The New,New Hotel Thread-Yes, We're STILL Waiting

So many people think it is a scam, worry over paying taxes, etc....however, this is totally a by-choice promo. You don't HAVE to participate if you are worried about it. Tons of us have been watching these threads and trying for this fun deal for days. We are willing to spend the time it takes to possibly be one of the lucky ones like other fellower Dissers who get to go on a dream WDW for a lot less money that we normally do.

If you are worried about scams, taxes, etc., you totally have the choice NOT to participate and not to watch these boards. The rest of us are hopeful and are having fun while trying! And like the OP said, we are using a credit card just in case. If something turns up bad with our CC, worst case scenario, Visa will send us a new card and we will not be responsible for charges we did not authorize.

Whew, I feel better now. Let's hope for some pixie dust!

Yeah, although I really did not like how things went down on Mon with NO info fronm the company...I'm glad it is still running.I'm amazed that so many people act like it should be coming to them and they deserve it. No ones but is sorer than mine...but its a contest, not everyone wins. Sitting on you buttocks all day does not entitle anyone to anything.

Oh my gosh, so true! I think of people as Debbie Downers all the time, too!!!!! We are all trying to have fun together here and score a great deal like you and so many other great Dissers have shared with us. You and the other winners are PROOF that it can happen to us too!

Let's hope all the raining on our parade stops and maybe it will be replaced with pixie dust dropping down from the skies for all of us!!!! I'm hoping we get a big load of dumped right on top of our heads!

What is the ever elusive "video" like. SInce I have been at this since thurs. and have NEVER seen the video. I'm dying of couriosity about it. Some one said it is just an add for the company. Does it have Janice and Kevin? what is it? I want to be prepared so I know it is the right thing if this EVER happens to me.

First, you'll get a blue screen and the video will play in the middle of it, it's just someone explaing how to use their site. Be prepared because as soon as the video stops that's when you find your hotel and enter your info. I entered my name and so forth, then another video popped up and I had to watch that before entereing my cc info and finalizing my booking. HTH!

True, there are definitely frustrations, but thankfully it is still going. It is exciting to hear when folks have gotten the deal. It keeps the hope alive for all of us in the Sore/Flatt Butts Club.

You'll know when it starts because it's the only thing on your screen. It turns blue, then the vid runs right in the middle. You can't miss it!!

Like everyone else - I've gone to the site and looked around far too many times. I've read these threads for the past week and hoped for a ticking clock. In my case, it wouldn't really matter if I got one since I'm still on dial up from yesteryear and know for certain i wouldn't even be able to open the video before my time ran out

Handbag lady - I think I remember reading you got a week in Hawaii. Believe me, if that ticker came up and I was able to get a week out there 9especially with all the snow we have) I'd probably throw all my concerns right out of the window.

Yes, there is someone explaining how to use their site. I had practiced many times finding what I knew to be the Disneyland Hotel, you can check the 4 star box, that's how I found it so quick since it was the last one on the 4 star list.
