I'm looking for room numbers in the villas. To be specific the rooms which are as close to the main lodge as possible looking to the lagoon. Or a map of the villas with room numbers would help as well.

Thanks

Actually I was hoping for those daily "reporter on the scene" type reports. Just looking for one more thing to make these last 10 days go by quicker. Reading some averages on a weather website is ok. But it doesn't compare to the first-hand accounts.

I'm a weather fanatic, and although I'm not ready to fill FloridaCat's shoes, I did find the following link to an Orlando TV station that has a brief video of the weather updated twice a day:

http://a.www.orlandoweather.com/index.html

Unfortunately, at the end of the summer they shortened the presentation from a "normal" length TV forecast to a really brief presentation...but it's better than nothing!

I just wanted to say "Thank You" to everyone on this thead who has supplied such wonderful information for our trip.

We are sooooo excited! I know I'll never sleep tonight! I can't believe that at this time tomorrow, we'll actually be LIVING our DREAM vacation!

Thanks again to everyone! I'll post a detailed report when we return. Is there anything anyone would like for me to check on while I'm there? I'd be happy to re-pay the favor by helping someone else, since everyone has been so wonderful to help me.

Well......I guess it's off to bed, and then off to see the mouse!!!!

Tons of pixie dust coming your way, lasmickey, for a wonderful trip!:wizard: Can't wait to read your trip report! Have a Great trip!

Have a great trip! Take lots of pics and share with us.

My request? Take a picture of the view from your balcony and send it over to me at wdwwl@majesticnetworks.net when you get back. :)

Any pictures of Halloween decorations at WL would be cool too. ::yes::

Cya!

OMG! 3more nights and we're on our way "home"
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Do they decorate the VWL for Halloween too? When? I packed a Happy Halloween banner for our door to help us find it at night!

Fred,

I will be sure to take a picture of the view from our balcony (several, I'm sure! :D ), and any fall/halloween decorations I see too.

Anyone else have a request before we head out today?

Lori

That is a GREAT IDEA! Would make it easier for the little ones to recognize the room. Will have to take you up on that one next trip. :) Thanks for the cool tip!

Have a great time and remember, when at the lodge, pat the bear's nose so the magic can begin.

Besty thank you so much. Does the 2nd floor room offer bunk beds. Are any of these near vending machines? I assume they have them are there certain floors they are on.

2113 was on the second floor ...it was right near the Merchentile and doors to the busses...I REALLY liked this room...it was close to everything and you never had to wait for an elevator..vending was right down the all and there was a door that went out and crossed the creek right at Roaring Forks entrance...This was a nice quiet room!

Here is the link...also...the link at the bottom of my signature works ( that is when Yahoo isn't too bogged down)

You can download Weatherbug and put Disney's Zip Code in ...They have a realtime weather radar at the Contempory...I used zip 32789 then scroll down to the Resort you can see the wind shift and what the "real" conditions are..

With a live camera shot from the Swan and Dolphin. I have had my Weatherbug set to that Zip for about a month now. I like to watch the sun come up at WDW.

MagicinmyHeart-

Thanks for the map that was exactly what I was looking for.

ETA - Is there a place to find the layouts of the 2bedroom villas. I was wondering the differences between the square shaped (which we stayed in last year and the W shaped one on the corner?

Thanks

The door or the room behind it? When did they remove the numbers?

The yellow colored Villas are the dedicated two-bedroom Villas. The two-bedroom villas that are located on the corners (near the elevators, atrium and are W shaped) are also dedicated but the living room, dinning room and kitchen are much larger then the other dedicated two-bedrooms...and I love these, I have stayed in room 3528 & 4528 each once. (over look the front of the villas) I keep hoping for 2519, 3519 or 4519 which would overlook the pool. They might also give you a One-bedroom lockoff (darkergreen) that connects to a studio lockoff. (light-blue) so be sure to request a dedicated two-bedroom. The 2nd bed-room in a dedicated has two queen size beds...the studio lockoff has a queen size bed and a queen size pullout sofa.Hope this helps.

Because there are just a few of the larger villas I have never seen any photo's of them but they have much more room. The dinning room is seperate and has a large dinner table for six. I would request one of these everytime. The two bedrooms are on either side of the living area so you can tell you will have addition sq. ft.

We will be staying at the VWL in Feb. Are all of the 1 bedroom villas exactly the same layout? How are the views in the villas, should I request a certain area? We have stayed on property many times, but I have never requested a specific room.

WANNABE@WDW

Yes all the one bed-rooms have the same layout if you click on the link I posted below you will see the one-bedrooms that are available I would request a dedicated one bedroom because there would be less noise if someone is staying in the Studio next to you.

Most of the Villas have a Woods View. A few overlook the pool area.

I just wanted to post a short report. We were at the lodge 9/17 thru late 9/27.. ( we were scheduled to leave on 9/25 but Jeanne changed our plans!)

We had room 7043... Great view!!

The Lodge is still intact. It was incredible how wonderful WDW was during a Hurricane! We were in lock down from 8pm Sat through Monday morning! They had a band... characters.. games... and crafts set up throughout the whole time! I really can't say enough about what a great time they made, out of a bad situation!!

I'm sorry I have to be so quick, I just got home!!!! If anyone has any questions I'll be back to answer them!!

Welcome back! Glad to hear that all turned out well considering the circumstances. :)

Disney does have a way of doing things eh?

Anyway, I got an email from the manager of the concierge floor on Friday. He was telling me how they had to prepare for another storm and how hectic it was. I bet they made it look easy.

I have a few questions....

Did you get to know any of the concierge staff by name? Who did you work with the most? Was there a favorite person? Did you meet Mark Newman, the manager of the floor?

They are all great there. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Did you take a picture of your balcony view? Send it on over to wdwwl@majesticnetworks.net for me to add to the gallery?

Thanks,

Fred

newholiday -

I think it's a cute idea. When my neices went to WDW last Christmas they put a special wreath on the door. They loved it , it made their room "special".

If I ever went over the holidays I'd put a wreath/banner on my door too. :) I'm going the first week of Dec , but maybe that's too early for a wreath.

Just adds to the fun at Disney.

The more I read this thread, the more I lean towards WL for our next trip. It's between that and AKL. But WL is starting to sound really good. :)
