Can you get tonga toast at O'Hana's during the character breakfast? I've never had it in all our stays. We usually just do the lounge in Hawaii for breakfast.

TIA

OMG, my young'un will looooooooove the Tonga Toast. Holy cow! Now I'm glad I made that Kona Cafe ADR for the morning we leave! We'll have to PAY (having used up all our DDP TS meals earlier in the week), but it looks totally worth paying OOP!

I don't think you can because it's not listed on the menu, however you can get it at Kona Cafe or Captin Cook's.

 Dude - we are Poly People!!!! of course we are laid back and tolerent:goodvibes

now - tonga toast! that is a subject!

Here's a question ... can you get it with just cin and no sug?

We're arriving at the Poly on WEDNESDAY!!!!!

What will we love the most??

Have a wonderful time, take lots of pics and be sure to post a review here when you get back!!! (or live if you want, we won't mind!! :goodvibes )

OMG that pix of the Tonga Toast is making me salivate! :rotfl:
Personally, I think I'll load some butter on top and skip the syrup. (Heck it's already sugary enough, right...so I'll add some more fat to it instead of sugar! :lmao:

RE: Smoking - I am not a smoker nor is DH but I have found that MOST places, people who DO smoke tend to be very aware of kids and usually will move away if they see a kid coming. That's been my experience, when I've been on vacations with kids.

OK so back to food.....someone show me a pix of those sticky wings! Are they to DIE for??? And someone show me some pix of Ohana's dinner!! mmmmmmmmmMMMMMmmmm I'm getting hungry!

I don't have pix of the sticky wings :(
Butter on the TT? N-IIIIIIIIIIIIIICE

That picture is making me hungry for some Tonga Toast.

Before long I hope you'll be enjoying some :wave2:

I do not know the answer to that. Hopefully someone going very soon can ask at Kona??

That is awesome :cool1:
I think what you'll love most is just being at the resort. Waking up there..walking to the pool... checking out the beach... the lobby... enjoying the INCREDIBLE views. You will seriously LOVE the Polynesian :cloud9: I am so happy for you!

This isn't good ---

Now you all have me thinking about trying the Tonga Toast!!!:rotfl:

I really cant afford it -- both because we're paying for the club breakfast, and because I cant afford the calories -- how many does that thing have?? Must be at least 1000!!!!

But now I'm thinking I need to make reservations at Kona for breakfast!! My DH is going to think that's silly, since we have the lounge breakfast for "free".

But, really, thanks for all these wonderful, informative posts. We're creatures of habit and dont often try new resorts on our vacations (WDW and elsewhere), but we're going to try the Poly and all your posts are making me feel more comfortable with our decision.:lovestruc

A few questions as we wrap up our preparations for our trip....can you all tell me about Captain Cook's? We are likely going to eat there the night we arrive and maybe a fast breakfast or two. What is good/not so good to get there? Does it have any decent healthier selections?

If we want to drive to DHS and Blizzard Beach on 2 different days, how much time should we allow to be there at rope drop?

Our first trip to the Poly is less than 2 weeks!!!! I am just dying to get there.

So are WE!!!!!!!!!!!! If you see a family with four young kids and a husband who is 6'7 (TALLLLLL), that will be me! We plan to be at the pool every afternoon. Please say hi!!! I am so excited for some Tonga Toast!:yay:

I never had anything for breakfast there, however during lunch time and etc I enjoyed the Double Cheeseburger, Adult Grilled Cheese Sandwich, the Chicken Caesar Salad and the Cheese & Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza.

Oh yum..Adult Grilled Cheese Sandwich sounds interesting. Is it made with a spicy cheese or just larger than a child's sandwich? I love grilled cheese so either way it would be good:) :)

Hi there.
Tonga Toast is worth the extra $$ and the calories. Honestly...

I actually prefer eggs and bacon to sweets if I'm going to have a big breakfast but sometimes TT hits the spot perfectly :cloud9: We go to Kona often, whether staying at Poly or GF.

Breakfast in the CL lounges of ANY of the resorts can get old - you will want a "real" breakfast some days. Kona Cafe is a great spot for mornings where you want more than what the lounge has to offer :thumbsup2

Do you have an AP? We do and I have a DDE (Disney Dining Experience card.) I think it was $75 for the year and I get 20% off of all food and wine in almost every restaurant in WDW. It's awesome!

So glad you're giving the Polynesian a try

Thanks very much for the link:thumbsup2
You're welcome.

Nice :thumbsup2 Sounds interesting... and I love those Poly chips :lovestruc
The Adult Grilled Cheese was actually my favorite thing to order at Captin Cook's, although the only thing I did not have on there was the Blue Cheese. So if you don't want anything on it you can take it off when using the ordering machine. I don't remember how that process works since it's been a while, however when I asked a Cast Member he showed me right away and found it very easy to do.

Where do you get a DDE? Can I order it online?
