I know that there will be other events at the ACC during my visit, I didn't look at it carefully and didn't see what is happening. I just saw the link that you posted and just like you said that it will busy at the ACC during this weekend.

I don't think it will be busy, mostly just loud. Besides you are going for fun and hopefully do good in the tournament. Do you play for cards? As in can you win other people's cards?


Sometimes I think it is odd how people wonder if conventions will effect DLR. It seems to me that people love how they can get priceline deals on the Hilton and Marriot. What they don't relize is that's because the hotels don't fill up except under two conditions. A Holiday period when the resort district is selling out completely. Or a big or multiple large conventions going on at once.

The Clarion, Marriot and Hyatt aren't there because of DL. They are there for the ACC primarily. Business travelers are their primary business, tourists secondary.

It's not like 3,000 people going to XYZconvention means 3,000 people going to DLR. They are going to the convention. Some may want to go to the park before or after. Just like when you go to play Yo Gi Oh, you going to do that. And because you are a Disney fan, if you can fit in some DLR you will.

It is a girl in my opinion...although my Mom disagrees but when the swelling goes down we will break the tie.

Easy birth all we had to do was help her get dried off..it is sunny today but a bit breezy and the poor thing was shaking.

I remember during the D23 Expo in 2009 that the parks were very crowded after the events at the ACC. Just like you said that since it is Spring Break, it will be crowded no matter what with a convention or not.

We don't blanket they were born & bred here and do great. They get all shaggy in the winter.. We did pblanket the two babies this winter though as we were a little worried that they would get too cold since they were only 7 months old when it started snowing... Their mothers removed them.

During these YCS tournaments, you have to go through 9-12 rounds of duels. (That is only for the first round) Than you have to be back on Sunday and have to compete in five more rounds to win the tournament. The tournament gives out a lot in prizes, for example the winner gets a gaming laptop cpu, 3 limited ed cards that can be worth up to $500, paid round trip ticket to Nationals. The other people can get limited ed cards plus stuff like an iPad, etc. for finishing in the top 10. This is not a joke, they do give out great prizes and it can be worth the trip if you get in the top 10 out of 2000+ players. I am not like those players which goes out of the way and go to other cities and competes in these tournament.

If I don't do good, I can just go over to DL and enjoy the rest of my visit. Its a win win for me.

When i was at the ranch in Idaho the horses has a winter coat and were really soft.


That remings me. What kind of fencing do you use? Is it only panels and barb wire. Can the horses get down to the milk to drink?

That's pretty cool. Better than giving out Tshirts and coffee mugs. Though out of a couple thousand it will be hard to finish so high up.

While we were out at the pasture I took a bunch of pics of the river...You could def go tubing there now! Our twelve foot banks are now down to about 5 feet and our fishing spot is 100% underwater so that will need more than a little maintenance once the water recedes if it is even still there. Sadly I couldn't find our Canadian Geese but their annual nesting site is also underwater so I hope they come back I would hate to miss the babies this year.

Went to the store because I saw saw screamin deals on Easter Chocolate, Got what I needed and made it out without a peep.

I bought some peeps tonight. My son loves them. They have them with the bottem dipped in chocolate this year. But they wanted almost $3 for a package of three. That just seemed exspensive to me. Especially when you can get 5 regular ones in a pack for 99 cents................

Funny you said that! Her legs are really long for a foal.. she had a heck of a time standing up the first time! All of us thought she looked like a baby Moose too! She may end up getting called moose occasionally LOL

Did your ground get saturated from the quick melt?

It happened here last week. Got warm, some rain to melt 2 feet of snow real quick. Water all over. Then is froze and now it has snow on it again.

I'm wondering if there is a ice dam down the irrigation ditch somewhere.
