How do you attach the wreath/banner to the door??? And is this only done in the Villas? We're going next year during the holidays & I'd love to do something special like that!:hyper: But we're staying in the Lodge.

I think those super thin hangers would probably work. You know the kind you can put on the back of a door to make a hook?

(What an awesome pic....what's NOT to love about this place????)

Too bad they didn't have a camera on top of the WL....mebbe the "Flag Family" could :wave2: to us!

Hey, anyone call CRO lately to get prices on the WL during Presidents' Week???:hyper:

What is the difference between the lockoff and dedicated rooms? We're heading to the Villas next week and we want to get a good room. Any suggestions on specific rooms that we should ask for?

Let me see if I can explain...when you request a Villa you have three options at VWL You can request a 2-bedroom, 1-bedroom, or a Studio, because of variable request DVC has come up with ways to accomadate different request and still meet DVC members wants.

They have a 2-bedrooms that are dedicated and they have have a 1-bedroom that can be joined with a studio that have a connecting door between them so when opened you have a 2-bedroom (sq. ft is the same) they call the 1-bedroom and Studio's that can be put together lock-offs , because they can also be locked off and rented as a 1-bedroom or a studio.

When you have a dedicated 2-bedroom the second bedroom has two queen size beds. when you have a 2-bedroom lock off the second bedroom will have 1 queen size bed and a pull out sofa because it doubles as a studio when not connect to the 1-bedroom to make a 2-bedroom villa.

Hope this helps.

Did you look at the Villa lay-out on the link I posted? Just click the link below and it will give you the locations of each villa at VWL:

I got it this past May..I was there from April 30 - May 3rd... I think the AP rates came out at the end of March! I will look back at my posts and see if I can find the exact time they did!

Hi everyone!!

We are staying at the YC Oct 29-31. We are then switching to WL Oct 31-Nov 7.

The morning of the 31st we have an 8:50 PS for CRT:Pinkbounc

Ok, here is the question... How can we check in at WL and get to our PS painlessly. Can we register for our room and get our tix 12:01 am the night before our PS? We have a package deal and will need to get our tix to enter MK.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The more I read this thread, the more I lean towards WL for our next trip. It's between that and AKL. But WL is starting to sound really good. :)

The WL vets speaking of their love of the WL is exactly why I booked my trip to the WL. I am just sorry I wont be able to share my excitement with FloridaCat:(

That is a good question...maybe head to the WL at 7am?? I am not sure...HELP!!! HELP!!! A QUESTION IS HERE!!!

I found the staff to be much more friendly ( if that is possible) than last year. They went out of there way to make everything special. If I was to pick a favorite CL cast member I'd have to split it up. The first few days Jack was working and he was fabulous!! He helped with some special details,, very personable! As the trip went on Trish kinda took over where Jack left off, she is so sweet! Then the hurricane news came out and Marcos... Maraleesh (sp??) and a thin gentlemen with glasses worked with us ( man, why can't I think of his name?) They were all very funny and helpful! There was one that was less than personable, almost mopey, as if it was a bother to come to work everyday. If you want to know who, I'll pm you.
I did get to meet Mark, he wasn't around during the first part of our trip, I really started to see him maybe around Thursday evening or early Friday. Then I don't think he left, he was out and about training a new girl, and preparing everyone for JEANNE. He made it a point to visit every room on his floor to talk to us all!! He was WONDERFUL!!!!

I'll be sure to send the balcony shot over to you!

Jack is quite the amusing fellow. :) Very outgoing.

I would have to pick Miguel and Daisy as my two favorites but I also know that there are some new folks over there as of late and I haven't stayed there since 1/2004.

Looking forward to seeing some cool pics and a trip report maybe? :)

Just back from our first visit to WL. I so understand now everyone's feelings about this special place.

I was prepared to be happy with my choice of lodging, but I was not ready for how comfortable and welcoming the Lodge would be for my family. From the moment DS rubbed Humphrey's nose until we checked out it felt like home.

DS never wanted to leave. This vacation whenever he asked when are we going home he meant when are we going back to the WL. DH (who never wants to stay the same place twice) now says he can't imagine staying anywhere else.

I'll post a report soon.

Welcome back! Glad to read that you had a good time. We are all looking forward to trip reports.

It's nice to see another person's fresh perspective of WL after a stay there. Welcome aboard! :)

Let me think...:scratchin...You will be flying but will you have a rental car? I can't remember. If you have a rental car just check-out of the YC Sunday Morning and drive over to Wilderness Lodge and do an early check-in 7:00am. You will have a better chance for a room location or an upgrade, they will give you your resort ID's and tickets then, your room may even be ready. If your room is ready just let Bell Services hold your luggage until you return from the park later that day. You will be able to call and receive your room # if it isn't ready yet without standing in line at guest services again.

You will not be able to receive your tickets the night before even if you are there at 12:01 am. So you need to arrive at WL in time to register and receive your tickets the morning before you go to the Magic Kingdom for EMH and your CRT PS, the large boat starts running around 7:20am to arrive at the MK before 8:00am.

I have been thinking about how I would do it...without a car...I have decided I would just call bell services at the YC and tell them to have a taxi ready after they pick-up your luggage, just take a cab to WL. If there are too many in your family to ride in one cab, I would send the family on over to the MK and have them meet you by the boat dock where the WL boat docks. That would be the less painful way. I believe the cab would be about $10.00.

If you don't want the extra expense of a cab and you want Disney to move your luggage you should be up early call bell services to pick-up your luggage to transfer it to WL then catch the bus for early PS...tell the bus driver you need to get to WL the driver maybe able to take you to TTC where you could catch the bus over to WL or he may take you to WL...it will take extra time so be sure your ready early.

Thanks MagicInMyHeart!!

We are driving so we will have our car.

Ok, so I will check out of YC around 6:30, drive to WL check- in and then take the boat to the MK for not only EMH but also CRT!! Sounds good to me. I am sooo excited!!!!

Ok, next question. We are booked for a Woods view room with bunk beds. I also requested at the time of booking a view of the castle. I noticed that these requests are also on my confirmation page that I received in the mail. What room should I be asking for?
