That's where I'm going to try to get an ADR too. I think I can try this Sunday to make the reservation.

I don't have a Plan B either.

Holly

Count me in for trying for BoG too...also should be able to start booking on sunday...if my math hasn't failed me. We're staying a few days after the race too, so if you other Princesses beat me to a table there on race day, I'm still hopeful for one of my other days!

And while we're on the subject...since online ADR's opened up today for BoG, I was just going to try for mine online. If Sunday is in fact my 180 day, then can I book online starting at midnight as the night turns over to sunday, or do I have to wait for a certain time on sunday? Of all the ADR's I've made, I've never run into this yet! I guess I've never booked something that needed to be done so far in advance...the one time we had dinner in the castle, it was really more of an afterthought, and I got in like a month out from our trip, which surprised me!

Found this:

For the online Dining System, the new day starts at 6:00 a.m. (and sometimes a bit earlier), a one hour jump on those using the phone system. Diners using the online system should be able to get some of the more coveted reservations before Disney Dining's phone lines open.

I assume thats EST 6am. HTH!

OK thanks!! Yeah, I'd assume that's EST too, so looks like I'll be getting up at 5am sunday :crazy2:

I work at 5am on Sunday, so I'll be there with ya online! May we all get the adrs we want!

Hoping for an ADR at the Be Our Guest Restaurant for dinner. If not there I am not sure what is second on my list. I need to get on that this weekend.

I'm trying to get one too. If I can't get one for dinner I guess we will just have to go there for lunch. I believe ADR's are not needed for lunch .

I'm trying for BoG too, though I may just try to do that for lunch.

I think we're trying for BoG the evening before the race, and Ohana's for the celebration dinner.

:thumbsup2 Yep. Ohana's is my faaavvvooorrriitteeee. Bread Pudding. Yummmmm! I will earn seconds of that bad boy!

This is only my 2nd choice because I LOOOOVE Beauty & the Beast and must get to BoG. I love that bread pudding too!

Le Cellier in Canada is a GREAT choice for a post-run feast - steak and beer, to replenish all the carbs and protein in your system!

With all this shoe-buying talk, I just stumbled across a Groupon for Shoebuy.com that is only $20 for a $40 voucher! Of course, the only model they have of my shoe is in men's :headache: but hopefully this could help someone else. It's under Atlanta deals, but since it's online, anyone can get in on it! It's also good for a whole year, so you could wait and combine it with a sale!

Great job on the run!!Do you remember where (what state) the Great Pumpkin 10k was?

OMG!! I can't believe it! Some People just disgust me! You go girl!!

I did the Lowell 10k last year on Thanksgiving Day, I also saw the devils chase 666 and was thinking about signing up for that this year to use as my 10k time. As I am sure The Rockfest will not be a time that I will want to use either. There is also Tufts 10k in Boston on Columbus day which is a Monday
I also did the Lowell 10K last Thanksgiving--it was fun! Not too many hills, but the course is a bit long. It was COOOOLD. Brr! If we're in town this Thanksgiving, I may do it again, but for now I am riding my 58 min 10K time from the Provincetown 10K this summer. I would like to do a (reasonably) local 10K sometime later this fall-- maybe in late Oct/ early Nov, as I have the DL 1/2 in about 10 days and the TOT 10mi a month later. Would love to hear any additional suggestions!

*grumbles* That's what I was thinking. I really really really don't want to have to buy 2 freaking pairs of shoes just to toss 2 of the 4 shoes. :sad1: My small foot is an 8.5 and my big foot is a 9.5. The 10s just did NOT work for my small foot. Right now the 9.5s are working fine, but I'm sure that won't last. Darn feet. $100 for shoes is bad enough, but $200 is hard to stomach.
Does Nordstrom's carry those shoes? (They carry some running shoes.) They will let you buy a pair where each shoe is a different size.

Has anyone ever done the breakfast after the family 5K? It says that there are characters there, but does anyone know who they usually are? Is it worth it?

I think this is new. I don't remember seeing it the past 2 years anyway

I just received word from my Dad as long as he's still on project for Saudi. Princess will be a go! My trainer can complain all she wants I'm running the 5th annual princess half next February! :woohoo:

It will be February. Even if it's Florida, it will still be cold-ish. Orlando's average February low is 52. The sun won't be out. There have been years when we've gone down into the 20's at night. I don't think you'll want your belly exposed.

Do you see where she's from? 52 is swimming weather for us up north. :lmao:

Ha ha, I had to look up what 52 F is in Celsius -- 11 degrees? No problem at all! Vancouver is fairly mild compared to other parts of Canada, but I'm used to running in all sorts of weather. (Of course, I also grew up further north where -40 C temperatures were a common occurrence in February...)

I'll definitely have a Plan B running top and something that I can use to keep warm and then toss at the start line... but Plan A is to be a fierce belly-baring Princess! :)

Okay, odd question for those more experienced.... when I got fit for my shoes 2 years ago, I went to a running store and they put me in Brooks Ravennas - 1.5 sizes bigger than my regular shoe. That's fine - I get that running shoe sizing is different.

Mine are 1 size larger. I am a 5 in regular shoes and a 6 in running shoes. When I got fitted he did want to know how long of a distance I was training for because he said it would make a difference in terms of what my feet would do as the distance increases. So far I love them. I had some slight arch pain but I relaced them and it made a huge difference

:goodvibes HI
I will be running in my 1st Disney race and my 1st half. I ran the color run here in philly and was hooked!!! There will be a group of nurses comming to run with me. Im gonna try and stay at Ft Wilderness since Im comming down for the Daytona 500 and Ill have my 5th wheel there already!!

Welcome!!!

We are trying for Narcossee's to celebrate. :cool1:

Did you see the Devils Chase 6.66 mile race in Salem that Holly posted? It's Oct. 27th, I think. :)

I signed up yesterday for it. I'm going to try to make a dark red sparkly skirt and find some devil horns to wear. I figure the horns might good practice if I decide to run the Princess with a tiara. Hope to see some of you ladies there.

I really need to get back to training again. I fear I may be walking a good portion of the Rockfest Half next month.
