!:rolleyes1

Hi everyone! My family (me, dh, 2 dd's and my parents) is heading for the Dolphin in June for our first ever stay there :goodvibes, and I had a few questions I hoped you could help with.

First, we traditionally stay at the Disney deluxes, and it's so convenient to have towels available at the pools, rather than having to lug them down from our rooms. Does the same hold true at the Dolphin? Can I get towels down at the pool?

Second, we have booked 2 king rooms and requested that they have the connecting door. But now, I wonder... do they even HAVE connecting kings? Or will one of us have to drop down to a room with 2 double beds?

Thanks in advance!!

S

I don't know the answer to the connecting king rooms, but they definitely DO provide beach towels AT the pool. There is a little pool hut that you walk up to & give your room number. No need to drag them down from the room!

Enjoy your stay!

That's great to hear! Thanks SO much!

Second pool question (and I know this gets a lot of people on the board hot and bothered, and I am honestly not trying to cause trouble, I promise!)... Dear friends of ours (whose children are our dd's best friends) are visiting WDW at the same time we are and they are staying at the Beach Club. I understand the pool policy at the Disney resorts, and I know we can't join them at SAB, but I was wondering if they could come hang out with us at the pool at the Dolphin? We would love to hang out, have a drink by the pool and let all our little girls swim together. That said, we don't want to break any rules or policies. Is this something that would be permitted?

Thanks!

S

O.k we just had a king room on the 16th floor that had a connecting door...I don't know what was on the other side of the door but it was a connecting room.
The pool towels can also be gotten from the health club if like me you want to swim before 9am as the official posted hours are not until 9am so the pool hut isn't open before that.
Yes they can come over and swim at the swan/dolphin and no one would know any different. It might be officially frowned upon but there was people doing that same thing while we were there.
It's a bit of a walk for them to get over to the dolphin for the pool but if you all wanna hang for the afternoon that's cool.
The pool bar I found expensive compared to others we have used....like at POR where they have the BEST non-alcoholic pool drinks!!

For those of you getting ready to go, HAVE FUN!!

Question re: Bluezoo attire.

This is what I found:

•Dress Code Guidelines:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.

Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.

That doesn't sound too restrictive at all, but wanted to get an idea of how most people actually dress . . . Are most men wearing khakis or jeans? Are most women wearing capris or dresses? Thanks!

I have dined at bluezoo twice. I wore bermudas both times with T-shirt. We were going to the park right after dinner so I needed to be comfortable (these trips were in late July so it is HOT...LOL).

Hi Karen - how neat that we both have S/D stays to look forward to!! I know of Todd English's reputation, but honestly never looked at their menu. I will check it out.

I wouldn't worry about having your friends come over and swim with your family, especially since you are staying at the S/D. As long as their swimming there does not interfere with others swimming you should be fine. I think most people who have a problem with non-guests swimming at different resorts when they don't know anyone staying there.

I have found that most posters DIS board are very helpful and informative, but there are always a few that just need to be or come across rude. I ran into that when started a post on the transportation board about a month ago asking if anyone knew what the max. personal bag size was for United. Had two post that basically said the same thing, but the way they were written made a huge difference on how the person came across. One person came across helpful and the other person came across rude.

Thanks for the feedback! I think we're going to play mini golf right after or hang out at the BW, so I want to be comfortable, too.

Trying to decide between a suite at the Swan or Dolphin for our family of five. Which suites have balconies?:goodvibes

I had the same question! I think we are not even allowed to sit in the pool area at CBR, where the rest of our family is staying, to visit there (and as such we are not planning to), but we were hoping that my parents could spend some pool time with our son at the Dolphin. Good to know this is okay. They will be out of luck once we switch to the Polynesian, I know!

I have another question...leaving in two days :) I was wondering what is the most direct route when walking to Epcot from the Dolphin?

Haven't been in years & trying to catch up! I guess my last Dolphin stay was about 7 years ago. They had just rehabbed and gotten the blond wood furniture. Has their been renovation recently? I see things about L2 Studio and those pictures are beautiful!!! Are they all done like those? We are thinking about a suite. Thanks for helping me get back on track.
