SOMEBODY IS A YEAR OLD TODAY!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :cloud9:

Hi All

Bec - Love the xmas pictures - she is beautiful!!

Ash -- Happy B-Day Ellery -- she looks so happy eating her cake. Sounds like a great party!

Denise -- Happy B-Day Mo -- a year sure goes by fast huh?

Disneygirl -- Spencer is adorable - Disney looked great.

DMickey - love his haircut - boy he is getting big! He looks like a little kid now!

Hi to everyone I missed! Hope everyone is well.

**************
So-- you may remember about 6 weeks ago I posted a picture of Izzy's weird tooth and we took her to a dentist and he said the tooth was malformed. She had her follow up appt today and the Dentist says we need to yank the tooth!!!! He said that the pulpy part of the tooth is exposed which will lead to an infection and could damage her permanent tooth - so its coming out -- on December 17th.

We are doing local anesthesia -- we could do general but the dentist was advising against putting someone so young completely out - he thought numbing it with local would be better. My DH and I are going to have to hold her down though while she gets the needle and he extracts the tooth -- she is going to freak out and scream and cry - which will make me cry. Ugh.

Poor little Izzy -- now she will have a big space where her front tooth used to be. I am so sad!

-Nicole

Happy 1st Birthday Ellery & Mo!!! :dance3:

Becky - too funny that they both pee in the tub right after not peeing in the toilet!

Nicole - poor Izzy - I hope everything goes well when she has her tooth pulled!

Villain-lover - great holiday pics - you are so lucky to get 2 toddlers to participate for the pictures and smile!

Alex has had the worst diaper rash for the last few days. Tuesday night he was walking around with his legs spread apart and grabbing the diaper yelling, "Owwwwwwwwch!" It was so pitiful. I threw out the A&D we had been using b/c I think it was making it worse and bought more Butt Paste. It seems to be getting better, but it's still pretty red (DH has been calling him Baboon Butt").

Do I need to take him to the doctor for this? I worry since we are leaving in less than a week and I want him to be all better for the trip, but I don't know if there is even anything they could do besides what we are already doing. :confused3 Does anyone know?

haha, someone stole my words ----Carla- HOLY COW!!! #3? what a miracle. Is this pregnancy any easier on you than 1 or 2 with the hypermesis? I remember how miserable you were with #1 on the TTC thread etc. I can't believe just a few years ago I was watching you post about TTC and now you are going to have 3 kids!!! :goodvibes :banana: :cloud9: I wish they could figure out how to turn on the fountain for me- then i could shut it off after #2! lol :laughing: The girls are adorable and I hope you have a good pregnancy, as good as it can be for you- i know you have a hard time, probably the roughest pregnancies I have ever heard about. and you will have 3 under your belt- you must be a saint! :cutie: Great to hear from you!!!
Hi, everyone! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Things are nuts here.....

Long story short.....I'm pregnant again. I was using birth control that failed me miserably (go figure THAT one - DH says I need to call my RE and tell her to turn off the switch).

Kate is 17mo and a walking/talking bundle of energy. Thankfully, she sleeps at night (8:30pm-7am), but she doesn't nap. :scared: It makes for a LOOOONG day. Cassidy is 6mo and becoming more mobile and she found her voice - which she loves to show off. She hates to sleep. I knew it was too good to be true since she slept through the night from the day we brought her home. Recently, she's decided that's not much fun and is up 2-3x a night. :scared1: We're pretty tired over here!

#3 is due June 3rd, but I'll be induced at 39wks. I'm already having a variety of problems - high BP, 3 medications to keep me from hurling all day, and my 12wk u/s showed contractions already. Blah. But, the baby looks great, so that's all I can ask.

I can't believe all the babies are walking and growing up so fast! Seems like yesterday we were all TTC these kids!

Here's a recent pic of the girls together....they just love each other and it's really cute to see them together.

Becky- i've used Potrait Innovations twice now. The first time was his 3 month pics and they did awesome. I went on a weekday am, first appt and the guy spent a lot of time with me customizing borders etc. The second time, i had a horrible person- he didn't have any ideas on props or positions and I had to come up with all the ideas, which I hated, I mean i was paying them to have cute ideas and he didn't. So i think it depends on the photographer you get. I do like being able to buy the CD of course.

we had a great turkey day- we didn't do anything on Thanksgiving itself, we actually ate out! Did turkey with my mom and family on Friday and then the inlaws in Oklahoma on Saturday. Will enjoyed time with his cousins. I updated his blog with some pics. I am so swamped at work, so i rarely have time to get on here as much anymore, but I will try and pop in, i love seeing all the kids pics and how big they are!

Ash- Ellery's pics are great- I hope her bday was a big success.

Denise- I hope you have a great time with Mo's zoo trip this weekend. yeah for him walking!

Well it took a year, but finally, here's a family picture of me, hubby, and Mo! :goodvibes

I LOVE this one...Mo and daddy looking at each other! :love:

Happy Belated Birthday MO!!! I can't believe it's been a year.

Pollito - I use A&D on Alexander's diaper rashes. He gets pretty bad ones when he gets them ... to the point where he gets open sores and stuff. I use a combo of the A&D and antibiotic ointment on the open spots. The best thing to do for him is let him be naked as much as possible. Even just 20 minutes after a bath really helps. I notice with the "open air time" and a THICK coating of A&D at night makes it go away pretty fast. He gets mean ones as well with bumps and stuff ... poor kid. He's actually just healing from a little sore, the come out of nowhere.

Nicole- :hug: to you and Izzy. Poor little thing! And poor mommy- I know it's worse on you than it will be on her.

Pollito- I agree with DMickey on the naked time. Let his little rear "breathe" a bit each day. Porr little guy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have had two heinous days at work in a row. Crazy busy can't stop and breathe type days.
And we were supposed to go Christmas shopping (someone finally volunteered to watch Vaylie!) BUT DH is sick. :headache: I just want to get out of my dirty house and relax and shop a little. :sad: I don't really want to go by myself, but I might do it anyway. Just to take a break.
It's a den of sickness and clutter and dirty dishes and laundry here. And I'm just aggravated.
Happy Belated Birthdays!!!
Great pictures everyone! I am impressed with the kids that will sit still. We haven't done professional pictures yet, because Spencer hates to sit still.
Pollito, I agree to let his skin breathe. I prefer Desitin to A&D. It has no smell unlike A&D, plus it comes in a clear version too.
We went to AK today. Spencer did NOT like FOTLK. When they started warming up the audience, he started to cry (I am assuming he didn't like the loud noise) he calmed down, but started again when the singers came out, so we left. He did like looking at the animals though and liked KS until he fell asleep. The Safari was all we rode; we were going to Triceratop Spin, but decided aginst it because he was sleeping. It is SO different taking him to WDW, but I love it!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Hey ladies..I need help, especially from those of you who have kids that just turned one. What is your schedule like during the day? Are you still on two naps? Sam & Zoe seem to want to sleep later, so I am having trouble fitting everything in (meals, snacks, two naps) and still be able to get out of here during the day. Should I just shorted the morning nap and hope that they eventually drop it? We have also just started letting the twins feed themselves basically for meals. I feed them yougurt and stuff like that, but meals are pretty much finger foods now. I am just having trouble figuring it all out!
Hey Meredith
Izzy has self regulated herself to ONE nap a day -- usually about 1.5 - 2 hours long -- generally taken after lunch time (around 1230 or so).
I sometimes wish it was still 2 naps but we are getting used to the new schedule.
Sometimes on a weekend or when she's crabby/under the weather there are still 2 naps.
But our general schedule is this
*Up at 730am
*Breakfast, dress
*Play until about 930 or 1000
*Snack and a sippy cup of milk
*Play until about 1130 or so
*Lunch
*Nap around 1230-230
*Up from nap with a snack and milk
*Play till about 500pm
*Hangs out in kitchen with a light snack while we make dinner
*Dinner till about 6 or 630pm (we are trying to teach her to "hang out" at the table
*Quiet play - story time till about 7pm
*Change in PJs
*Bottle and we aim for bed by 730pm
Glad to hear the twins are eating finger foods!!
Hi to all.
Nicole
Pollito - I use A&D on Alexander's diaper rashes. He gets pretty bad ones when he gets them ... to the point where he gets open sores and stuff.
So this is kind of normal? Alex has never had a diaper rash that lasts more than a couple of days before, and never had one that is so bad, or with open sores. I was just starting to think I need to take him to the doctor. It's mostly better, except the very center, which is red with raised white bumps. I'm just not sure, since we leave early Wed, I'd rather be safe than sorry. We certainly don't want to waste any WDW time at a doctors - better to spend real world time there!
I'll see if I can let him go diaperless for a little while today while we're at home. I hesitate though since I've been keeping the butt paste on pretty thick.
I have had two heinous days at work in a row. Crazy busy can't stop and breathe type days.
It's a den of sickness and clutter and dirty dishes and laundry here. And I'm just aggravated.
Sorry you're having such a tough time right now! :hug: We've all had those days and they will pass! I had a couple of busy days like that at work last week too, like so busy I didn't take a bathroom break!
We went to AK today. Spencer did NOT like FOTLK.
That's too bad about FOTLK, that's one of my favorite shows! I hope Alex likes it next week!
Hey ladies..I need help, especially from those of you who have kids that just turned one. What is your schedule like during the day? Are you still on two naps? Sam & Zoe seem to want to sleep later, so I am having trouble fitting everything in (meals, snacks, two naps) and still be able to get out of here during the day.
When Alex was one, he was still taking 2 naps most days, and did not drop the morning one until around 18 months. I didn't worry as much about keeping him on a tight schedule, just fit everything in when I could. I still gave him a cup of milk in the morning when he woke up, in place of a bottle, then we would run errands if we had any while he ate cheerios or Gerber puffs. Then we would come back and take a nap around 10, have lunch when he woke up around 12 or 1, play or go out (snack during that), then come back and nap around 3 or 4 until 5 or 6. Then we would have dinner, bath, reading, and go to bed around 8.
I started realizing that he would let me know when he was hungry and stop trying to force him to eat at certain times. Half the time when I tried to sit him down for a meal, he would take one bite and be done, so I would stopped pushing it and just offered him food whenever I ate. If he wanted it fine, if not, fine. Now he can tell me when he's hungry, so that part is easier at least. :thumbsup2
3 MORE DAYS TIL DISNEY WORLD!!! :banana: :banana: :banana:
Had a GREAT time at the zoo today! 56 degrees and sunny, but felt great. Only two of my friends showed up...3 others said they would, but the ones who came I knew they would and it was a lot of fun! One of the babysitters came too...Grammy...and she really enjoyed herself!
Mo didn't care too much for his cake...too sweet for him, but I got a good pic of his fingers in it!
Here's the cake I made!
I forgot this one...Mo touching the goat in the petting zoo, it tried to gnaw my son's hand afterwards! :scared1: But it was all good, I used to work there, I know how their minds work...they just want food...and one of them though my sweater was! :rotfl2:
Hi ladies!!! Long time no talk! ;) No real reason for my absence...other than I haven't been on the computer all that much (other to check email and update my blog) and have been busy with my crazy toddler!! :laughing:
Denise - I still can't believe Mo is already 1 year old!!! He is so cute and looks like such a little man. His day at the zoo looked like fun!
Pollito - I am so excited for you and your Disney trip with Alex!!!! Take tons and tons of pics (which I am sure you will do anyway) so we can see them!!! You guys will have such an AWESOME time....I can't wait to hear all about it! Remind me again....where are you staying? When exactly are you going? About Alex's bum rash....Butt Paste always works best for me. I know my girlfriends son had a bad rash once, and it ended up being yeast and she needed special ointment and cream. So going to the ped may not be a bad idea....especially with your vaca coming up soon!
Meredith - Brady is going to turn 16 months old this week and we are just kinda dropping that second nap. The problem is that he still is very tired in the am (around 10ish when he used to nap), but if he takes the am nap - he usually won't take a pm nap now....and going from noon until bedtime is just waaaaaaaaay too long for him. From 3pm until bedtime is usually a horror-show at my house when he naps only in the morning! :laughing: So, I am trying to hold him off to take a nap after lunch (from 12:30ish until 2:30ish). That way the day is more evenly split-up (if that makes sense?). It's still day-to-day....today he slept from 10:30am until 1:30 and no afternoon nap. So we will see....I am a very "routine-oriented" person, so this nap-limbo thing is killing me!! I'll be glad when he consistently does a specific time again! :thumbsup2
Carla - Great to see you on here again! And CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :yay: :yay: I am so happy for you and #3! Your girls look so cute...it feels like yesterday that you were TTC Kate...gosh how time flies!
Nicole - Poor little Izzy and her tooth! At least the problem will be resolved and you won't have to worry about infection or anything. Hopefully it will go smoothly and quickly!!
Becky - Sorry to hear about all the sickness...that is NO FUN! :hug: Hopefully things will get better soon and you can get out there and do some shopping!!
Just thought I would share Brady's Christmas pics we used for our Christmas cards! I actually brought him to The Picture People this past Thursday, but none of them came out that great and I just couldn't let myself spend $35/set of 25 cards (and I usually send out about 70!) for just an ok picture. When we got home, I put him in front of the tree and got some cute ones and made my own on Snapfish!! Here are a few of them...
Denise- Great pics of Mo! Glad he had a great birthday party!
Kelly- Love those pics of Brady in front of the tree!
I haven't made any Christmas cards yet. I guess I've been too depressed. I finally got my tree up today so maybe I'll still make some.
