I have heard good things about the cubs den but have not yet used them as my daughter is not 4 yet. (Minimum age plus potty trained)

Liv2CDWorld used them one trip I think.

I also have pictures of the Cubs Den in my Wilderness Lodge FAQ Gallery. Click the link in my signature and go to the cubs den pictures folder.

Hope this helps.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but can anyone point me to a picture showing the concierge lounge spread(food items) displayed.

I remember seeing one last year but can't remember the website I visited.

Thanks

If you go to Majestic's last post under his signature photo of his beautiful family there is a link that reads
"Click here to see the Wilderness Lodge FAQ Photo Gallery!!"

Just click on that link, then select Wildernes Lodge Resort Pictures-Inside, Fred has several photo's of the Concierge tables on the 7th floor.

In a little over one week, DD & I will be going back to the WL. It's been many years since we have been there.
I have one question (for now): Do the drapes stay closed in the middle? Or should I bring some clothespins to keep them shut? That thin band of sunlight wakes me up immediately.

Thanks WL'ers for all the information.....I know time will now go VERY slow until next Thursday.

Well add the clothspins to your list...sometimes I can get them to close completely...but sometimes no go.

Have a MAGICAL TRIP.

We were there last week and the drapes closed all the way--no light got in at all, nor could we hear any outside noise and we were facing the falls and the pool.

Time may go slowly until next Thursday, but it picks up speed once you arrive at WL! Have a great time!

Zoo Keeper & Laura, have wonderful trips! If you're like me, you'll keep "pinching"yourself when you finally arive. Yes, it is *real*!

OK, DH and I are planning for a night out when we are there (Dinner at Artist's Point ALONE! and possibly DTD for a little while). We have two DS 9 and 3, so the thing is do we let older son go to the Den and have Fairygodmother come for our little one? Or have them both stay together with Kids Nite Out? I'm leaning toward keeping them together (paranoid mom). I've read where they keep the kids entertained, but I would hate to coop them up in the room the whole time we are away. I see also where they are allowed to take the kids out of the rooms, I would appreciate a little more insite on this if anyone can help me out. Thanks! Oh and we have decided to add an extra day so we can hopefully get in MVMCP!!!

I bet the older one would really like the Den. DS (then 7, if I remember right) really liked it. It would also give him the opportunity to meet some other older children. I'm not sure how young it goes, though. The Fairygodmother we had several years ago (when DS was 3) would have taken him outside if we'd wanted her too. (This was a few years ago, though, so I don't know if they will still do this or not). It wouldn't be hard to split them up that way if you wanted, since the Cub's Den is right near the restaurant.

just curious as to why you are flying into miami and then driving to orlando..we live in fort lauderdale and it takes us about 3 1/2 hours to get there leaving from miami it will take a little over 4 hours..after flying all night i think the anticipation of arriving while on that drive would do me in:hyper:i hope you guys have a great trip..by the way 14 days at the lodge-- :D lucky ducks:D

:moped: :moped:
We fly to Miami just because we have FREE frequent - flyers tickets... and they do Milan- Miami, there is no direct flight from here to Orlando !!!
We found in the past years we like best driving to WDW than catching a new flight !!!! ( After nearly 10 hours of flight ... we don't want to be on another plane );)

:grouphug:
THANK to you and KIMBERLE : we will try and have a good trip and a wonderful vacation !!!!!!!!
This has been a very hard year to us....... and we look soooooooooo forward to being at the lodge ... It will be our vacation of a lifetime !!!!!!

Hi Cheryl,

The WL offers dial up internet access. However, the WL Villa's may have the Wireless up an running (I'm not sure of the timeline for this..)

The last I checked, the boat to the Contemporary started running at 7:30 am. I'm not sure if this is still correct.

Fred, thanks a bunch for clearing up my concierge questions. It really help quite a bit. Given what you said about the 7th floor having some the best views, can you recommend an area in the inner courtyard to request when making our reservations?

Thanks again, Julie:earsboy:
