Just wanted to pop in and

I am still reading along... still not sure what I am doing regarding the phm. You all are so supportive though, that I had to let you all know I am still here. Your stories and encouragement help me to push forward.
I am so sorry that so many are dealing with pain. I swear it always seems like there is some kinda of pain I am chasing too. It is frustrating. Currently, I have some sort of pain that is better if I stretch... but just hasn't gone away completely. Maybe I need a roller...maybe I will stop by my local running store
I had a couple not so great weeks in training (although, what am I training for?

but we will say training none the less) I went to Vegas for a wedding..didn't skip my run days, but OMG! my lungs did so hate that place...and it made it very hard for me to run. I ran on a treadmill there for the first time and decided what I already suspected - I don't like running on treadmills.
Last week I was not feeling well and my pace was horrible...I struggled to get the miles in, but still came in over 10 for the week. I was feeling a bit discouraged. My 5 mile run on saturday was my worst pace in a long time. Fast forward to yesterday and despite the pain in my...well, my rear and down the back side of that leg... I managed to shave off almost a full minute in my pace. (a couple seconds shy per mile) Not only was I super excited to do that..but it was the first time I ran under a 10 min mile pace. Now... granted, it was only a distance of a little over 3 miles (a 5k) compared to the 5 miles on Sat.... but still!!!
I am hoping yesterday wasn't just some weird fluke and that tomorrow will also be a good run... Then on sat I have a fun 5k I am doing with a couple of my kids. I tried to get the whole family to commit to it...but the best I could do was get them to say they would come to the pancake feed that follows the race. My goal for it will be to have fun...and then eat pancakes.

But if I am honest, I am also hoping that I don't come in almost last. It would be nice to not see my name on the last page with only one or two people behind me (ok, so the last 10k I had 6 people finish behind me...but I finished it in 1:06)
Anyway... just wanted to share what has been going on with me. Good luck to everyone in their training!!!
