We are staying at the CBR!! :rotfl:
**********************************************
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what we should do? This will be our wedding and start of our honeymoon, so I'm not looking to attack the parks and do every ride or anything of the sort. I'd like to do some fun, memorable things on our honeymoon.

Let the ideas roll in!:dance3:

I don't blame you for wanting to take it easy on your honeymoon. My suggestions:

Spend an evening on a hammock by the lake at CBR watching IllumiNations. :lovestruc

Spend some time at the awesome CBR pool! :yay:

Go shopping at DTD!

Take your time strolling through World Showcase at Epcot. That's tough to do once you have kids. :rotfl: Maybe enjoy the F&W festival and take in a concert.

Hop on the monorail and tour all the deluxe resorts on it.

Definitely go to the Boardwalk area, have dinner and soak in the awesome atmosphere. :cloud9:

Take a trip to the Poly one evening and watch Wishes from the beach.

Hmm. . . that's all I have for now. I'm sure I'll think of more though!!

Any time a ride breaks... my dad is blamed.

The story with that is my first trip to WDW it seemed every ride we went on it broke (we even needed to walk off Living with the Land because it couldn't be fixed). There were five of us at the time, and the only ride not everyone went on was the Mexico ride (It was just my mom, my aunt and me). That brought it down to either my sister or my dad was the one breaking the rides... we blamed my dad.

When went back 4 years later, same people minus my sister, no ride broke... my dad did a "I told you it wasn't me" but we still blamed him.

To this day, when a ride breaks it's his fault, even though he has passed away. It's also my way of thinking he (and now my mom) are still with me when I go to WDW

Aw, that's an awesome tradition and memory.

We are going in November as well...11/4-11/14 and it is our 1st November trip. Our usual month is May (we just don't want to wait that long). I'm hoping for good weather and some discounts to come out on room rates...as of now we are renting a home in Windsor Hills but we like to spend a few nites in a Disney resort, haven't booked anything yet.

Hi, made a couple of changes to our ressie. Please change our dates to Nov 7-13 and our resort to OKW. thanks!!!

That was just the most lovely story ever :goodvibes

Since Px4 is at Kings Island I will post a question of the day. I hope no one minds.

Question of the Day....What is your favorite quote from a theme park attraction?

Mine comes from Muppet Vision 3-D at DHS.

Kermit the Frog: We will also see a rousing finale from Sam the Eagle. What's it called, Sam?
Sam the Eagle: It's called "A Salute to All Nations, But Mostly America".

My DH's impersonation of Sam the Eagle cracks us up. He uses this phrase whenever our children ask a silly question.

The first one that comes to mind is "We wants the Redhead" from Pirates of the Caribbean pirate:

First of all, we are staying at the Polynesian Nov 18-26. This is our FIRST time to ever stay Deluxe & I'm the ONLY one in my family who knows!!!! We were going to have to do a split stay at the POP/CS, but now we're full-fledged Poly peeps. :cheer2:

I'm soooo excited for you! You will LOVE the Polynesian. This November (14-21...maybe we'll see you!) will be our fourth stay there...we've been lucky enough to get great discounts each time. It is so beautiful and relaxing, and the monorail saves hours of travel time over the course of your stay.

I don't think I could keep that secret for long. When are you going to tell the rest of the family?

 We are going to November for a very short trip:sad1: The last few trips have been 10 days, this trip will only be only for 4 nights. We are going from 11/10 - 11/14 stay @ AKL on ou new DVC points:woohoo:

Dh is a :teacher: so our vacation time is limited. Since he has veterans day off he would only need to miss one day of work

We are planning MVMCP one night, but will the hotels be be decorated that early? We have never been in November so I can't wait to go.

Welcome to the November Group!

From everything I have read (been researching DIS and other venues for info) I have my fingers crossed for the resorts being decorated but not counting on it. I have read that BW is one of the first they do and they are all done by Thanksgiving . Maybe someone here has stayed at AKL before during November and can tell us ?:confused3

My friend has a daughter with red hair and after she heard, "we wants the Redhead," she looked at her mom and said with huge eyes, "they want ME?":goodvibes

We will be down at the same time. :woohoo:Are you staying at Jambo or Kidani? We will be at Kidani for the first time but we do love the Jambo House.

I saw you mentioned you are eating at LTT Merry Dinner. What is that? We are going MVMCP on 11/11 and not arriving until 4pm so Dh doesn't want to waste time eating, but if it is something special maybe I can convince him.

We are staying in Jambo and I can't wait. I stayed there before Kidani was built but it will be a first time at AKL for DH,DS and Ddil.

As for the dinner I am not really sure if it is any different or not I am thinking maybe they have charactors for the parade nights? :confused3
We had planned on eating at Boma's before heading over to the MVMCP but changed our minds. We don't have no lil ones so we plan on eating during the 1st parade depending on the timelyness of service we might finish by time it starts, who knows, our ressie is for 7:30pm and the 1st parade last year was at 8:15 :rotfl:
As long as I am there to see them turn the lights on at the Castle, see the parade(2nd) and see the fireworks I will be happy :santa:

Awesome QOTD!! :goodvibes

First thing that comes to mind -- "Soarin to tower, we are ready for take off!" :cloud9:

But the kids do love it in Muppet 3D when they the one guy says something like -- "This scene is so moving" and the other one says -- "Yeah, I wish they'd move it to Pittsburgh!" :rotfl: I guess it's funny because we live near Pittsburgh! :lmao:

WELCOME!! :cool1:

The hotels will likely not be decorated by then. We were there last year Nov 7-15 and they weren't decorated yet. Other than the gingerbread house at the GF was in progress. We were told that the resort decorations would start going up the week before Thanksgiving and would be fully done by Thanksgiving.

The parks were all decorated though! :santa:
