The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

How do you find out how busy the parks are going to be on a certain day? We are going to be at WDW from Nov 14th to Nov 19th. I really haven't decided which park to go to when. We have APs so we can split days and the only thing we really have to see is Fantasmic!, but I think it is only playing twice while we are there. We have no ADRs. Any suggestions?

Did someone mention heat??? I resisted all day from putting the a/c on but I just gave in as it hot hot hot, hopefully this will be the last time I have to use it this year.

I also noticed you guys talking about scents for the home today, a while back I ran across a thread on here about a company that produces the scents used in the various WDW resorts and thought it might be of interest to someone, I know I bookmarked the place mentioned for buying the scents for when I return home in November.

It was HOT here again today. My AC is still running this evening. :upsidedow But the high is to only be in the 60's tomorrow.

That is very cool about the scents! Thanks for the link! :goodvibes

Thanks for the scents link! Now I just wish the'y have the sweet smell they pump out of the ice cream shop on Main Street, that would be a nice smell around the house (although it would probably make me want to eat ice cream all the time!)

Yipee! I got a new phone :). I am typing this from my phone:cool1:

A little weird but pretty cool!

Yep, DS is asleep upstairs with his AC on! Too hot today. Looking forward to 60 on Saturday.

We love fall! I was checking out pumpkins & gourds on my drive north of Johnstown today! A little too early to get any right now since ours stay out until the weekend after Thanksgiving. By the way, if you coat them with vaseline, the kids can't steal them off of the porch :lmao::lmao:

We have made it thru most of the day here in Altoona with our AC off but by about 5pm the house is 85 and its still high 80's outside.. Had to turn the AC on but not as low as it was during the summer. This is nuts. Can't wait til tomorrow hope the weather is as promised.. cause 90 degrees today was well beyond wrong.

I am in Rochester, NY. Fall will be here in a couple of days though, thankfully. I LOVE fall, it's my favorite, then winter (love a good NY winter) then spring and in a very distant last place is summer. Only thing I truly love about it is having my kids home with me. :cloud9:
Yep, we are a bit north or east of you but same thing here. I am so ready for fall, only a couple more days!!!

Howdie neighbor... we are in Syracuse (well just a little north)... 90 degrees yesterday... and 60 today... love Central NY... my brother-in law lives in Pittsford... we were just over at U of R interviewing with my son... golf coach is recruiting him... today we are headed to Cornell... its nice that fall has finally arrived... although overnight the leaves in my yard tripled.. I love fall but not so much winter.. I hate driving in the snow...

I just looked at the crowd calendar... can't believe it is only 1-4 the whole week we are there... that is going to be amazing!!!!!

Yipee! I got a new phone :). I am typing this from my phone:cool1:

A little weird but pretty cool!

I love my iphone.... this past week I download the Mouse Memo app.... love it... all my trip information is in there... and I also have the WDW lines app... I run it by my daughter who is working in Animal Kingdom everyone in a while to see how close it is... works pretty well...

So Snowbirds... do any of you have one of those electronic reading devices.. like a nook or Kindle... I am thinking of buying one and need to get the low down on how they really work....

DH called from Afghanistan and in the course of the conversation asked of I had been doing any obsessive-compulsive Disney planning as I have been known to do in the past. I said no.

Now, I wonder if I lied.

I HAVEN'T made any changes to our plans at all, but I HAVE spent all of extra time (and some of my not-so extra time) on the DISboards reading and posting and getting ideas. So, my question to you my fellow November travelers, is did I lie? Do the DISboards count as obsessive-compulsive?

9 weeks or 63 days....which one sounds shorter? ;)

A few more days and touring plans will begin to show our dates and I can really put those plans into order!

60 Days... I can hardly stand it!!! What am I going to do with myself 'til we leave??? Seems like it's so close, but yet so far...:woohoo:

I have a Kindle and love it. It's not as flashy or colorful as an Ipad, but I have enough battery life to last me at least two weeks without recharging. I guess I can read it in the sun, but to be honest, I have not really tried this. I love the look of the Kindle being sold at Target, and it's a lot cheaper than when I bought mine.

Kindles are great, as they have access to so many titles at Amazon. I like being able to read something without broadcasting the book cover to everyone around me, as well. That way, I won't get embarrased while reading one of my silly vampire romance novels! (guilty pleasure) :rotfl:
