The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

Oh how awesome. I bet that helped bring home how close we really are! :goodvibes

Yes it did! :woohoo: I wasn't even expecting it quite so soon, so it was a nice surprise!
It is cutting it VERY close but at least if I'm not 100% my kids are old enough to help Hubby get everything in order :thumbsup2

That's true. It's not like you have babies or toddlers to contend with. It will all be fine! :thumbsup2

Shelly- That is very exciting! Did you get your Celebrations magazine yesterday? I did, but haven't had a chance to look at it yet.
QOTD- I do unpack, because I like to feel at home. When we drive, which we are this time, I pack a lot of our stuff in a laundry basket and then use it to put dirty clothes in (man is it going to be nice to have a washer/dryer in our room!)

I didn't. I accidentally let my subscription expire. :upsidedow So I just recently renewed it, which will start with the November issue. And I purchased the current issue and they said it should come next week!

Are you making them for your kiddos too? When I showed them to mine and explained what they were for, they wanted me to get online right away and show them this forum. Once they looked around a bit, they were excited about the idea of meeting some of our group. :goodvibes

Yes, I made them a copy also. They would be very upset if I did not. They do not know about the Turkeys, it is a surprise trip. It is very hard trying not to tell them, but only 1 month and a few days to go :banana::banana:

:cool1::cool1: My Magical Express booklet and luggage tags came in the mail today!! :cool1::cool1:

I was just thinking about that today. Ours should be in very soon :dance3:

 Just ordered ebags today to go with the new luggage Im getting from my parents for an early Christmas present. I was dreading packing my large suitcase (20 years old with small metal wheels that only roll forward:headache:). We unpack whenever we travel, except at my parents:confused3...not sure why.:upsidedow

Does anyone else have the bed bug thing in the back of their mind? Its not so much a creepy bug thing as much as the issue of bringing them back home.:scared1:

I am! I am totally skeeved by the thought of them! Not to mention my friend is an exterminator and bed bug treatments start at $1,000! He said there is so much involved in getting rid of them. It makes me gag thinking about it!

The waiting is killing me...it doesnt help that DH is driving me nuts and asking me how many more days until WDW! He is acting like a kid :lmao:

QOTD: do you unpack or live out of a suitcase?

We always unpack. After reading on the DIS about some people using the bureau drawers as dirty clothes hampers, I bring Clorox wipes and swab 'em out before I put anything in.

Seems everytime I forget about them someone on tv mentions the darn bugger

I just hope I remember to check when we get to the room, and not be so excited I forget

QOTD - DH and I unpack, but the kids live out of their suitcases. The BWVillas have a laundry basket in the master BR closet and I put a load in when it gets full. LOVE having the washer/dryer in the villa!

Oh, and related to a previous discussion on our thread, I'm posting this from the iPod touch my family got me for my birthday yesterday. How cool is that?!?!
:banana::rotfl2::lmao:

OH! And I just saw that my ticker is ONE month, ONE week and ONE day!

YIPPEEEEE! :cheer2: :yay:

Both! I unpack DH's stuff and the kids stuff and it all fits into the dresser. I hang my shirts/dresses and my shorts & the rest of my stuff stay in the suitcase.

I just brought my suitcases upstairs!! :cool1:

Shelly do you leave tomorrow that you are packing today????:confused3:confused3:rotfl::lmao:

QOTD-
We unpack everything, then we put all the suitcases into each other and either take them to the van or put them in the corner. I agree, it makes me feel like I am home. Funny thing, Disney is the only place I unpack. When we visit family and stuff we don't unpack.

We unpack most things... hang up the shirts... have a over the door shoe holder for all of our "stuff"

:cool1::cool1: My Magical Express booklet and luggage tags came in the mail today!! :cool1::cool1:

We have two rooms... and one of our rooms Magical Express stuff came yesterday but not the other one!!!

Thats what Ive heard:scared1:

I really hadnt thought about it until reading reviews on the ebags, which were initially to feed my obsessive organization. :rotfl2: I dont quite know how Im going to keep the kids from plowing me over when we get to the room.:lmao:

So how do you check? Yuck, yuck, yuck

Just google bed bugs and there's lots of info on what to look for, where they hide and what they look like. There are some posts on the DIS about them too.

Check the sheet and mattress pad for black dots (poop) or red dots (blood from people) and check in along the seems of the mattress. I think the bugs themselves are about the size of an apple seed. And never ever put stuff on the floor like your luggage or clothes. You should keep your suitcases on the luggage rack. And if you wake up with any sorts of bites or itches don't just ignore it!! There was a post on here about a lady who thought she just got bit during the day and then scratched them and ended up with a staph infection. So moral of the story wash your hands, don't scratch and don't let the bed bugs bite lol!!!
