Awesome QOTD!! :goodvibes

First thing that comes to mind -- "Soarin to tower, we are ready for take off!" :cloud9:

But the kids do love it in Muppet 3D when they the one guy says something like -- "This scene is so moving" and the other one says -- "Yeah, I wish they'd move it to Pittsburgh!" :rotfl: I guess it's funny because we live near Pittsburgh! :lmao:

As a former Yinzer, I totally agree! I always got a kick out of that too. And in Apollo 13, when the NASA guy says the networks thought going to the moon was as exciting as a trip to Pgh, I'm always like "hey, that's one of my favorite places to go!" I'm a Louisiana native though, so our family always gets a kick out of Slinky Dog saying his butt is going to Baton Rouge in the luggage scene of TS2.

Now, back to my favorite attraction quote....I dunno, I guess the sap in me has always liked the sentiment of Carousel of Progress: "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day."

-----------

It's been Disney movie weekend here at our house. My birthday was at the beginning of the month, and I got the email from Disney Movie Rewards offering me a free Blu-Ray. Don't have a Blu-Ray player, but still sent away for Meet the Robinsons, which arrived this week. Took it to the store to exchange it, but the MtR DVD was out of stock. Gave DD the choice between Finding Nemo and The Incredibles, she chose Nemo. Also got a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD with the rest of the return credit.

Then, I had also recently signed up to join the Disney Movie Club. Seven movies for twenty bucks was too good a deal to pass up, esp. since I'd be buying the remaining three over the next two years anyway. Those came in yesterday as well, so we also now have A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, The Rescuers, and Oliver and Company. Whew! Several of them have been watched already, and I think I'll save the rest for our road trip to Houston next weekend. It's about a 5 hour drive, and we're just going there on Saturday and back on Sunday for my cousin's daughter's graduation.

Happy Memorial Day, everyone!

Good Luck to everyone making ADRs.

Happy Memorial Day!

I will remember my father today who served in the Navy. He died when my oldest was 3 months old. I do try my best to share stories of him with my 3 children so they will have some idea of who their grandfather was.

Question of the Day....Who is the most memorable veteran in your life?

Question of the Day....Who is the most memorable veteran in your life?[/QUOTE]

That would have to be a young man who grew up in my neighborhood, he was the older brother of one of the kids we all hung out with anyway you know how when your young everyone in your neighborhood had a nickname well this kids name was Prune Face, yes cruel but he was the first to come down with acne, just so happened he was one of the first to go to vietnam that year, and he was rumored to be the first to die in Vietnam, not by enemy fire but he was struck by lightening atop a tower or something :scared1:
I still remember the day I heard about it, a group of kids came running yelling hey did you hear about Prune Face?
I think about him often during and electrical storm and what a waste of human life war is.

Remember the Men and Women who have given so selfishly of themselves to defend Our Great Country.

Do they ever do Spectr on a party night?

I'm trying to decide between 11/8, 11/11 or 11/12. But I do don't want to be at MK on another Spectro night, they always seem too crowded.

Happy Memorial Day!
Question of the Day....Who is the most memorable veteran in your life?

My father who served overseas in WWII. Wished I would have asked him more about it but he always seemed reluctant to talk about it.

Well--I somewhere had it in my head that it's TS:confused3.
It's suppose to open somewhere around F&W -late Sept if they get it done.
But no matter which it is -I will be there!:thumbsup2

I'mmmmmm Backkkkkkkk! I now remember why we have only gone to Disney and not your typical amusement parks in the last 10 year. Not that we didn't have fun. And it wasn't even insanely crowded, its just that there isn't alot to do for a kid who doesn't care much for rides. And Wowzer, was it ever expensive! $3.75 for a 16oz water! Disney doesn't even charge that much! One thing I did love that KI did that Disney doesn't, when you first walk in they have a place for kids to be measured and get a wrist band for their height. That was they didn't have to be measured a bazillion times throughout the park. My 10year old is 66 in! I am 65! She had them measure just to prove she was taller! As I needed more of bruise to my shortness issues... Ugh! Anyways, on to my QOTD responses, then I will be back later (or tomorrow) to comment on other stuff... lol

Favorite Quote

My favorite quote is no longer there.... Paging Mr Marrow, Mr Tom Marrow! :sad2:

Most Memorable Vet

Well, that would be my DH ofcoarse. He has been in the Army for our entire marriage. He is now in the Reserves, but he plans to retire from the Army. But just because he is my favorite, doesn't mean that many others haven't touched my heart. One of our best friends, who was actually at the birth of our first DD was KIA on Dec 24, 2004. And on DH 2nd deployment to Iraq, they lost 2 soldier in the first 3 days -before they even made it to their FOB. One, DH had taken under his wing. He was DH soldier, he turned 19 the day before he was KIA. Just married and freshly out of basic and AIT.

Everyday in my life I remember to thank a soldier. Everyday in our house is Memorial Day! God Bless Our Troops - Past, Present and Future!

I had been planning on booking a ressie for the new Pizzaria in Italy myself when they become available and I thought I too had read it was to be a TS. According to this link below it is to be a 300 seat Restaurant.

That's pretty much what I think every time we go on any little trips that aren't Disney. Not that I have a bad time. . . I just come back thinking -- why didn't I just save that money for WDW. . . And you are right, things like a bottle of water cost way more than Disney!!

Hi all,

Planning our honeymoon for beginning of November now at POR. This will be my 4th time down to the park and my DFi's 2nd, all of the previous were at value resorts, so we're excited for POR. Taking full advantage of the premium plan with two rounds of golf (hoping it's not too crowded due to the PGA tournament happening down there...), Cirque tickets, carriage ride, bike rental, mini-golf...not to mention the ridiculous amount of food we will be consuming. We even have a day of Universal Studios planned. Let me know if you have any ideas for a honeymoon, our restaurants or just to make it a great vacation!

Breakfast:
1900 Park Fare

Donald's Safari Breakfast
