This is not a brand new site that just popped up last week. It has been there for years from what I understand. This is just their way of getting the word out that they have changed the way they do business to the undercover style. To me, for a rather large internet business, 2 complaints in the last 12 months is not that bad. The BBB gives an F if they don't respond or don't settle it with the consumer. Not all consumers are easy to please!

I kind of was/am worried about this since it seems almost too good to be true. However, I did get my confirmation receipt with the amout of $0.00 USD on it so I wasn't charged anything. Also, I plan to call my hotel directly before we leave just to make sure that my room if confirmed with the hotel itself. They didn't ask for my ss#, so I don't think that I'll owe taxes on this, but if I do I'm still saving a ton of money. Also, using my Disney Visa will allow me to dispute charges if necessary, so I figured I have nothing to lose.

I am not really worried about not having a hotel room at check in. There have been several reports of people who already checked into rooms that they "won" during this promotion and everything went fine. I think there is also someone on this board who called Disney and actually has a Disney confirmation #. I have heard a couple of people got in on the deal today, but not as many as previous days.....hopefully several people will see pop-up videos this afternoon/evening!!

Well I have been following this for about a week now. I signed up for the e-mail clues but have yet to get one and yes I have check my spam folder. Anyway, If I am lucky enough to get the chance I will go for it

So many people think it is a scam, worry over paying taxes, etc....however, this is totally a by-choice promo. You don't HAVE to participate if you are worried about it. Tons of us have been watching these threads and trying for this fun deal for days. We are willing to spend the time it takes to possibly be one of the lucky ones like other fellower Dissers who get to go on a dream WDW for a lot less money that we normally do.

If you are worried about scams, taxes, etc., you totally have the choice NOT to participate and not to watch these boards. The rest of us are hopeful and are having fun while trying! And like the OP said, we are using a credit card just in case. If something turns up bad with our CC, worst case scenario, Visa will send us a new card and we will not be responsible for charges we did not authorize.

Whew, I feel better now. Let's hope for some pixie dust!

As far as the taxes go...their initial terms and conditions (which are on the SD forums), do not state it's a contest, and you are winning a "prize" etc. There are particular rules that need to be listed in order to run a contest. IF you book a very high value room, I've seen some for $5k, then they may ask you to provide your SSN and sign an affidavit before they confirm your hotel. If you check into your hotel, an affidavit was never signed and your SSN was not provided, you won't be paying taxes on this. Can you imagine if they just sent 1099's to the IRS with names and no SSN's? I think they were get laughed at.
