Have fun! I don't start planning Mo's til next Friday myself. His birthday is Thursday, but we're going to the zoo on Sunday. So far, the weather is looking good. Mid to high 60s for the day and no rain. :cool1: What happened to our babies Ash??!! They're walking, getting in to everything, and will both be a year old next week. Yours on Wed, mine on Thurs. Amazing isn't it? :goodvibes

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

I remember seeing you guys mention kids cd's and artists that do kids songs. Can you recommend any? I am making up DS's Christmas list for family and thought some of those would be neat!! Thanks!

Hi, everyone! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Things are nuts here.....

Long story short.....I'm pregnant again. I was using birth control that failed me miserably (go figure THAT one - DH says I need to call my RE and tell her to turn off the switch).

Kate is 17mo and a walking/talking bundle of energy. Thankfully, she sleeps at night (8:30pm-7am), but she doesn't nap. :scared: It makes for a LOOOONG day. Cassidy is 6mo and becoming more mobile and she found her voice - which she loves to show off. She hates to sleep. I knew it was too good to be true since she slept through the night from the day we brought her home. Recently, she's decided that's not much fun and is up 2-3x a night. :scared1: We're pretty tired over here!

#3 is due June 3rd, but I'll be induced at 39wks. I'm already having a variety of problems - high BP, 3 medications to keep me from hurling all day, and my 12wk u/s showed contractions already. Blah. But, the baby looks great, so that's all I can ask.

I can't believe all the babies are walking and growing up so fast! Seems like yesterday we were all TTC these kids!

Here's a recent pic of the girls together....they just love each other and it's really cute to see them together.

Carla - Holy cow, #3! Congrats! They're adorable, by the way. Your house must just be a bundle of energy!

DMickey - I keep wondering how it is that their hair grows so darn fast! I feel like Christopher is in for a haircut every 6 weeks or so. DH got his aunt to cut it today so we can go get his picture taken with Santa tomorrow. Kittery Trading Post does an awesome picture with Santa thing, so we're taking him and his cousins to get them done.

I can't believe how many of our kids are up and walking! We're all going to be in great shape chasing them around...

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? Christopher loved it. He ate more than most of the adults, and probably would have kept going if we hadn't let him down to run around for a while. Apparently we should have fed him cranberry relish long before now :)

CARLA .... OMG!!! Congratulation!! Amazing how things are huh? Did you ever think 2 years ago it would turn out like this???? I am so happy for you. The girls are beautiful. I love how the little one is looking up at her big sister!!! Please stick around and visit when you get a chance.

Jen - Alexander is a Piggy as well. He chows down when he likes something. Unfortunately his favorite right now is Mac and Cheese and we can't really get him to eat much of anything else for dinner. We didn't have turkey but I am sure he wouldn't have eaten much, he won't even eat chicken or chicken fingers anymore!!

Boy, it feels like forever since I was able to check in with you all! DH's insane work schedule has meant that I've had a lot more to do, too. I don't think I realized how much we shared responsibilities with things. Not just dishes, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and taking care of Owen, but family and friends stuff, too. It's felt like I've been going non-stop from the moment Owen wakes up until I finally can go to bed each night. Fortunately, he's been able to ease up a bit yesterday and today, and has been working from home. He's been having to check in with the offices in India, Hong Kong, and Belgium 2 or 3 times a day, but said that so far things aren't a complete disaster, so he thinks he can stay out of it until Monday morning. ;)

Owen is majorly teething - he had one pop through last week, and so far has had 3 come though this week. Between that pain and the runny nose, he's not been sleeping well, so I've been getting up with him a couple times a night. Fortunately, infant motrin seems to help him the most, so we've been giving him that for naps and night time. Child is gnawing on everything...and is obsessed with trying to chew on my knee! :rotfl: I swear he's trying to sneak up to me sometimes, and I'll look down and there he is with his mouth clamped on my kneecap, gnawing away and looking up at me hopefully. :lmao:

I've managed to get about 90% of our Christmas shopping done, and did most of it online this year. We have to mail gifts to all of my family this year, and Brendan's dad's family Christmas party is 2 weeks before Christmas so I'm trying to be ready to get this all done on time, plus plan Owen's birthday party and keep the house running while DH works like a maniac. Oh, and we're getting rid of half of the furniture in our living room, so I'm trying to work out the delicate family negotiations - does anyone want the family piano, because we have the smallest house and we can't keep it anymore, and if no one wants it, can we sell it on craigslist or will that cause issues...etc.

Okay, so now I'm going to go back through and catch up on everyone's news...I've missed you ladies! :goodvibes

Hi Bethany! Welcome back :) I'm loving the online shopping myself. I got my dad's present, as well as my father in laws, without actually leaving work. It's brilliant!

Long story short.....I'm pregnant again.

:rotfl: Carla! Holy Cow?! How in the world does the most pregnancy-challenged TTCer end up with 3 in 3 years?! :lmao: I am so happy for you! :hug: Your girls are gorgeous.

DMickey- Vaylie loves the song from the Imagination Movers on their CD "Juice Box Heroes"- "Mover Music (Jump Up!)" She does the moves with it, and I actually don't mind the songs either. I love Elizabeth Mitchell (her voice is pure perfection and the songs are not obnoxious); we love Sandra Boynton's books and CD's (we have "Rhinocerous Tap" and "Philadelphia Chickens").

Bethany- hey- missed you! Good for you getting the shopping done! I still have to order Vaylie's chair and then buy for the people whose names we drew. But, that shouldn't be too bad.

Jen- I wish Vaylie wasn't so darn picky. She did chow on turkey, mac'n'cheese (of course), grapes and this strawberry/cranberry jello stuff that my aunt makes (it is so good!), but that was it. She refused to even try anything else. Oh well. At least she eats fruit. Hopefully veggies will come with time.

And I love online shopping too!! Love it! I just did some shopping for myself at Lane Bryant (.com) and got one heck of a deal! I got 6 sweaters (SIX!) and 2 long sleeved tees for $107!!! :woohoo: If I had paid full price, the total (before tax) would have been $336!!!! :cool1: I was so excited. I needed a new cream/tan/camel/or brownish sweater (one of those colors) for our family Christmas pictures. Vaylie's dress is chocolate brown, and I'd like us all to coordinate without necessarily matching. Our appointment is on Wednesday. I'm going to Portrait Innovations, and I have never been there before, so I hope I like them. My SIL has had good pics from them, though, so I'm going to try them out.

i'm so tired. here are a few pics from ellery's party today. she's still going strong, lol...

Ash- Ellery looked adorable! LOVE the pics with icing all over her face!!

~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm tired too. Worked this morning, then had another Thanksgiving (DH's family) and I think I have gained about 10 pounds.
It's supposed to SNOW tomorrow! :woohoo: I love snow!
Has anyone used "Portrait Innovations" for pictures? I have an appt. there on Wednesday. I'm excited, but kind of disappointed because SIL says that they don't do the picture CD's the same way as Sears (we always get the picture CD- I love that I can buy the copyright and print my pictures out anywhere).
OH my goodness!! Congrats! It wasn't that long ago that many of us were having issues TTC, now they are all walking talking and up to no good.
Ash - She is absolutely adorable! I love the icing pics. Christopher was totally grossed out by icing at his birthday (at least by eating it. Poking it was another story), so I have no good icing pictures.
So I've discovered something not to feed you child until they are potty trained and need no help. Sausage subs. We made subs with peppers and onions the other night. He loved it, ate like a horse. However, the diapers the next day were horrific. I actually washed a load of diapers that night because the stinnk was so bad I was getting lightheaded :) That is totally going to be a meal for times when I work the next day ;)
Ash - Ellery looks adorable! The cake came out great.
Jen - Honestly, why would you think that Sausage diapers would not be horrific??? ;) Ewwww ..... Totally Ewwwww. Nevermind washing the diapers, I probably would have tossed them! :worship:
Nothing exciting here ... Alexander has yet another cold. I have no idea how he gets these unless it's from Gymbroee. Seriously. He had one two weeks ago. He barely slept that night before last because he was coming down with it and yesterday he was a sneezing, sniffling, coughing mess. He didn't nap and we had company over for dinner last night. That was fun. :sad2: Dh ran out and got some more vapo steam for his room so between Motrin, a warm bath and the vaposteam he slept pretty decent last night. He is also napping now but I don't know how long to limit it for.
Jen- :laughing: Sausage subs just sound like a bad idea. Vaylie loves "shaushage" but no way would she eat onions or peppers. DH wouldn't either, though- but I love them.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
And I'll be lucky if we can keep the party hat on Mo's head! He HATES hats now that he realizes they are there! :rolleyes1
Ellery hates hats too, she will always grab them off if she can, BUT she was so distracted by the cake we probably could have put anything on her head. :rotfl:
