I love it Janice that you said...

"I would be happy with any room at WL. Just being there is good enough for me!!!"

...I was getting a little worried with all the posts about which rooms, floors and views, etc. but we're not fussy, I'm just excited to have a balcony, LOL.

Boy does sitting by the pool in the evening with a drink while watching ds swim with the beautiful ambience of the lodge (as seen in the photos that some of you have been so kind to post links to) looks like heaven! I can't wait!!!!

Thanks so much!!!

Many prefer a lobby room and others want to be out in the wings. As for viewing the lobby it is real easy, take the main evevator to any floor and you can view the entire lobby. Each floor has some interesting art and decor, so we enjoy going to each floor and walk around the hall surrounding the lobby. Also little nooks where to read a book or just catch your breath.

We always plan one "no park" day so we can enjoy the lodge.

It is the perfect end of a perfect day for us. There is no special place you have to sit, just whatever fits your fancy from the deck off the lobby down to the beach and everything in between..

WolfpackFan,
Thanks for the link to your photo's, The segways look like so much fun...Majestic will be green with envy. The photo's of the Lodge are all beautiful.

SpeechGuy,
I have read what others have said, (noise) but I personally would love one of the "BEAR FACE ROOMS" at Christmas Time just opening the door and the Christmas Tree being right there...then to be able to look out on Bay Lake and the EWP (Heaven)

dlstc,
Thanks for the information about the Family Plans...I will add the information back to page one when we get full details. I still have a few weeks before I get back to the Lodge so if anyone visits earler please just PM me and I will add it to Page One.

When I read about so many saying..."Why stay at a deluxe and spend the extra money, all we use the resort for is to sleep." I think boy are they going to be tired after their vacation...just go, go, go. I find that while staying at the WL that I'm more rested then on other trips because we do plan on Resort time and enjoy the Lodge just as much as any of the Parks. The boys had rather be at the lodge then any park.

Snoopymom-you will just love it there.
My favorite moment of our last trip was after a long day at MGM we got some pizza from Roaring Forks, some drinks from Territory Lounge and relaxed at the pool.
My girls swam and pretended to be Ariel perched up on the rocks like in the Little Mermaid show at MGM while my son napped in the stroller.
My husband and I struck up a wonderful conversion with another family, enjoyed some hot tub time and soaked in all the lovely sights and sounds of the lodge at night. It was such a beautiful and relaxing night.
I think its funny that this night turned out to be my favorite moment of the trip versus any park/ride/meal etc.

We have tons of videotape of WL at night (and day) and my family loves to watch it over and over. ALMOST like being there!!

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to read all the information in the WL threads. Wow there's alot. We are staying at the WL in Dec. We will be in the honeymoon suite. We are having an intimate wedding. Our first trip to Disney together we stayed at the WL. Now we are getting married there and staying at the WL! Since I don't know that much, I was hoping I could get input about the honeymoon rooms. Any particular room #? Can you see the castle or MK fireworks from any of them? Help. Thanks so much. By the way I hope I posted this correctly. I'm definitely new posting.

The rooms (there are 4 of them) are really nice. All of them open out to the lobby and have private balconies. They also have vaulted ceilings, king size bed, and a jacuzzi tub. The rooms appear to be larger because they only have one large bed instead of two queens. There is also a table with chairs. I toured them last trip and really liked them.

Views....two rooms have a view of the Villas and parking lot and the other two have a view of the castle and parking/service area. I never did actually see the view on the north side (castle) from the balcony though as the room we toured was on the south side.

All four are on the 7th floor which is also the concierge floor so you have those amenities as well.

Enjoy!

Fred

floridafam...I'm really thinking about doing the WHOLE trip at WL CL...suite and an extra CL room.
Even though we often split our stays...I have to remember that we'll have mom and dad on this trip, and they're not used to all the moving around bit.

But, I was just thinking about my mom's recent hip replacement and she might still be having difficulties in June, so I'll more than likely will be doing the Scooter rental for her for the whole trip.

Even though we've stayed at WL three times, it's been almost 4 years since our last stay there!
(please DON't STONE me!;) )

I can NOT remember if we can load mom and her scooter on the boat to MK.

Does anyone have any answers about this?

Also....FloridaCat, I need to visit your thread on the CB!

They have a ramp to use for scooter loading if the water level is not just right!

how about the first floor?

I'm thinking it might be easier with two toddlers and a double stroller to eliminate the elevator altogether.

May be easier when at the pool too.

Opinions and experiences welcome!

Thanks in advance!

SpeechGuy--
We stayed in room 5073 this past Dec. 26-Jan. 3--great courtyard view of the lake and right over the lobby's beautifully decorated tree. The 24th and 25th we were in a woods view on the lobby and for the whole stay never felt the noise was out of hand. Could always just slightly hear the lobby music--but it's part of 'our experience.' We stayed in 5073 in Oct 2002 as well and just loved it. Fred's site has a couple of our balcony pictures is you'd like to see the view. Know you'll have a great time being at the Lodge!

Actually, the 2nd floor is ground level. We were on the 5th and we had a stroller. We found the elevators VERY fast. We hardly ever waited more than a minute. We were usually the only ones on the elevator, too. Plenty of room for a large stroller.
