Thats true.
But for me i would rather have Edward over Jacob and i just don't like Jacob because i find him annoying but i think some people just get so obsessed over Edward they just don't care what they say about the other characters but thats just my opinion.

I know what you mean, but I have a lot of reasons for liking Edward better.
I liked Jacob in New Moon, but in Eclipse he was just so selfish and cocky and he really got on my nerves.

Like, I don't mind Jacob. I think he would make a great friend. He's just annoying in New Moon, and I wanted to hit him. And I just like Edward more.

I mean sure he is like the dark mysterious prince we all dream of - - *Someone starts humming "Someday my Prince will come..." *
But Jacob is soft and cuddly and a bit more relateable. (Sp?)

Let's put it this way I have an easier time imagining Edward as the evil dude.

1- He left Bella.

2- He is way to over protective - like not letting her see Jacob.

Ok... maybe he's not that bad but what has Jacob done wrong - steal a kiss or two? I guess i just feel like everyone is like " Edward" and treating Jacob like Chopped liver. It makes me .

I hate angry Edward.
I do like Edward better, I don't think about him rationally.
And yes, it is probably because he came along first.
If it had been a story about Jacob being a werewolf and then Edward coming along, I'd probably hate him.

I didn't like Jake from the getgo. From his minor appearance in Twilight I hated him. I still do. I've always loved Alice and Rose. Hearing Rosalie's devastating story in Eclipse gave me a lot of respect for her. It was the best written story of them.

I never liked Jacob. Really, I don't know why..I think it seems like he bugs her too much and he's trying to hard..

I think, yes, Edward may be over-protective, but that's just because he loves her and doesn't want to lose her. I think it may be over-bearing, but I also think it's sweet.

Stephenie Meyer said that these quotes are out of context, etc and probably don't mean exactly what they seem to.
So it being actually about baseball is unlikely.
