A very happy unbirthday to everyone! Morning! The weekend is here!!! WOOOHOOO!

Good Friday morning to all,

A little off topic, still relating to resorts, but I figured someone here would know.

If we get a bus from a resort and get off at the Magic Kingdom ticket center, can we walk to the Polynesian? :D

Have a very magical day everyone!

If you mean the TTC, yes you can. There is a path that leads directly into the Poly. Takes 5 - 10 minutes, depending on fast you walk.

Yup! You sure can! They are very close.

TTC, yes. My mind is not working so good this morning. Thinking of the weekend.

Thank you both, such a quick response. I knew I would get the answer here. Makes planning breakfast at Kona Cafe a little easier. :D

Wait, dizneykid you wont be able to catch a bus to TTC from your resort unless your staying at Wilderness Lodge or Ft. Wilderness Campground, these are the only Resorts that have a bus route that goes to TTC. You would have to go to the MK then take the resort monorail to Poly or the Ferry to TTC then walk to Poly.

Hello again :wave2:

We can both be a Flag Family!

Whats the first thing you are going to do when you get there, besides check in and Flag Family?

14 days for us now YEAH!!
almost 13

OK, Thanks. We are staying at POR this time (due to low funds), but at least we are getting away. My first choice was WL, but that will be next time. At least we can go visit the lodge. I keep looking at the pictures and it makes me feel so "home" sick. I really wish we were going to stay there. Just have to keep saving money. Still getting over the layoff last year.

Anyway, back to the subject. OK, so a bus will go from POR to the Magic Kingdom and then I could take the monorail to Poly. When do busses start running. We have 9:00am PS's for breakfast at Kona. Would it be reasible to leave the resort at 8:00am? I feel a little confused, I know we could take the car but I would rather use the disney transportation cause we want to visit the Magic Kingdom after breakfast and it is only a monorail stop away. I really appreciate all your help. :D

The buses do start running about an hour before Park Opening so you should be fine catching the bus at 8:00a.m. arriving at MK then riding the Resort Monorail to the Poly. with plenty of time to make your PS. (Kona Cafe Yummy,)

Have a Great Trip.

I am asuming you can do the Family Plan at the Poly too? If so, how do the pontoon boat rentals work? Can you actually take a pontoon boat out during wishes. Also what would the maximum capacity be?
The reason I am asking is: Originally. we want to do the pontoon Illuminations cruise...but it would be more cost effective this way, and the Illumination cruises are hard to get!
Anyone?

AspiringCindy,

I am asuming you can do the Family Plan at the Poly too?
Yes,::yes:: all the resorts with Marina's will have the plan:

Can you actually take a pontoon boat out during wishes. Also what would the maximum capacity be?
No, so sorry the Marina closes at dusk for guest...these are the same boats that Disney uses for the Wishes & Illuminations Cruise.
But one driver can check out a pontoon boat and I believe up to eight guest can have a nice time out on Bay Lake or Seven Seas Lagoon.::yes::

Well, the CM I spoke to earlier this week obviously did not have the correct information. I knew it was too good to be true!

Thanks for the update!

With so much going on now, that's why I called the Marina direct, I even went to Sammy Duvall's site to check there about the new age requirment (no updates yet)

But even the girl there said she wasn't sure how long they would have the Plans, she must be tired of all the changing back and forth also.

The Lodge is my favorite resort on property!! I had a woods view room on my last trip and it was great (see pic below). I found the cast members great, check-in was quick and the service fantastic.

Transportation: I really did not have too much trouble regarding the buses. I think the longest I waited was 25 minutes for a bus to DTD. I did not wait more than 15 minutes for a bus to EPCOT, MGM or Animal Kingdom. The boats run about every 20 minutes to the Magic Kingdom & Contemporary. Make sure to give yourself extra time if you have a PS at either of these locations, in case you just miss the boat and have to wait for another.

Dining: Dined for the first time at the WCC and thought it was pretty good. Since I was there solo, I was not really interested in all the horsing around and the CM was very respectful of that.

Bell Services: They were very quick to bring my bags up to the room when it was ready.

well...I am not getting there as early as I normally do. My DH is a fire chief and isn't getting off shift till 8am Friday AM..then we have to pick up DSS at his mom's. I am thinking we will be there by noon so maybe have some lunch at WCC then head to MK!

As we move back to the front, I would like to remind you that WL has a quiet pool. It located in font of the Villas Courtyard. Plenty of tables and a large towel bin. My favorite is to get a drink from the Trout bar and sit at the first table on the right. There is a rock speaker there piping the lobby music. Maybe if I put on my WL CD and do like Betsy and close my eyes.

Hi everyone! I am so excited - we just changed our 8 night Dolphin vacation to 5 nights so that we get 3 nights to spend at the WL! Anyway, I have a few questions for you experts (sorry if these have been asked before): I have a Woods View room booked with a request for bunk beds. Are the Woods View rooms the only rooms with bunk beds? Would an upgrade make me lose the possibility of bunks? Also, what is the best way to get to the Contemporary? Thanks in advance!!!
