Mom_Rules, you are going to be working with the most incredible group of ladies. I just can't say enough nice things about them. Even when we had the room problem upon arrival, I was able to call Alana and she had it straightened out within minutes. I probably won't book the Yacht Club again, KerryCM has convinced me to try the Boardwalk, but I know they all share the same planners.
I'm days away from our
Disney cruise. I went to the mall this morning and I can't believe the sales. I got some new tops and a dressy outfit for dinner at Palo's. I even found a fleece Tinkerbelle top at the
Disney store. It's lime green, so I should be easy to spot. It had been marked down from $35 to $9.99. I couldn't have spent more than $60 dollars and I got 4 outfits. Now I just need to pack. We're flying out of Boston on Monday night and thankfully the weather is looking good. We're going to spend the night at the Hyatt in the airport and then trying out Southern Elegance for a ride to the port.
It will be depressing to have no counter when I get home though! We're supposed to be doing a big family trip in the Summer of 2007. For Christmas, I purchased baskets for each of my sisters and filled them up with park maps, lanyards, pins, Disney piggy bank, autograph books and the Passporter planning guide. My sisters haven't been to DisneyWorld in 20 years and they totally don't understand my obsession, but after looking through all the stuff in their baskets, they've decided to try for the Summer of 2006 instead. I think we're looking at potentially 16 people ranging in age from 8 to 42. The only problem is that they are campers. They plan on renting one, driving it from Boston and staying at Fort Wilderness. DH and I plan on flying and staying concierge. This is not going over very well with my oldest DD who thinks that it would be so much fun if we were all together. I've tried to explain that there's a reason why my sisters and I no longer live in the same house and we get along great with only seeing each other once a month. I can't even imagine being in a motor home with that many people, in Florida, in July. That's a recipe for disaster right there. Nope, DD and DS are more than welcome to embrace communal living with their cousins and aunts. DH and I are going to take youngest DD and try our hand at resort hopping. I'm thinking a few days at AKL cl, followed by BWI cl and then perhaps a brief stop at WL cl before finally ending up home, GF RPC. All in all, it will be 2 weeks at Disney. Of course that pretty much means that after this cruise, there won't be any more vacations until the summer of '06. I don't know if I can make it. I'll try to be strong though. I can't even imagine spending 2 weeks in Disney, that will be so awesome.
Goofysmuse what's the Goofy family doing for New Years? We're going into first night. I love the way they do the parade and the family fireworks. We've been doing it for years and even though the kids are older, it's nice being back at home by 9pm. The weather is looking okay and hopefully it will stay cold enough for the ice sculptures this year.
