Happy Day After Thanksgiving to all!

Where is the treadmill??? I sort of envy those of you with snow. .My kids remember sledding with their cousins last year on Turkey Day - we had 8 inches last year! Just so the white stuff doesn't mess with our travel plans next Friday!
I asked earlier but will ask again - and maybe I asked on the resort thread - does anyone have the address for the BWI IPO? Not e-mail, but mailing address? I'd like to send something to them. Thanks for any help! Happy shopping!

Goofy'sMuse - Love that trivia! I remember going to WDW the year it opened and again in 1978. Things have certainly changed! What was most impressive is that you still had a magazine from 1983! LOL

I LOVE, LOVE LOVE my nieces/nephew! They are the most loving, sharing little dolls ever. We told Tyler this AM about his surprise trip to Disney. We were all prepared for tears from big sister Bailey who will be staying home this time. No tears from her - she started telling Tyler about the 'neat hotel" and taking the boat to see the castle and the mom-o-rail. When his mom asked if he understood that he was going on a big boy trip without mom, he said, "Me, auntie Donna, Uncle Steve and Bailey are going to Disney World." Mom told him that Bailey isn't going this time because she had her turn last time. Tyler hugged his sister and said he wanted her to go too, because he loves her! What a little heartbreaker he's going to be. We worked it out by reminding him that Bailey has school every day now and planning what kind of present Tyler will bring home for Bailey just as she brought a present home for him. Now it's time to start the real preparations like laundry and packing.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is enjoying the rest of their holiday weekend.

I have finished putting up all of our Christmas decorations and the tree smells so good. It is amazing how much you can get when you don't have the DIS available.

Debbie I hate to sap all of your AKL energy, but I am so excited about our stay in May. Just to clarify, I have booked a Deluxe room and have requested the Arusha Savannah. Will I be happy with this Savannah? I just don't want to look at holding pens or only trees. What is the difference between the Arusha Savannah and the Zebra trail? Gosh, I feel like there is so much I need to know. Thanks for all your help.

After CRO told me that it was "unavailable", I was able to book AKL CL for my dates in May. I was able to book online. What's up with that?

Anywho... now I need to know how I get a Savannah view. My reservation says "Concierge Pool or Savannah view". How do I make sure I get the savannah view? Also, can I still get the Qn, bunk, daybed configuration?
What else do I need to know? Now for those AP rates....

Here is a map of AKL. Look at it really quick before you read the rest!
Zebra trail has a view of the arusha savannah on one side. On the other it is pool view until about halfway down then it becomes Uzima savannah view. Different people prefer different views, and walking distances. Zebra Trail/Arusha Savannah/concierge will put you between the lobby and the elevators, usually, which is just perfect. You walk along the lobby to get to the front elevator, and take that to the sixth floor concierge. (front of the building, sixth floor). Don't worry about being non savannah view unless you requested smoking, and even then you can beg/plead/carry on and get the view you really desire before you even get there! *been there done that* I like the view WAYYYYY out on the ends, but it is a walk. I do have to say that our suite view was very nice, but part of that was having the two different balconies and obviously the huge amount of space!
Arusha savannah can also be seen from Kudu Trail, but you don't want that side. Sure, it is a great view, but there is an elevator short cut on the Zebra Trail side that takes you straight to the pool area/Mara/Boma/Jiko/Pool bar.... did I mention pool bar? It is a great place to watch a hockey game, during a NORMAL season!
