I'm not, but if you see a 6'2'', 300 pound guy and a fiesty just-turned 3yo girl ready to kill their wheelchair-using wife/mom for being a lunatic planner, that'll be us!
A Dismeet at the Rick Springfield concert sounds like fun to me.(We could all visit while we wait for the show.)
at your hubby and daughter. (My hubby is 6'2" also, but only about 235 lbs.) I'll be the one with the four kids and a look that says "Why did we do this again?" by that point
J/K! I tease the kids that I am going to leave them home, but reality is seeing their faces and experiencing all of it with them, is one of the biggest reasons I love to go. (Well that and I am an addict
)
Now come me and hubby's 15th wedding anni this coming March, they can forget it! We had our honeymoon (offsite) at Disney World and I want to go back for our 15th and do it all the way. (Deluxe everything!)
I want to see Rick Springfield, too!!!![]()

Although, I am seriously thinking of switching our Epcot day. Not into the crowds that F&W might bring. I don't mean the people, but the mass of PEOPLE. Any advice? I thought a Wednesday might not be too busy. We've always missed F&W before. I don't think it ran as late?? or we've just accidently missed it.
Thanks!
Michelle
Well come on along!! The more the merrier![]()
I am going away for a few days. I am actually taking my kids to another theme park other then Disney! First time for everything, I suppose! LOL We are going to Kings Island. First time since 1997! DH gets in free on Sunday and Monday. About time Kings Island finally decided to give a decent military discount. They have been very behind the loop!
But I thought of another QOTD from something we were talking about the past few days. So here ya go......
Question Of The Day.....
What family traditions do you have while vacationing at Walt Disney World?
Our traditions start with our drive down. We always stop at the FL Welcome Center and get OJ! Ohana is always our first day breakfast. We always go to MK on our first day. We always get a couple corn dog nuggets and fries from Caseys, a few dole whip floats from Aloha Isle and 2 cinnamon buns from the Main Street Bakery and have a mini picnic on Main Street while watching Spectro and Wishes. Tho is never really makes it to Wishes! lol We also always buy a bucket of popcorn in every park. Even if the buckets happen to be the same. We always get our picture made in front of all the icons. And while it is not a tradition I meant to start, I always take a picture of a Ostrichs butt while on the Safari. LOL And when we leave, we always wave goodbye and say see you soon to the come back again sign!
Have a fun and safe weekend everyone! And remember, if you see a soldier, tell him Thank You!

First of all, we are staying at the Polynesian Nov 18-26.This is our FIRST time to ever stay Deluxe & I'm the ONLY one in my family who knows!!!! We were going to have to do a split stay at the POP/CS, but now we're full-fledged Poly peeps.
We HAVE to see Wishes on our first night, where I cry like a big baby. (This year they will have MVMCP on our 1st night, so we will just watch it from the Poly beach!) We have other traditions, but they all involve food.![]()
Ya know, I am not that young. I will be 30 in a few days. But I have somehow missed the entire Rick Springfield era. I was alive. I know the song Jessies Girl. I just somehow don't remember it. When DH pointed out that it was the guy from General Hospital that sang Jessies Girl, I found it rather amusing.
Now, I could get on board with some Boyz 2 Men or Taylor Hicks!![]()
Quite Honestly I do not think our family ever had a yearly tradition other than going to MK first so that DS#2 could ride Splash Mountain and now that he is gone I guess you can say we plan on starting a new traditon with this trip.
While at the MK DH and myself plan on buying a balloon in MK and letting it go up to heaven to our beloved DS. This will be our first trip without him and in a way it is in memory of DS, since we always planned on going at Christmas time but never were able to due to industries DH and myself worked in and not being able to take the time off.
This trip is part of the healing process in our greaveing for our DS, WDW holds so many wonderful memories for us of the many vacations spent there over the years, at first we felt we could never return but then shortly after Christmas last year I felt the need to return and so we are.
The official DIS Rick Springfield Fan Club........I call President ! That means I get to go give him the dozen roses![]()

.Our family traditions:
Run to ride Buzz Lightyear as soon as we get to the MK.
DS15 & DD13 have to eat turkey legs.
We go to HDDR every trip. This is our newest tradition (just started in 2009)
We laugh hysterically as we are listening to my DH speak every word of the script and sing every song during the Carousel of Progress.
We buy a Christmas ornament for our tree.We do this one too! I forgot about that. It always makes us smile when we're putting up the Christmas tree!!
We always tell Cinderella goodbye on our last day.
Hello all:
my husband and I are doing a 3 day (MTW) Thanksgiving week to celebrate his 60th birthday which is that Monday.
We're new DVC members and *just* booked so we're at Saratoga Springs.
We'd love to join a Wishes cruise that evening (or T or W)...anyone with 2 seats available let me know!

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what we should do? This will be our wedding and start of our honeymoon, so I'm not looking to attack the parks and do every ride or anything of the sort. I'd like to do some fun, memorable things on our honeymoon.
Let the ideas roll in!![]()
